Hi I am trying to setup my remote server to theatre like I had before but it isnt connecting. I recently changed to a large drive storage, I tried to add new server but it wont connect. I have tried various ways of adding both LAN and WAN addresses with the two port options that I retrieved from the browser ver of emby which I am able to access. I then used the details from the dashboard screen which I copied to the theatre manual setup screen. I remember this worked fine before but now it wont connect. I reinstalled emby theatre for WIN but didnt work

Hello, I have a few ideas for enhancements to the Live TV system. 1 Support for more headers in m3u files... eg.live (1/0) - disable/enable live stream flag, so play and seek controls can be enabled or disabled tvg-group - to set network/studio group of radio and tv streams for easier grouping tvg-url - so xmltv guide data can be bound directly to a channel or m3u file, bypassing the built-in gui method #bg-color and #bg-size - to alter the background color and size of the channel tile metadata display - eg. jQuery Stream, embedded m3u/8 comment, Icy-Metadata, Icecast CORS/ACAO headers. Emby Theater: Resuming from Beginning works but Not Resuming?

Hello All, This issue is on Windows 10 Emby Theater App. I have a bit of a problem. When I start any video that I have on my Emby server from the beginning in Emby Theater, it works almost perfectly. However, when I stop anywhere at random points, whenever I try hitting the, "Resume" button, it is forever stuck loading. I am forced to restart the Emby Theater for a video to work which defeats the purpose of resuming. I can stop in the middle of a video and hit the, "Resume from Beginning" button and it works great. This is my temporary fix when using Emby Theater but I hope that someone may know of a solution to this issue? I wasn't having much luck searching in the forums. Any troubleshooting advice would be appreciated (unless this is a known bug). -
Bonjour, Je viens de constater un bug avec Emby Theater. Pour bien comprendre de quoi il s'agit, voici la configuration que j'ai mis en place : - Un serveur héberge uniquement Emby Server. Il fonctionne sous Windows 2016 serveur avec un reverse proxy sous IIS. - Les films sont stockés sur un autre serveur. Seul mon serveur Emby a le droit d'accéder à ce serveur. - Tous les films sont lus en streaming (fichiers avec une extension en strm). Si je lis mes films depuis ma smart TV, ma tablette IOS, mon smartphone sous Android, ou n'importe navigateur web (Edge, Chrome, etc.) tout se passe bien. Emby Theater accède sans problèmes à mon serveur Emby. Par contre, si je veux lire mes films à partir d'Emby Theater, le film ne se lance pas. Il faut que je transforme le serveur qui héberge mes films, en serveur de réseau de diffusion de contenu (CDN) pour que cela fonctionne (ce que je ne souhaite pas faire). Cela prouve que mon client, qui utilise Emby Theater, cherche à accéder directement au serveur d'hébergement des films. (Ce qu'il ne peut pas faire puisqu'il n'a pas les droits) Le problème est identique, quelque soit le type de connexion externe que j'utilise (Non sécurisée, sécurisée, reverse proxy).

Hello, Recently, when starting Emby Theatre on my PC the app displays a black screen with only the emby logo on it. I have to guess where the "close window" button is (upper right corner) to kill the app. Windows reports (Task Manager) three Electron and one Emby sessions running, taking 0.2 - 0.3% CPU and about 80 - 82 MB of memory. Last activity before this was to delete a user account through Emby Server on my NAS (QNAP). After trying Emby on other devices, I found this: - Emby has this issue on a device accessed by the deleted user. - There is no problem on a device where the user was not logged in. - There is no problem on a device with a first-time Emby Theatre install. From all these, it seems that the deleted user left some traces related to those devices which prevent the app to launch on them. Is there a way to remove a device from Emby's records (not just from the device list, which I did)? Are devices registered by an id or IP address somewhere? How can I fix this problem? (10 hours later) SOLUTION: After a few hours of experiments, Emby Theatre (and similar apps on TV and iphone) came back to normal. It seems that the issue was solved after I stopped the Emby server on QNAP, rebooted the NAS, then restarted Emby. .

