Hi All, I am trying to configure DLNA-profile for my Sony Bravia KDL-40WE665, which supposedly hit the market in 2017. Wasn't there a way to "copy" an existing profile into a new one? When I just add a new profile, it is pretty much all empty. When I modify an existing (server-)profile, it says "Internal Server Error" when I save it, and the profile returns to normal when the emby-Server is restarted. So, what am I missing? What is the easiest way to make up a new profile that is based on an existing one? Thank you all, RooDee

Hi friends, since a couple of days now even low bitrate direct play freezes frequently in my Sony Bravia. (Like once every 15 to 30 minutes everything freezes for 10 to 60 seconds) It was working perfectly for months If not years. All other apps and other devices, no problems. Testet LAN and WLAN. Bandwidth is stable. Server settings didnt change like forever. Does anybody experience the same issues? Was there a recent app update maybe? Thanks Soki

I just got a new Sony BRAVIA (55 inch X90F - KD-55X9000F) yesterday and want to use the Emby app on it instead of the old HTPC running WMC and Emby Classic. The TV is running Android TV 7.0 and the Emby Server is currently version 3.5.3.0 on a Windows Server 2012 R2 machine. The audio system is an old Panasonic one with support for Dolby Digital and DTS and is connected via the optical out from the TV. The HTPC was connected to this system via optical out as well. Videos open fine from the Emby app on the new TV, but all audio is only being passed to the sound system as stereo instead of 5.1 as expected. Opening the same videos via the DLNA server from the TV has the audio pass to the audio system correctly as Dolby or DTS. Playing UHD Blu-rays from my Sony UBP-X700 passes the audio as expected as well. Most of my Blu-ray rips have been encoded as HEVC/H.265 with DTS-HD MA as MKVs, while DVD rips are the same with Dolby Digital or DTS audio. I have also tested using H.264 encoded videos. Hi, I'm a new Emby user currently trying to test and get a robust setup and things are going encouragingly well so far. I'm running the server on a 2012 mac mini and have managed to sort remote access over https with an external domain - all is working well via the web clients on my laptop, phone and tablet. I am however having a couple of teething problems with DLNA, I have 2 Bravia TVs of different types and manufacturing years - neither works particularly well browsing for network content. The Emby server is found, my older Bravia (KDL-32W653A) displays the content nicely in folders but plays the TV series with subtitles embedded in. The newer Bravia (KDL-42W829B) basically chucks all media out into one huge page in what looks like an unordered mess and no search either, not really useable! I looked at the preset profiles and custom profile section in the server admin area but didn't really know where to start. I appreciate this probably isn't an easy one to sort without having access to the Bravia itself but wondered if I could get some pointers on how to get the device to be picked up at least to attempt to load it - I'm not great at regex and have never created a profile before so a bit out of my depth really! Hi all. I'd really appreciate a steer on where I'm going wrong with my Emby setup - it's becoming really frustrating! I have Emby Server (3.1.266.0 beta) set up in Lubuntu 16.04. My machine specs are as follows: i5 6600t HD 7950 3 GB 8GB RAM 1 TB 7200rpm HDD for media I have a powerline based home network using AV2 compliant adapters. I've tried a couple of different playback approaches - DNLA via my Bravia TV, Emby for Kodi on my RPi 2 and an old Android TV box (Minix Neo X7) but none work reliably. My media is really mixed in terms of formats and bitrates. I used to have an HTPC in the living room so had no problems with playback, but since moving to a server in another room I have had real trouble getting many things to play successfully. Higher quality files often stutter then fail and I have problems getting HEVC and other files to play at all at times. I'm happy that my network speed is decent - so I guess the issue is transcoding? I have used the Bravia 2014 profile in the past, but this didn't really help. Can someone please tell me what I need to look for in the logs? There's no info on profiles in the wiki so I'm a bit lost as to what to change to force transcoding and what settings would be best to ensure reliable playback. Over the last couple of months, as I've sporadically upgraded emby, I've noticed some content streaming issues via DLNA to my KDL-42W670A. I've had these in the past but was extremely happy with how comprehensive emby was before now. Until Jan 1st I don't think I'd ever actually had something streamed by emby give me an Unsupported content warning. The most understandable is when something will stream, gives the warning, but then audio or video wont work... but extremely confusingly and somewhat telling that something is set wrong in the profile, I have a complete show that plays fine, Audio works, Video works... but displays the unsupported content warning over the top of the show that is playing fine!? I'm happy to dig in and begin tweaking the profile to try and find the source of the issue, but I'm not sure what the best way to begin debugging this issue is. I'm not even sure how I can confirm which profile emby is using to stream to the TV and that the issue isnt emby mistakenly using too new of a profile, one that might be meant for newer sony bravia tvs. Sony's website is frankly useless for this sort of info. I checked the codec support and the show that plays audio and video fine but with the unsupported content warning over the top is using the supported codecs, creating further confusion as to how to get to the bottom of this DLNA issue. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hey, I have a Sony Bravia KDL-32W600A and am attempting to play .mkv files, I can play the video fine, but if I pause the video, fast forward or rewind, The video plays back from the beginning. Has anybody had this issue and been able to resolve it? Thanks. server-63573965130.txt
