    My Boxset Folders

New Link for Standalone Disc http://blueeyiz702.wixsite.com/posters/standalone-disc still 2 seperate folder A thru L and M thru Z. 500 + Some Standalone Disc i did over, look much better
  2. I have some large boxsets (upwards of 66 discs) and it would be massively convenient if multi disc albums had the option to be treated more like collections (so select boxset, then album, then track) rather than one massive album (select boxset, scroll..., select track). If each disc could be titled it would be even better. All this info (disc names etc) is already available of musicbrainz.
  3. How I can add a movie to a collection using C#? I'm developing a plugin and want to be able to add a movie to a newly created collection during, for example, Refresh Metadata/Identify action. I tried: QueryResult<BaseItem> collections = _libraryManager.QueryItems(new InternalItemsQuery() { IncludeItemTypes = new[] { "collections", "Boxset" }, Name = collectionName }); // one collection item found if (movieItem.AddCollection((BoxSet)collections.Items[0])) { // once with UpdateToRepository, once without movieItem.UpdateToRepository(ItemUpdateType.None); // movieItem.UpdateToRepository(ItemUpdateType.MetadataEdit); } and this: _collectionManager.AddToCollection(newCollection.InternalId, internalIdMovieItemsArray); During the action, I can add another movie to the newly created collection, but not the one I'm currently updating. How I can add a movie to a collection using C#?
  4. I have ripped some of my dvd box-sets with a resulting folder structure like this: /movies /box-name /movie_a /extras /movie_b /extras and so on, no problems so far. Now some boxes include bonus discs with more extras. Where do I put these? It would be wrong to put them in some of the "/movies/box-name/movie_x/extras" folders since they don't belong to a particular movie but to the whole box. But they won't be recognized by Emby if placed in a "/movies/box-name/extras" folder. And by placing them in /movies/box-name/bonus/extras" they'll clutter the whole library since there is no main movie in "/movies/box-name/bonus". So what is the correct way to place the content of a bonus disc of a dvd box-set?
  5. Hi, So I am building a media library of workout videos. While many of them should really be entered as TV series (and behind the scenes I am making progress to let TVDB allow them), I was working a lot making entries at moviedb first. At moviedb for a long time they officially have supported this media type as long as one enters each workout video individually (as if it is standalone), but marked as a video. This works OK and you do get a nice poster for each video that people will photoshop to in a title to say what day it is (e.g. Leg day) - but it does mean that in Emby I have to set up a (movie) collection for each workouts series, and add each individual workout video into that collection (e.g. A Little Obsessed has 5 workouts). But when you get to something like 80 Day Obsession which has 80 videos, even though someone has entered them all individually in MovieDB, it is proving to be a PITA to manually create a collection in Emby for each of these. Since I'm planning on switching my Emby server from Windows (test box) to the Nvidia shield (in a few weeks, as my main Emby server) - I'd like to just create a collection in one of these 3rd party metadata database sites, and have Emby pull it all from there nice and clean. I did install the "Box Set Plugin" in Emby and I notice that it automatically put all the Star Wars movies into a collection without having me having to do anything! This is cool - except - Moviedb does not allow people to create "collections" in their database for anything but genuine movies themselves, and genuine sequels that are well known (e.g. Star wars 1-9). People who want to make a collection for things like all Marvel Universe movies have the same problem as I do. Moviedb says they are working on a solution for the Marvel Universe problem but it may take some time and even then it may only be allowed for genuine movies? Sorry for the long introduction to explain the problem, but does do any of you have a similar problem and an easy solution? is there some sort of "box-set" like plugin that doesn't rely on moviedb, or maybe somebody else runs an "unofficial" collections database that The Box Set / Collections plugin can link into?
  6. For my boxsets, I used to have everything organized the old MB2 way, with boxset folders and movies within the folders. For example: \Movies\Matrix Collection\The Animatrix (2003)\A Detective Story (2003)\A Detective Story.mkv \Movies\Matrix Collection\The Animatrix (2003)\Final Flight of the Osiris (2003)\Final Flight of the Osiris.mkv . . . \Movies\Matrix Collection\The Matrix (1999)\The Matrix.mkv \Movies\Matrix Collection\The Matrix Reloaded (2003)\The Matrix Reloaded.mkv \Movies\Matrix Collection\The Matrix Revolutions (2003)\The Matrix Revolutions.mkv This served my purposes, but obviously didn't work as well with MB3/Emby since the Movie view had all of the movies without the collection folders. This morning, I decided to remove all of the boxset folders, and use the "group into collections" feature to better organize my Movies folder (I was tired of looking at 12 consecutive Land Before Time movies when scrolling through my movie view). So far the results are exactly what I wanted to see but I have a couple of new problems. My main issue is more of a general problem - can you create custom collections of movies that don't necessarily have the same TMDB collection id (or any collection id)? I don't really see anything in the metadata manager to accomplish this, but I assume it is possible. For example, how do you organize the Animatrix when you have all 9 stories as individual media files? TMDB treats this as a single anthology movie, but they do have the individual stories as separate movie entries as well. The problem is TMDB doesn't include the individual stories it as part of a collection anymore, either as a standalone "Animatrix" collection or a part of the Matrix collection, so I just have 9 random movies spread out across my movie collections in no particular order. Ideally, I'd like to have an Animatrix boxset as a nested boxset within the Matrix collection, but I will settle for standalone Animatrix collection. I know I can create an "Animatrix [boxset]" folder and put the individual movies in there. That will create an entry in the collection view for the Animatrix movies, but they still show up in my "Movie" view as individual movies. I cannot figure a way to group them in the movie view as well, and I haven't figured out how to nest it inside of the Matrix collection either. A secondary issue (somewhat related) is adding a movie to an existing collection. For example, TMDB doesn't include the new "Minions" movie as part of the Despicable Me collection, and is inconsistent with the various shorts and mini-movies that are part of that franchise (some are part of the collection, some aren't). If I manually edited the TMDB collection id in the metadata manager so they were included in the Despicable Me collection, would it group everything together? And would it get overwritten the next time it refreshes the meta data (I don't see an option to lock the id fields).
  7. Hi there. Is there a way to display and sort the data at the movie genres like the way it is in a boxset structure ? Or maybe an other option to display more then ten results? Also When you click on "more" and have your "second view at view the "secondaryitems.html" page the layout is only for landscape and not sortable and changeable in other viewtypes.... Does anybody know how i can change that? And is there a way to set the viewmode in landscape for default ? I hope anyone can give me some more info Thanks Greetzz

