The ASK - It would be outstanding if we could add a LastAccessedDate to the API calls for EMBY. One possible location could be GetItems, FIelds=LastAccessedDate. I do see that there is a Last Played Date that is recorded per an individual playing the content. This should make this a relatively "trivial" addition by defaulting the field to False and writing the Last Played Date to it anytime anyone plays the content. If you want to take it a step further, anytime anyone plays the content continuously for longer than X minutes. The distinction here is a global last accessed date independent of each user's current Last Played Date. The WHY - One of the staples of content management is the ability to determine an item's last access date as it determines the relevance of an item. Most of us do not have unlimited storage, which means if something has never been accessed or played in two years, it is evident that no one cares to have it on there; as such, it should be removed. This could also be helpful data to display internally for those not leveraging API calls. While PLEX did not have this data natively, the ability to pipe Tautulli into the system did allow you to have the data accessible in a programmatic way. The WORKAROUND - The only way I can see to accomplish this today (natively) would be to pull a list of all users. All of their individual last played data, combine, clean up the data, restrict to a date/time window of interest, compare with the entire list, and remove the difference. This, unfortunately, will likely be the path I head down as my need is more immediate. But what could essentially be a single line or two of code to accomplish has now become a multi-series set of loops to build a dataset that can be used for this purpose. I appreciate your consideration, and if I am missing something blatant, please let me know.

I'm running Emby Server on a 2018 Macbook Pro 13" on MacOS 12.1. There are two small issues: - The Emby Server tray icon doesn't fit in visually with the other tray icons (which are all monochrome). - The Embery Server tray icon and the pop-up menu are blurry (especially visible on the menu item labels). I'm also including a screenshot of another tray menu for comparison.

As far as i know emby is capable of extracting images from series and movies. Especially on older tv series the images for episodes provided by the moviedb are often b*******. But because they exist, emby won't extract them from the media file and take the one from moviedb. Even if i delete them, emby won't extract an image anymore. I would highly appreciate to have a button to manually trigger the extraction of an episode image from media file. The same goes for music. Often the images embedded are better than the ones provided by audiodb. I would like to have a button to choose the embedded image over the one provided by audiodb. Thanks in advance!

First of all, Love your work! Well I've seen how emby merges two different versions i.e by finding differences in the Filename. Like if file 1 is "Abc movie - 720p" and file 2 is "Abc movie - 1080p60". In such case it will merge both versions and give option to select either "720p" or "1080p60". What I propose is that in case file names are completely same, use resolution and birate from file metadata to give clear option to the user. I think I'm probably not making sense? Please check out the attached screenshot, it might be helpful. In that screenshot I have renamed the file to have resolution and bitrate but that's not that easy to do manually. but as emby has all the file metadata, it can use that and instead of splitting versions by Name, it should be done by the the resolution and bitrate got from the file metadata. ... and this is the file metadata I'm talking about: I think I made my point clear (._.') I have raised the point on Github as well, but I thought that it would be better the open a discussion here, so everyone could contribute. https://github.com/MediaBrowser/Emby/issues/3436 Just a bit of background before I start; I take a lot of photos with different cameras 1 small digital camera, 1 DSLR, 2 to 3 Smartphones (don’t ask :S ) especially when I travel and sometimes I even collect photos from friends that travel with me. All of this to say that I have a sh**tload of naming conventions for the files and I can’t just put them in a folder and expect these to be organised. This is where Emby takes place as I use it to organise and watch my photos. Everything is stored by Year\Month\Event\ (an event could be one single day or e few weeks trip if I am lucky). Unfortunately, I didn’t manage to display these in an organised manner: when I open the folder then I can’t have all the files sorted by date or anything else regardless of the filename… Hopefully there is a “simple” tool that has been helping photo enthusiasts which bring me to my first point: Make EMBY read and display the EXIF information from the files https://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/63047-photo-library-make-emby-read-and-display-the-exif-information-from-the-photos/ This is the step one, I don’t know if this is already being used but it would be nice to be able to display the EXIF info on top of the photo being displayed. This is something that was offered by Flickr. It would use the coordinates where the picture was taken stored in the EXIF and display the picture in the world map. I think that this was a bit specific in the past because we needed to have a GPS module tied to the camera but now every smartphone does this out of the box (without even asking your permission). I think this should be seamlessly integrated into the Photo slide show. Face/Place/Scene recognition https://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/63051-photo-library-faceplacescene-recognition/ Let’s push it further, why not including a face recognition that would allow us to sort our collection by people or by scene (city, sea, mountain, etc.) or by place based on GPS coordinates this could automatically name the place and allow us to search or sort based on this item. Anyway, that’s what have in mind for the Photo library module. I understand that there is so much to do elsewhere but I have always considered the Photo library as a core function of Emby. Right now, it is not really usable, I think the read & display EXIF info and sort by EXIF would be a minimum, the timeline is a nice to have and the map+Face recognition is beyond that. When searching for subtitles in with the media manager web interface (edititemsubtitles.html) it would be nice if the media file name was shown. This would make it easier to select he correct subtitle according to the information given in the file name. The extracted media information available for the movie (itemdetails.html) could also be available in the subtitle search page (edititemsubtitles.html), to help if the information given in the filename is insufficient. Suggest the media information is normally hidden to keep the subtitle search page uncluttered.
