    Local Guest Account

It would be nice if there was a local guest account (external access forbidden) for temporary users. For example, someone that's visiting that just wants to turn on a football game. It shouldn't save preferences (or just delete them on log off) and as a matter of rule, is read-only. Basically think "do no harm" access level. It would also be nice to be able to enable/disable this guest account quickly (e.g. visitors coming over). I would also use it for testing purposes so, for example, testing early afternoon, Emby doesn't get the impression I like watching soap operas.
  2. Feature Request. A present I have several user accounts setup for family members. When we sit down together to watch a movie we currently log into one account (Mostly mine), so obviously only this account gets the watched status. What happens then is everyone uses my account because there's isn't up-to date and it's "just easier". This results in my account telling me I've watched something when I haven't... I would like the ability to log into my account and select/deselect which other users are present so that when a movie/TV episode is watched together, their watched statuses are updated accordingly? The next time you log in again all other users would have been deselected. It could be implemented so each user account can do this, or only select user accounts can. Even a special "Family" user account, or multiple viewers button as long as everyone's watched status is correct. Even just ticking the users present on the login screen before login into an account.
  3. Hey i have tried looking but cant see anyone asking for this yet unless i have missed it somewhere. would it be possible to have an added control to the admin pre-sets for other users for the way there layout is set up. this would be for users that use the tv mode vertical or horizontal. currently admins can pre-setup certain configurations for users but one that cant be done is to have a default setting for horizontal or vertical layouts.

    Emby Connect Cant.

How long after the invite is accepted does a new new user have access to my Emby server over the cloud? Whats happening: On android the user chooses to Connect with Emby Connect, next screen opens she enters the correct username and PW then clicks connect. Immediately returns to the previous screen to choose connect with Emby connect again. Repeat. repeat. Thanks Jaden

    Download Only Accounts

I have a request that I'd like to see implemented if possible. In Emby's settings in a user account, I've noticed that you have the ability to enable file download. It would be really nice if you could also set up a check box to to prevent streaming, so that downloading is the only option. This would be useful in the case where you have limited bandwidth or cpu power but still wanted to share collections of media with a remote family member. This way they could download it, but not stream it.
  6. Is there a way to setup 2 local accounts with no passwords to login with the "Friendly" login for Theater. Then a 3rd account with a password for remote login, without access to the 2 other accounts? I can't seem to get it setup where the 2 accounts with no password won't show remotely. I have the 2 other accounts setup where they can only be accessed by the local HTPC, and those accounts can't login remotely, that is until I login with the 3rd account user name and password. Once I have logged in with the 3rd account, I can swap users and login to the first 2 accounts with no password remotely, even if I use the logout option for the 3rd account first. The 2 other accounts remain wide open and accessible. Only way I can block access to the is to lock them with a password also. I would also like to set when accessing remotely that only manual login is available for better security. I have been searching the forum and github wiki but can't lock things down remotely unless I lock them down locally. Appreciate any guidance. Thanks!