Hi, I have my Apple TV HD set to play Dolby Digital 5.1, and am trying to play media ripped from DVD into mkv h264 ac3. It is playing back as PCM. I have tried playing Dolby content from the Apple TV+ app, and it works fine. I believe this to be an issue with the Emby Theatre app. I am aware that mp4, mov and m4v are natively supported by the Apple TV. I am having an issue with the Windows 10 client connecting to my Emby Server. The client is connecting ok and I can click on Recordings or TV Shows and that works ok. Then I click on Halfwits and Heroes which works ok. Then I click on the episode I want to watch and that is where the problem begins. I click on Episode 1 and it eventually comes back and starts playing but it is 15 minutes to 1 hour later that it starts. This is the list of how my Emby Server is setup: Server: Ubuntu 18.04.3 Connects over Ethernet through a switch to my NAS where the data files are stored NAS: WD My Cloud 4 TB Connects back through the switch to my WiFi router WiFi Router: Netgear R7000 video is sent wirelessly to my laptop Laptop: About a 1 yr. old laptop that I have converted the 1 TB HD to two SSDs Emby runs fine on both Roku's we have plus on my Samsung Tab S4 tablet and on the server itself so I believe this is a Windows 10 issue. I will connect the Emby log. Windows worked just fine for several years even though I was on a different Ubuntu version. Please let me know how I can get Windows to work again. Hi Emby I've been a long time users - love your app. Quick question, I recently ran into a weird problem where my Emby Theatre showed a blank screen after launch by the screen saver worked perfectly. For some weird reason I could not get Emby Theater to show my library but I could connect via any other device and stream so the server was working perfectly. I then decided to reinstall and now Emby Theater looks quite different - with cut down options on the setting screen. Has something recently been overhauled? My current versions are:- Server - 4.2.1.0 Windows Emby Theater 1 .1.257.0 The interface looks quite different with a big green block around each movie as you navigate. I also notice that the window in EMBY Theater has a white ribbon on the top - like it's in a window. Can that be removed as it looks horrible on my big screen (I'm running a PC into my LG TV) Thanks for the help - Rob

Hi, I think there is an across-the-board change that needs to be with all Emby player apps. 1) Remove codec and channel layout info from Audio Language drop downs, only display the Language 2) Display Video and Audio codec info (including definition, channel layout and resolution) in a similar fashion to parental rating/closed captions mark. 3) Offer a setting (probably in Display settings) to display Media Info as icons (like CoverArt does) instead.

Hi, With the progression of Emby I am surprised there is still no function to set a TV series as currently being watched/followed. This is a much needed function. This would also tie in with the watched function, so only unwatched items from series currently being watched would appear in Next Up. To vote for this feature, please like/upvote this post.

I'm having issues with videos being out of sync Movies or TV shows and not just 1 or 2 but almost all of what we watch. If I play them outside of Emby they play fine. example: if I play them directly out of the folder they are fine. All video codecs are up to date, using on a windows 10 PC Lost as to why this is an issue it happened after the latest up to Theatre..

