Emby started suddenly tossing up the Emby Premiere sign-up screen when I try to to play anything via a web browser on my Xbox One. I'm running Emby Server 4.4.0.40 on Windows 10, and viewing on an Xbox One, connecting to my local server using the built-in Edge browser. The logs before being locked out of playing say I was viewing on App: Emby Mobile 4.2.1.0Xbox One And after, it's App: Emby Mobile 4.4.0.40Xbox One I've done a hard reboot of the Xbox, and have restarted my server. I've looked at the server release notes between those two versions the closest thing I can see to this change is "Add web app splash screen to provide user feedback in case of long loading times" in v. 4.3.0.26. Is this an intended change, or a mishap?

Unable to scroll down in Edge (Chromium), Chrome or Firefox
YoungJedi posted a topic in General/Windows
I am unable to scroll down when logged in I go to Live TV and either when I use the keyboard down button or scroll bar on the right it bounces back to the top and does so repetitively no matter if I hold it down. Furthermore I am unable to select the password field in some occasions when attempting to log on. It works fine from another computer but not this one. -
Web App Not Connecting to Server in Microsoft Edge
SuperMinecraftKid posted a topic in General/Windows
I was inspired to try using microsoft edge for a couple days instead of chrome or firefox. I notice that when I try to sign in from app.emby.media I'm unable to connect to my server and get this error I tried clearing cookies as a shot in the dark. Didn't work -
Hi, Emby is not loading anything for me but the black background. Does work in MS Edge Chrome Console output: [Deprecation] document.registerElement is deprecated and will be removed in M73, around March 2019. Please use window.customElements.define instead. Hi, We have recently gained an XBOX, so naturally I have installed the Emby Theatre app on the XBOX for playback. with the hope of this replacing the aging Win7 Media Centre PC. Server 3.2.20.0 On attempting to play back a movie, TV recording or anything, all we get is a full screen image (backdrop) of what we are playing and nothing plays, very odd. So I did some playing about, I had recently moved the Emby server to a Windows platform, I can play a movie back successfully form the Windows 7 MCE with Emby Plugin installed. I can play back using Emby Theatre on Windows 10 devices. I cannot playback with Emby theatre on Android. I cannot playback via a web browser (Edge and Chrome tested on Windows 10, Chrome on Android). This has all worked previously. So I'm thinking there is a server issue on the windows device running the Emby server, this was a temporary measure as I lost my Ubuntu Emby server when the Freenas upgrade went in. I have installed the FreeBSD plugin for Freenas and after a bit of editing got it going (service would not start automatically). I have reconfigured, Emby is accessing media stored on NAS via smb://freenas/path/to/media... I have also specified the alternative path \\freenas\path\to\media... I can play as above but the issues remain with XBOX and Android. I'm thinking name resolution? so paths now have IP addresses, but the results are still the same. Looking at the ffmpeg log it does not appear to be passing the alternate UNC path correctly, but I'm not sure as it works on some devices? Is this a server bug? ffmpeg-transcode.log server.log

Hi there! first of all I would like to thank you guys for making such an great App! I have just discovered Emby and after a couple of testing weeks I might go Emby Premiere if everything works to my satisfaction! ;-) I'm running Emby Version 3.2.13.0 on a QNAP Nas with QTS4.3.3 Now if I use Microsoft Edge 40.15063.0.0 and go to "Movies" and select "Genres", I just get a list of all different genres but no movies are displayed. If I do the same with IE11 it works fine. let me know if you need any further information and I found a little typo in the german admin interface. If you go on "Einstellungen" - "Markierungen" there is following text: "Personalisieren Sie das Erscheinen von Empy um es Ihren eigenen Bedürfnissen, oder die Ihrer Organisation, anzupassen." maybe use "Aussehen" instead of "Erscheinen" makes more sence too. hope that helps cheers Päde

Hi, I wasn't sure where to post this, as I don't know whether it is a server or client side issue. I've recently replaced a failing SSD in my Windows 8.1 server and reinstalled Windows and Emby Server, along with Media Center Master. For the last few weeks I have been encountering issues with streaming videos to Edge on Xbox One and now Chrome on MacOS 10.11.6. The video will start playing fine for a few minutes then pause, sometimes it will continue, others it will just stay paused indefinitely. Originally, I was only having this issue with playing Friends ripped from Blu-Ray, as the MKV's were a direct stream rip from the Blu-Ray at full bitrate. I started re-ripping them to a maximum bitrate of 8000-9000mbps which solved the problem, but now it is happening from downloaded TV series as well. I have pretty much given up trying to watch anything from the server now as it is too frustrating with the frequent pausing. What can I do to solve this?

I am trying to edit Metadata through the Metadata Manager. When using MS Edge I just get a spinny wheel when I save changes. Works just fine in Opera. Any thoughts anyone?

