  1. I note that my Emby server will not go to sleep if my mobile has used Emby, BUT then the Emby app has been closed and cleared from android recent apps. The server dashboard still show the device in Active Devices: "Emby for Android Mobile 3.0.45" But I have a clue and a way to get the device removed. Apparently, Android 6.0+ will keep apps Active, even though they are not "open" and even if removed from the list of recent apps. The feature is "App Standby": https://developer.android.com/training/monitoring-device-state/doze-standby The Emby app shows as "Active" (not in standby) even when closed. You can enable Developer mode, and see which apps are in Standby, and which are Active: https://www.howtogeek.com/242834/how-androids-app-standby-works-and-how-to-permanently-stop-apps/ (Scroll to "How to See Which Apps Are Currently in Standby") Follow instructions above, scroll to Emby, tap it to toggle from Active to Inactive. Then after a while, the server dashboard drops the device from Active Devices, and will go to sleep. Is there some way to force the Emby app to Inactive/Standby when it is closed?
  2. Hi, Ive been using the Emby App for Fire TV for a while now & i really like it. Is it possible to setup the homescreen within the Emby Fire TV app to display my "active recordings"? I am able to set this ion my Windows PC & also my Huawei smart phone / tablet. It would be a really nice feature to have on the Fire TV app. Thanks. Neil.

    Emby in Enterprise Environment

So I work in the IT department at a pretty large school district. We currently have a very painful TV and broadcast system in place that no one seems to have the time to address a better solution. Being I use Emby and am a premiere member and love it, I feel that emby could come into play here. Main question here before moving further, is there any way to sync up Emby to LDAP? maybe active directory? Reason I ask is there are multiple buildings and we would be re-purposing soon to be replaced domain controllers as the Emby servers per site. It would render the solution almost unusable if we had to make changes on each remote site every time adding, removing, or modifying a user (people come and go). I guess this would be like a roaming profile in a sense? For example, If user is at Elementary 1 and goes to Middle School 2, then said user can still log in and access the local content and whatever wide area content is chosen to be available across all servers. Thoughts? Suggestions? Or am I shooting too high on this one?
  4. Hello All, I was wondering theoretically or actually? How many users or profile connections can MB3 except. Say, I have 3 friends and they all want to connect over my public ip and authenticate themselves against the profile setup. I figure it may depend on the type of hardware MB3 is running on or just wondering if there was a software limitation? Again, Big Fan... Noob
  5. Hi, I'm running MediaBrowser for Win7x64 and I use Media Center TV with set-top-boxes. It's great to be able to log in to media browser outside of my home and watch live tv or older recordings from a web browser. The only thing that bugs me is when I watch active recordings. I cannot seek. Like right now I'm recording a live tv sports event and it's a 360 minute recording and the only way for me to watch the active recording is to start from the beginning. If I stop and want to start again later, I have to start from the beginning. It's impossible to seek into the active recording. Once the recording has finished It's just like a normal video file and I can seek but I often I would like to watch when recordings are active. For me this is almost an unusable feature to use. Would it be possible to make seeking available feature for active tv recordings (WMC) ? Best regards, Arni Thor