    Box sets and Movie view

With Box set we can get a menu to view them all but could the boxset also appear in the movie menu when we browse in MBC instead of seeing the actual movies in the set. I think the point of making boxset is so that we dont have all the movies of the set individually shown in the Movie area. Is this something to come or should i add this to the feature request?

    Boxset Logos

I have created some Boxset logos for my personal use and thought I could share here. Feel free to use as you would like. They look better in Mediabrowser than just plain text on your boxsets. All in png format. 210+ in the collection, view the gallery here. Download the collection here Download is about 35mb in total. All logos are in a format of 800x310 pixels
  10. Is there no longer an option to manually ADD a Boxset to your collection in the Metadata Manager? I thought in previous MBS versions that you could enter the Metadata Manager select your Boxset Collection and there was an ADD button available. I like the ability to decide what does or does not get added to my Boxset collection, so I prefer not to use the Auto Boxset plugin. Am I missing where that option is now? If not, could it be added back to a future release? Not a huge problem. I just went to my Boxset collection (\Users\NAME\AppData\Roaming\MediaBrowser-Server\data\collections) and added the collection folder I wanted with the [boxset] tag, re-scanned my library and then I could enter it in the Metadata Manager under Boxset Collections and ADD the Titles I wanted in the collection. It would be nice if that ADD option were still available in the Metadata Manager.

    Create Custom Boxset with Server?

