    Why these IMAP login attempts?

Installed Emby server on the same Debian box that hosts my mail server, and noticed it was trying to log in to IMAP using the Emby admin username. But I don't have the email plugin installed, or any email notifications configured. What's it up to? For now, I've moved Emby to another Debian machine that doesn't host mail services. But I would really like to know why it was trying.

Need a nudge in the correct direction

Good morning everyone. First I'd like to say how incredible this platform is, and express what a kick ass job you all are doing. Miles beyond my previous Plex setup, more streamlined, and just incredible. I was wondering if someone could point me in the direction of a configuration file, or process for restricting which SSL/TLS connection configurations are accepted by the Emby web server. A review of accepted connections is showing the server accepting TLSv1.0 which is insecure, TLSv1.1 which is coming up on phase out this year, and a mix of insecure/anonymous ciphers. I would lik
  3. Hello, I have not been able to send email notifications using TLS/SSL using the email notification plug-in. I am able to send using non-secure settings. I have attached the log of the tests I have done. I am in the process of migrating my server to FreeNAS 11. I was not able to send using secure setting on my previous Freenas 9 set-up. Any help would be appreciated. Set-up Emby: 3.5.2.0 (FreeNAS plugin build) OS: FreeNAS-11.2-RC1 Plug-in Version: 3.1.2.0 embytlsemailerrorlog.txt

    SSL Version Interference

I am still having issues with the chrome browser. I get a message saying SSL Version Interference. I Attached is the mono version I have installed (5.2.0) I believe to understand that I have this issue because Chrome requires a higher TLS version.
  5. It's 2016 and Emby (Community) still doesn't use proper TLS. This page has an Qualys SSL Labs rating of F (this should be A or A+) Most links on this page redirect back to HTTP Most pages are only partially HTTPS You can't login securely without editing the form manually You can't register securely without editing the form manually You can't post in the forum securely without editing the form manually Side note: Your PHP exposes its version freely in your X-Powered-By header Also, your plugin catalog images are loaded solely via HTTP. This results in some of them being blocked by modern br
  6. https://letsencrypt.org/ the free certificate authority it in public beta now and allows everybody to get valid free SSL certificates. It would be nice to have support for getting SSL certificates via their ACME protocol directly from emby. This would make it really easy for people to setup secure access to the server from the internet.
