  1. Hi everyone, My first post here so I'll try my best to include as much detail as possible. Here is my Lounge home theatre setup: Nvidia Shield (2019 Tube version) > LG TV (GX) > Sonos Arc (via HDMI 2.1 eARC) The Sonos Arc and LG GX are both new to me but one thing I didn't realise when I purchased the TV is it unfortunately doesn't support DTS in any format and neither did the Sonos Arc (until a recent update) so unfortunately my Shield needs to convert DTS (in all flavours) to DD5.1. But certain videos fail to play properly. They show green screen with artefacts and stuttering and isn't watchable, however the sound is fine. I can see on the server that it is transcoding the audio as expected and the server doesn't seem to be under huge load. Server is Ryzen 5 3600, 32GB RAM and SSD as boot and transcode drive with GTX 1660S for hardware acceleration. It can happily transcode and convert HDR to SDR (on my bedroom TV) so audio shouldn't be a problem if it can do this (pretty heavy!) task. I know that there is an Emby app for the LG TV and one of the troublesome videos does appear to play as expected with converted audio so I do think the issue is the Nvidia Shield. This is the only other supported player I have that can test all the various things such as Dolby Atmos with the Arc other than the Shield. However, the Shield goes into a HDMI Matrix which goes to 3 other TVs around my house so I don't want to stop using this but am happy to upgrade to the Shield Pro if it'll make a difference. Has anyone else had the same issue with their Shield or can offer anything else to try. Happy to suggestions but please don't say ditch the Shield for built in apps as its required for other areas around the home via the HDMI Matrix. NOTE: converting DTS (all flavours) to Stereo doesn't seem to affect the video. Just when converting to DD5.1. Thanks, Mike

    Add Sonos Support

Hi All, Would it be possible to add Sonos streaming to the Android app? In my head it would work in the same way as the Chromecast streaming currently works. I've been looking at some public APIs for Sonos https://github.com/SoCo/SoCoand it seems you make a UPNP connection to the device and can then send the track to be played as a URL. This would allow people to play their music at any location that had a Sonos device, regardless of if the server was on the same network. Regards, Llygoden

Sonos Connect no more listed in Play To

Hello, I do not know if this issue occurs since Emby Server v3.0.5882 but it is a recent one (it worked correctly with v3.0.5870) : my Sonos Connect is no more displayed in the Play To drop list. It is still discovered from the Win10 built-in feature and I can still play music directly from Windows Explorer, so it is not an issue from the network layer (including the firewall) nor from the audio gateway, also nor from my ADSL box. Could you please help me (and all those how are having this problem) ? Many thanks by advanced. B.R. Eric D. J.
  4. Hi, Looking for some help Emby Server Version 3.0.5675.1 O/S WinServer 2012 R2 E Issue : playback stalls after a while (say 10 minutes) you get to watch 5-10 second clips, then a pause, then the next clip. Everything had been fine, until I shut the system down for a couple of weeks at the beginning of July, and it hasn't worked since Specifically, it stutters on Android and Web on windows PC, and the new Kodi addon just says 'opening stream', but never plays anything (previously it used to directly play the file). I suspect multiple problems At this point, I'm supposed to attach a server log file, but the one for today is already >10MB, so will need to cut and paste lines. Looking at it, the bulk of it is two lines repeated 2015-07-23 13:11:09.8799 Info - App: HttpClientManager POST: http://192.168.1.102:1400/MediaRenderer/RenderingControl/Control 2015-07-23 13:11:12.2548 Info - App: HttpClientManager POST: http://192.168.1.72:1400/MediaRenderer/RenderingControl/Control the two IP address are two Sonos Zone players (there are five in total, the other three never appear in the list). I'm not sure if this is a red herring (as far the suttering / transcoding issue goes) but I think it indicates something that needs fixing Less often, you get the following error 2015-07-23 11:13:29.7802 Error - UpnpContentDirectory: Error processing control request *** Error Report *** Version: 3.0.5675.1 Command line: C:\Users\NetAdmin\AppData\Roaming\MediaBrowser-Server\system\MediaBrowser.ServerApplication.exe -service Operating system: Microsoft Windows NT 6.2.9200.0 Processor count: 8 64-Bit OS: True 64-Bit Process: False Program data path: C:\Users\NetAdmin\AppData\Roaming\MediaBrowser-Server Application Path: C:\Users\NetAdmin\AppData\Roaming\MediaBrowser-Server\system\MediaBrowser.ServerApplication.exe One or more errors occurred. Not sure if it shows anything. To me it looks like it was transcoding away at 500 fps, then stopped with an error, but I could easily be misreading it TranscodeLog.txt ServerLog Ist Half.txt
