    Podcasts library content type

Is there a way to set the content type of the podcasts library? While the library appears on the home screen, it isn't listed in the library server settings. I think I remember seeing a post on these forums (sorry, I don't have a link) where someone said they were able to set theirs as audio books. But I'm not seeing a way to do that. It could've been an older post so maybe this is no longer possible.
  2. I've encountered what I believe is a bug, probably easy to fix, in the Linux server. While I was tracing folder access errors, later to my embarrassment caused by simple wrong folder permissions, I created multiple libraries for Music Videos. One, the first I created, would have the normal path with a fair number of music videos (/media/Video/Muziek); then 2 additional with the type Music Videos but each of them would have one folder with a test video. Those 2 test folders were not in the Music Folder tree but separate and from the device's root folder (/media/Video/Music/American.../test1 and test2). As a result I had 3 images in the Admin UI with Music Videos. 2 of them with the test folders. I waited until the libraries where created and scanned - and then while I wanted to change some parameters I clicked on one of the two images with the additional test folders, or on the three dots and then Edit - the form opened and that didn't show the correct path the library was created in, but the path of the first 'normal' Music Video library. That was obviously not what I expected. The strange behavior goes one step further - testing it again today- : while the emby server is scanning the new library, clicking the three dots (or the not yet completed preview image) shows the right folder path, but once it's created and the preview image is there, the wrong path is displayed. Just a small thing and I'm sure not very common but i thought I'd let you guys know. No idea if a Windows Server has the same behavior. the pictures below show 1) my libraries created during testing 2) the folder paths of 2 test libraries and 3) the folder path in that library after scanning is complete.

    New Library type: "Showcase"

I've been mulling over a new library type that would be great for a couple different content types that I feel the existing types don't cover properly, such as standup comedy and documentaries, as well as allow for users to make custom presentation arrangements & accommodate for non-standard stuff that might not even be scrapable too. I call it the "Showcase" type. In the attached pictures I have made mockups of how this would work. A library set to this type would collect its contents and then display them in rows similar to how Emby shows the recently added on the web interface frontpage already, with content arranged by the names of the folders that are the first tier in the library. IE: if the library is laid-out like this: Library\ -Root Folder 1 --Subfolder A ---FileA1 ---FileA2 ---FileA3 --Subfolder B ---FileB1 --File1 --File2 --File3 --File4 --File5 -Root Folder 2 --File1 --File2 --File3 -Root Folder 3 --Subfolder 1 ---FileA1 --File1 --File2 --File3 The library would be flattened to the first tier, with display scrollers showing: Root Folder 1 FileA1, FileA2, FileA3, FileB1, File1, File2, File3, File4, File5 Root Folder 2 File1, File2, File3 Root Folder 3 FileA1, File1, File2, File3 (for this example, assume that the files are chronological) Files in each foider scroller would be listed chronologically, or alphabetically if chronological data is not available. Some of examples of how this could be used: Standup Comedy Allie Wong Special 1, Special 2 Anthony Jeselnik Special 1, Special 2 Eddie Murphy Special 1, Special 2, Documentary 1 Richard Pryor Special 1, Special 2, Special 3, Documentary 1, Documentary 2, Movie 1, Movie 2, Movie 3 Hallmark Movies Garage Sale Mystery Title 1, Title 2, Title 3, Title 4, Title 5, Title 6, Title 7, Title 8, Title 9, Title 10 Jesse Stone Title 1, Title 2, Title 3, Title 4, Title 5, Title 6, Title 7, Title 8, Title 9, Title 10 Murder She Baked Title 1, Title 2, Title 3, Title 4, Title 5 SenatorIvy's Library of Random Approved Stuff Ivy's Top 3 Event Horizon, The Thing, Jaws Sharktown Jaws, Jaws 2, Jaws 3, The Shallows, 47 Meters Down, 47 Meters Down Uncaged, The Reef, Tintorera Family Movies file1, file2, file3, file4, file5, file6 Ivyland Favorites Movie 1, Movie2, Movie 3, Movie 4, Movie 5, Movie 6, Movie 7 Documentaries People Documentaries 1,2,3,4,5 Music Documentaries 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8 Movie Documentaries 1,2,3,4,5,6,7 Wrestling WCW 1,2,3,4,5,6 WWE 1,2,3,4,5,6 -- Miscellaneous Safety Videos 1,2,3,4,5,6,7 Old 80s Garbage Shorts 1,2,3,4,5,6,7 Faces of Confused Elderly 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8 Hopefully this makes sense and seems like a good idea; I have multiple libraries where this display format would make things much more presentable and easily browsed, as I'm sure others do as well.
  4. When I scan libraries some of my content doesn't appear. I had been on an older version of emby on ubuntu when the hard drive went. I then installed emby 4.4.2.0 on a windows 10 machine. My content is all on an external WD usb attached HD. Some of my libraries were now empty and others reduced in content. An example is a library which had tv series and movies with content type "mixed" (worked on my old emby) Now emby showed no content!! Found that if i changed type to "TV" then just the folders would show up in emby. If i then changed to type "Movies" then just the files would show up. Again, if I changed type to "mixed", nothing shows up! Help!
  5. I had issues in the past with my library with the content type "Music Videos", where it was creating entries without a valid path and thus unplayable. I moved my media to a new location, and copied the "Music Videos" folder and pointed the library to that new location. Removed the old location, and EMBY re-scanned the library. It's found all the content, that worked prior to moving, but it's created all entries now with no "PATH" and thus non are playable. They have all the other METADATA, just no "Path" entry. They all have an added date of 1/1/1, for some strange reason too. What is the current solution to this, is the "Music Videos" library type working? Should I just change it to something else? How do I get functionality back?
