Ever since the update that brought nicer SRT subtitles (1.0.52-1.0.53), SD content with VOBSUB stopped transcoding (client goes direct streaming instead), without the subtitles being shown at all and 16:9 content being shown as 4:3. It was possible to circumvent the issue by forcing transcoding with a low max bitrate, but after 1.0.55, transcoded 16:9 SD content also started to show up as 4:3, making any 16:9 content unwatchable. This is what normally happens when direct streaming such 16:9 content as it seems only VLC/FFmpeg compensates for the format 480p/576p appears in. I'm surprised that no one else has noticed this issue, I guess it might only apply to 2015 Tizen models.

I have a UN55KS8000 running 1.0.53 of the Emby Samsung app. I just installed Emby and am in the process of evaluating it. I am trying to watch live tv, and seeing weird behaviors. I am unable to time shift live tv. The FF/RWD and skip buttons do not seem to do anything. I do not see any progress or a time indicator dot in what looks to be the timeline bar. I don't see a way to bring up the fast channel changing with in video controls that appears on the page advertising the Samsung app. On the guide, when hovering over a show, it appears to try and bring up a hover at the bottom with additional information, but the transparency is hard to read and it is part way cut off. Any help or guidance is appreciated. Jeff

I have just noticed since to 1.0.5x update that audio option and subtitle option combo boxes display white on white so you cannot see the what is selected. I normally get rid of subtitles and multiple audio settings; hence not noticing for a while. If you select the combo, it displays the detail for selection ok, it's just the combo box display itself that you cannot read on the TV. I tried changing the theme but that had no effect on it. My TV is Samsung: Model: EU65HU8500 with SEK-3500u (Tizen) Firmware: 1530 Emby Client: 1.0.54

Hello. There is a problem with Emby Theater 1.0.44 on UE49MU6100. Some times when I resume a video the app hangs and won't respond to commands, and will crash when I press back button. There is outgoing traffic from the server when I press resume but than it stops. If I resume from the other device it plays ok, and if I rewind some time forward or backwards, than it resumes fine on TV. Log.txt

There's no option to select which version of the file to play on Tizen (although they do show on other devices).. Is this a bug, or just something that hasn't been implemented yet? Thanks.

Hello. This error occurs all the time. By DLNA, everything works fine, but the TV does not display the devices in the web application. UE43KU6400 TV. I tried to change the profile, the same situation. Best regards Oleg embyserver.txt

Using my smart remote I applied the filter "4k" to my videos. Only 2 results showed up, now because there aren't enough videos to get my cursor underneath the "filters" selection I can not remove or otherwise alter my filters to get the rest of my movies back. If I try to tab through it will cycle there, but because it goes through all the menus (Movies, suggestions, trailers, etc) instead of allowing me into filters it decides I wanted "Favorites" (the last menu item highlighted) and the screen switches out of movies to favorites and the option to change filters disappears. Plugging in a keyboard doesn't give me a mouse option, changing filters via web on the server doesn't reset my apps position. I've tried deleting the app from my smart TV and reinstalling, and resetting the server. No joy.

Is there anything that can be done to speed up the guide? It is very slow making it unusable. I have the KS8000 Tizen.

Hello guys! I'm having a problem with my subtitles in Emby App for Samsung TV (MU6100). The option to choose the subtitle language is there, but when selected, there's no subtitle running, not at all. I've tried in the web app, and it runs fine with the srt subtitle. The log file is attached. And both the server and the app are up to date. Thanks! server-63653356189.txt

I'm trying to more familiar with when emby/devices require transcoding. Trying to direct play a HEVC/Main 10 file but emby is transcoding and not sure if the issue is a Tizen hardward limitation or a profile issue. Sometimes when I turn on my TV emby is stuck with a black screen then I have to force close the app. I notice the same thing with emby on iOS. It is sometimes stuck in a black screen. What could be the cause ?

Hello: When I play x264 files that are remuxed from blu rays, or 4k files at very high bitrates the player freezes. Typically, I can watch 45 minutes to an hour before the player locks -- I get a frame every few seconds. This is a Samsung KS 8000. My Samsung UBD-k8500 player (not tizen) exhibits similar behavior, but it only shows the round circle indicating buffering, and continues on its merry way. If this is a buffer limitation, how do I fix it? If it is a player limitation, is there a player that is better suited? Adam Below is the mediainfo for the file that is giving me issues. There are two or three othere that have had issues. Hello: I'm having no luck getting external subs to work on my KS 8000. Even emby downloaded subs don't display -- only embedded ones do. I've tried several srt files, including the emby downloading service. BTW: Thanks for all the hard work. Emby is really the best in class and has made my TV everything that I want it to be. Log.txt

Just bought a new 2017 Samsung UN43MU6300. I did the usual stuff so that I should be able to install Emby outside the US but I cannot find it anywhere as an available app. It does not show up in a search. It used to show up in the What's New section but there does not appear to be a What's New section here. Am I missing something or has Emby not yet been made available for 2017 MU sets?

Hi guys, Probably a very dumb question, and yes I tried to find the reply already on the forums, and tried every possible key and menus on the app, but could not find: * How can you see which version number you are using when running the Tizen version? Thanks for your help! Kind Regards, Marc

Hello, I want to start using your server (I was disappointed in the plex because of the terrible application for my TV), but unfortunately in my region there is no application on the TV. Change of the region does not suit me, I use a lot of things, as I understand it, when the region changes, everything will be removed. Please send me (if possible) an archive with the application for installation via Tizen SDK (Tizen 2.4.0). In this I have experience, I think I can manage. Thank you for understanding. I apologize for the quality of the text, I used Google translator

Guys, in the application for taizen with direct play when switching audio tracks begins transcoding? Or when you turn on subtitles? There's no way to check the possibilities yet. but it's important to know. If transcoding is enabled there, then it makes no sense to wait for the application for my region I do not have

I have 3 different model Samsung TVs. Two of them always update to the latest Emby version (currently 1.0.32). The third TV is stuck on 1.0.25. It is a 2016 KS8000 and has auto-update set to on and when manually look at information, it has update grayed out like their is no pending update. Any idea why it is not updating or finding a new version?

Good day, I notice 2 issue: 1 - When selection actor to see the movies in, in that details screen, you can not go down to see the movie, only stay within the actor image and info. 2 - Subtitles always stat to English, when I select arabic, it turn off the subtitle, I have to go to the subtitles menu again to select the language I want. This on 4k 2016 tv model. My best