Hello @@ebr, After reinstalling Ubuntu 16.04 LTS, and Emby... I was finally ready to install my plugins. After I installed CoverArt the library failed to display correctly on ET (XBO), and the web (Chrome). I unistalled it, and the library is back to normal. Evening all, I'm having audio sync problems when playing through ET's internal player (v2.5.16). I have 2 groups of media; Movies (MKVs from bluray rips) TV (MP4s from bluray/dvd rips) So far all movies have played perfectly. However every time i try to watch one of my TV shows I get 1 of a few different audio sync problems. For example; 1. when playing a Big Bang ep (mp4 from bluray) the audio either starts off perfectly or ever so slightly out but by the time the episode has finished the audio is completely out of sync. (I also had a video issue where movement was ghosting on screen but that seems to have gone after playing with the settings) 2. when playing a futurama ep (mp4 from dvd) the video instantly starts twice the speed to of the audio and continues throughout. If i play these through the web browser there is no problem. I have tried playing with all the ET audio and video settings but nothing seems to solve the problem. Currently running windows 7, my Media Centre is connected to my Onkyo AV reciever via hdmi and then to the tv. I know there are settings within the AV that can help with audio/video sync but seeing as the problem isn't consistent throughout all my media i can only leave these settings as they are. Before i go through and rebuild the whole PC from scratch can anyone shed some light if they have been able to fix this problem. Seems to be mp4 specific. Hi, Emby is really nice and I decided 2 weeks ago to buy a Premiere license to support the team. However, audio Playlist management could/should be greatly improved. Alternatively, as a newbie, maybe I missed something... Let me describe my situation: I mainly own music compilations, best-of and singles (old LP’s and EP’s recorded to mp3) + some albums. To avoid file duplication, I save only one copy of a song in my mp3 folder and use Playlists to “virtually” define Albums and Compilations (~500 Playlists currently). My mp3 are tagged and covers are embedded in the Tag. Each Playlist is named following typical rules (Artist – Album.m3u) and is associated with its cover (Artist – Album.jpg) Playlists are organized into meaningful folders: - Albums - Pop - Artist1-Album.m3u - Artist1-Album.jpg - Artist2-Album.m3u - Artist2-Album.jpg - …. - Rock - ….. - Compilations - 80’s - …. This worked quite well with TVIX or Logitech Squeezebox (yes I know, I’m a technology dinosaur!). Thus, to manage my music collection within Emby, some workaround and some tricks are required. Firstly, I wrote a small software in Access 2016 VBA (see topic https://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/43369-m3u-playlists-batch-importing/). Now that my Playlists are imported within Emby, I would like to take the most of these lists. Unfortunately, Emby doesn’t provide a user-friendly GUI for playlists, neither using the web, mobile and theatre apps. For instance, there is no alphabetPicker to avoid browsing hundreds of playlists, no filter …. In my opinion, the playlists interface should have the same functionalities than the movie or music ones (with Artist - Album - Compilation - Genre menu for example). At least, the Playlist GUI should be similar to the directory browser, as exemplified inn the attached screenshots. Would it be possible to implement the movie/music GUI for playlists, instead of the current basic one ? If not, would it be possible to use the directory GUI and add Genre to the Filter menu (genre are auto-tagged by my Playlist importer) ? I hope that Emby developers can improve the Playlist view based on some of my proposals, or that someone could explain me how to change (if relevant) the playlists.html layout (under …\AppData\Roaming\Emby-Server\System\dashboard-ui ?) in order to implement some of these features. Hey Guys, I am new to Theater. See attachment. I have episodes showing outside the folder structure. Not sure why because physically they are not. Is it possible to create a theme for Theater like the chocolate theme in Emby for WMC? If so, how difficult would it be? Any pointers? I can see Radeon has created some themes but is it not possible to see screenshots of them before purchasing? Cheers

Hi, I am using the Emby Theatre on Xbox One S, and can not change the watched/unwatched status of any episode or season or series. I could do this fine on the web app in Microsoft Edge. Any suggestions?

Hi, I just sent the following support ticket to OPPO Digital, hoping to find out if Emby could be ported to their Blu-Ray players. Hopefully, I can get a positive response from them. I know there a quite a few people out there that have OPPO Blu-Ray players, that would like to see Emby available on them.

This evening I started up emby theatre and it presented a server named "Alex" as a media server to connect to. I was successfully able to connect to, browse & watch a movie from this server. Only upon talking with the Alex I know personnally did i discover that this actually wasnt his server at all; I had connected to some random strangers server and watched a movie off it. Their taste in media was, thankfully, more than acceptable, However I imagine this is a bug. I sent a message to the member named "Alex" letting them know the details. I have recently removed my emby connect details from the associated emby media server login: there appeared to be a number of exceptions happening fairly frequently in the logs related to emby connection. Not sure if it is related.

Hi Guys, So I had the email last night to suggest that Emby is ready for Windows 10. I know that Windows 10 is not going to have Windows Media Center so what are you replacing it with as a player? Is it Emby Theatre? Is this not still in Alpha stage? Can Emby Theatre be configured the same as Emby for Windows Media Center? Will all custom folders show the same? For example in TV I have multiple folders for either different people or some are for future. Cheers