There seems to be an issue with ¿rendering the last couple of minutes of an episode while steaming to another location. Playback cuts off and I can't get the stream to continue on any time frame. Attached, server log Server log is 61 MB!? https://1drv.ms/t/s!Asn6NNog54FdjIVX35DTwZ8UFJE-Dw Also, see my previous post: http://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/36884-server-3059850-high-cpu-usage-when-browsing-libraries/ Still not sure if this might be (partially) an new Windows function (probably one of the futures where all so excited about , for anybody remembering the Windows 8.x and 10 introduction mumbo-jumbo ) As a trail I'll start streaming using the latest Pale Moon browser. In my experience one of the most reliable and least resources intensive for the past 5 years.

Server 3.0.5985.0 High CPU usage when browsing libraries
Maximus Naxsus posted a topic in General/Windows
I update my Emby Server to version 3.0.5985.0 recently and my CPU usage while browsing with Edge has more than doubled. Windows 10 x64 10586.494 Phenom x6 @ 4,1 GHZ 16 GB RAM Furthermore, FYI, I use PhenomMsrTweaker. Under average conditions my PC doesn’t use more power then 170 W, now when browsing Emby it jumps to ~260 W. Also, I keep a close eye on Process Explorer. UPDATE: I seem to have the same issue on my ThinkPad T530 (i5 3230). However it occurred during streaming. Previously I used Emby Server with Emby Theather (old version) on my Server. The high CPU usages occurred while clicking trough serie episodes, about 1 episode every 3s. The high CPU usage on my laptop was gone when I closed Edge. After that Emby Server (the server webpage) streamed 720p/4 MBps without any hiccups or glitches. This might indicate that it has something to do with the Windows 10 x.420 update to x.494? Is anybody here on the Windows 10 'fast ring'? If so what is your experience with Edge while comparing the different builds? UPDATE 2: I had an recurring streaming issue. Attempted to uploud the server log however it's 61 MB. Here is an Onedrive link: https://1drv.ms/t/s!Asn6NNog54FdjIVX35DTwZ8UFJE-Dw.This log includes the time frame where I experienced the 'high CPU usage' issue.- 3 replies

Hi Everyone Been using mediabrowser/emby for a few years now and very happy with this platform. Previously using win7 and WMC for live tv with serverwmc and it was flawless. I've upgraded to insider release of windows 10 build 10240. I have been using the web client using IE and Edge, with nextPVR installed for LiveTv LiveTv works fine using NextPVR client directly, it's fast and doesn't use a lot of resources. Emby works well too, it's fast and responsive. I needed to address loopback issues to localhost using netsh so Microsoft Edge and the Win10 client from illusions can access localhost http services. So far, this works a charm and I really like both the native win10 client and web client, great work!. My issues started when I setup the NextPVR plugin to work with Emby. Firstly, NextPVR was returning a 500 error, which I was able to resolve. The NextPVR web client used by Emby was failing due to authorisation issues attempting to access ASP.NET temporary files under .NET Framework folder - even though their website is not hosted in IIS and I didn't have a "ASP.NET temporary files" folder. Fixed by creating the appropriate folder and applying the correct security perms to the System account. I could then access the NextPvr client and it worked via emby. Second issue I've encountered now is when I start up a LiveTV stream in emby, after a 30sec + wait time (due to transcode I'm guessing?), the stream from NextPVR will stream for a very short time then it cuts off in IE. In Edge, no stream loads and says "There was an error playing the video. Please ensure there is an open tuner available." - even though in NextPVR I can see the stream start and transcode. When I looked in the emby server logs with LiveTv debugging enabled), I noticed the following error: 2015-07-22 21:30:46.2533 Error - HttpAsyncTaskHandler: Error occured while Processing Request: Unable to write data to the transport connection: An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host. *** Error Report *** Version: 3.0.5675.1 Command line: C:\Users\Home\AppData\Roaming\Emby-Server\System\MediaBrowser.ServerApplication.exe Operating system: Microsoft Windows NT 6.2.9200.0 Processor count: 4 64-Bit OS: True 64-Bit Process: False Program data path: C:\Users\Home\AppData\Roaming\Emby-Server Application Path: C:\Users\Home\AppData\Roaming\Emby-Server\System\MediaBrowser.ServerApplication.exe Unable to write data to the transport connection: An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host. I've posted the full log file plus transcode logs to assist with diagnosis. I know Windows 10 is not RTM yet so I may get this is not supported, but it is only a week away and with people intending on upgrading and using NextPvr as their LiveTV solution with Emby, I'm hoping someone can provide direction to help sort this out. transcode-9951c7db-41f2-4868-a3ff-fa21a922812c.txt server-63573194482.txt transcode-0625bfc7-b1cc-4471-ae74-b20dbbc738c8.txt

Playto "Edge" shows spinning dot in center that keeps going around and around and around... its like watching a little bug crawling on my monitor. Using Windows 10 Home w/Edge browser and playing to it from FireFox. I do this so that I can keep it full screen on my second monitor while not messing with my browsing in FireFox. Sadly I no longer have WMC w/external MPC and Emby Theater is so unstable it is not an option. Any idea on how NOT to see this dot (pixel) going around in circles or another alternative? I do see in the server config, that this file is transcoding. Is that why there is a spinning dot?