Hello all, it's my understanding that with the new beta Auto Boxset Plugin that you can use the server to create annd edit custom boxsets. I spent the last few hours reading just about every post with the "tag" boxset, but havn't seen a tatorial or screen grabs. Any help would be great.
  12. I have all my boxsets tagged with [boxset] in the title and noticed that it shows up within Media Browser. Is that tag no longer supported? I thought brackets were supposed to be ignored completely (from view)? It does still work in the web client when viewing boxsets, however, so it is still recognized.
  13. Is there a way to create a custom Cover Art overlay for Boxsets? I currently use the DiamondCDs overlay for boxsets and the regular Diamond overlay for everything else. I like the Diamond option but I don't like the large CDs within the cover. The DiamondDisks option makes the cover look smaller than non-boxset movies. I also want there to be some sort of a differentiation between boxsets and non-boxset movies... So is there a way to just change the CD image of the DiamondCDs overly (I want to reduce the size of the disk or change it to just a colored dot)?

    Auto Boxset organization

Hi, I was wanting to display my boxsets created automatically in the same view as with my other movies. What I am finding is that the boxset shows, but the children of the set show outside the set as well. Is there any way to say that if a movie is populated inside a boxset that it is not displayed individually? Hope this makes sense...

Auto Box Sets - Feature Request(s)

Hello @@ebr. Love this Plugin, but don't use it quite yet due to the way I use my own boxsets right now. I'm wondering if there could be a few options added into this plugin. First, this one I might potentially use, but I also saw another user request this in the reviews of the plugin. Quoted from Plugin Catalog; I have all my box sets in a different folder from my movies, and tend to use it to cleanup/decrease "movies" folder. Perhaps this could be tied into the Auto-Organize piece of the server, it could not only create the Boxset folders, but it could move the movies (folder with MetaData and all) in there as well. And I use the format of Name [boxSet] for all mine. So any chance if the automove/organize of the files was implemented, it could name them in this fashion as well? Just makes it more human readable when going into the folder. Also, I have a separate folder for all animated movies. It would be nice to be able to auto create boxsets in two different locations, and creating the boxsets from certain area's of my collection. Therefore when I have dumped all the Shrek, Toy Stories, etc in there, it would combine them into a boxset, but not be pulling in the other movies from a different area of my collection. I think these are quite complicated asks, so here is another possible request/option. Could it be possible for it to not create boxsets if they already exist there in the Name [boxSet] format? Thanks for taking the time to read this.

  20. Hello, Is there a maximum number of items in a boxset? I've just installed the boxset plugin and it works great (thumbs up for that one!). I do however have a problem in the webclient and mbt: my James Bond boxset only shows 18 movies while there are 23 on my server. I've checked the auto created boxset folder and there all movies are shown and all shortcuts work. I've checked the info for all movies and they all show the correct tmdb collection id (645). Is this a known issue?

  22. My Windows Phone 8 MB Client appears to respond differently to my folder naming convention that the main MB client. I have TV shows organised as follows: Battlestar Galactica [boxset] Season 1 1x01 - 33.WMV 1x02 - Water.WMV etc.. This works well on my Windows 7 Media Center client, which correctly navigates the structure On the Windows Phone 8 client, the [boxset] folder is ignored, resulting in lots of otherwise unnamed entries for shows called 'Season 1', 'Season 2' etc. The TV shows that navigate correctly in Windows Phone 8 are the ones where I didn't add the [boxset] suffix on the top folder. Any ideas?
  23. If the Boxset folder has a logo.png in it, the movie titles under the Boxset at not displayed correctly if there is no logo.png in the movie folder. Instead the title is replace with the Boxset logo. See . If there is a logo.png in the movie folder, the correct Logo is displayed. See If there is No logo.png in the Boxset folder then movies without a logo.png has the correct title displayed as text. Johnny M

    Boxset API

http://community.mediabrowser.tv/topics/9526?page=5&response_type=12 This is a link to an old boxset api with many great collection synopsis. I would hate to loose all these. If I remember there where many more that where not in the original thread. Now that Media Browser Server has made it very easy to add this and many of the ones that are automatically pulled are no where near as well written. I was wondering if there is any way this can be put in the fanart section or otherwise saved be for the old sight goes dark?
