User -> Home Screen -> Library Order - Please add a "move to top" button
jeremymeyers posted a topic in Feature Requests
This is a small UI request, but... In the user settings for Home Screen -> Library Order, the libraries can only be moved up one or down one. There is no AJAX drag-and-drop and no way to move something to the top or to the bottom. This results in a messy experience for those with a not-small number of libraries. It would be great to add a 'move to top/bottom' button for each library and/or create a drag-up-and-down interface thing.- 2 replies

Hello I'm new to emby, looks like a good software. I was a plex user for a long time and I jumped ship because of this having to login fiasco. This maybe far fetched but I am curious to comments. I have plex and emby working right now and I am wondering if there is a way to share or move the preferences from the plex DB. What I mean is the prefs that plex keeps to know what I have watched and not watched. Having a big media folder it would be cool to be able to move these preferences. any thoughts?

Feature request - Emby Server - Add 'Favorites' as a view toggle in user options
filecore posted a topic in Feature Requests
It's quite useful to be able to quickly add/remove items as Favorites with the context menu while in the Emby app (via WMC or elsewhere). I use this to keep, for example, a handy list of TV shows I'm currently watching, so that I can go to that selection rather than wading through all the shows I have. My son uses a list of Favorites in his movies. In many cases, like the TV shows example, it would be nice to have a per-user checkbox configuration option in the Emby server's User settings to toggle the Favorites view option to be enabled when the user logs in. Currently, it's disabled by default and the user must navigate to the Favorites option on the settings bar (MBC on WMC) which, while not a lot of extra work, gets wearisome when it's pretty much my default first action for any given view. I'm aware there might be sort order issues as per the comment in http://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/21749-favorites-on-ehs-chocolate/ but perhaps the setting could be implemented in such a way as to toggle the Favorites view after the user has entered the category view, when the option is checked in User config? Thanks for taking the time to read through this! I've been a supporter for about a year now and I'm generally very happy with Emby -
Disable Access to User Preferences removes settings for device area as well
BAS posted a topic in General/Windows
I like to control my user preferences as the server admin, it was brought to my attention that this prevents my users to be able to get to the one area that matters especially for web client users that may change browsers or use a different pc often. Settings for this device section is not available for them to turn off prefs for theme songs, backdrops, external vlc but most important the bandwidth. The toggle I'm using is Disable Access to User Preferences and the description reads If enabled, only administrators will be able to configure user profile images, passwords, and language preferences. Which is exactly what I'm after but I would like them to have a option in the slide out menu to get to the settings for this device area still. -
Server Version 3.0.5588.1 Preferences->Homepage Option "My media (small)" no longer works.

Hi, Is there a way to prevent users from changing my preferences or removing this icon and allowing the administrator only to set these preferences in the users (edit this users personal preferences), as this is being rolled out across a school to 1500 students, children will play with settings and cause alot of work.
