    2-5 Second Recordings

I attempted to record a lot of college football this past weekend but most of the recordings only play for 2-5 seconds before stopping. It appears most if not all of them didn't record all the way (they all have extremely low video bitrates). I've attached a couple of logs - Mainly for a football game (or two) that aired on 9/3/2017 @ 630pm CST. Also I've been meaning to ask the following: I use a HDHomerun connect with two tuners - does that mean I can only record two shows at a time? If two recordings are in progress and its time for the next two to start recording, will the ones that are supposed start error out instead (ex, two recordings in progress to record from 159pm to 359pm but the next recordings are set to record at 359 pm since my recording settings are set for 1 minute before the show/movie. starts and to end 1 minute after the show/movie ends) Update: It seems two deleted library folders re-appeared and now my recordings auto-migrated to the library folders that were supposed to be non-existent since I deleted them like over a week ago. Also I added screenshots of the library issue plus the server logs What's strange is that the deleted library folders that re-appeared have a "1" next to the original name (ex. Recordings1 or Recorded Movies1) 9-3-2017 632pm (record-transcode).txt 9-3-2017 636pm (record-transcode).txt 9-3-2017 637pm (record-transcode).txt 9-3-2017 638pm (server log).txt 9-3-2017 642pm (server log).txt
  2. Server = linux debian install Client = Win 10 theater app I can schedule recordings, and I see .ts files created, but playback only results in a cover-art displaying and no sound. Live TV works and can play, pause, rewind and fast forward. Recording shows do not show in the "recorded" category until after they are complete. Once completed, they display in the recorded category, and they can be selected to play - however at that point, only the coverart shows up on the screen and there is no sound.
  3. So I have been investing some more time on the Live TV side. Just wondering if I'm doing something wrong as when I setup some organization to my recording folder I'm forced into having 3 library entries on my main screen. Is this the default behavior? Is there anyway to have the organization folders but not get new library entries added to home screen? As soon as I set those paths, my home screen libraries look like this. Which really makes no sense to me to add additional library entries to home screen because when I click recordings I get this. So what I'm after is no additional library entries for recorded organization folders on home screen. The goal is me putting these into organized folders is to eventually add the tv recording path into my main TV library entry and the same with Movies eventually. Thanks.
  4. I've installed Emby on 3 separate servers (Debian, Ubuntu, and Mint) to test. All 3 have had the same issue. Recordings are stop short. I'm using HDHomerun Prime which has that latest firmware. All three Emby servers have the latest version 3.0.7200.0 I've tried resetting the Medadata from the 3 dots at the top right. No help Tried changing the padding. No Help ******************************* Help would be deeply appreciated Thanks Log2.txt Log1.txt
  5. Version 3.0.6060.0 Windows 7 Pro x64 SP1 I am seeing some odd behavior when scheduling series recordings. I am using schedules direct for my EPG data and I have had to make use of the new guide mapping feature to get the correct info displayed for each channel. This is all working great. I became a Premiere member as well. What I am having problems with is series recordings actually getting recorded. I am just testing so these recordings not happening is not critical. But what I am seeing is not all the series I have set to record are showing up on the recordings tab (see attached screenshot). Some are, some are not. I had setup a test with MASH, NCIS Los Angeles, Star Trek The Next Generation and Miami Vice and as you can see in the attached screenshot only two of those showed up. Does not seem to be any logic to the missing ones - like a specific channel or what have you. I followed the exact same steps for setting each up. I can say that for the series that do not show up I do not get the red series recording icon when I set them up and for the ones that are working I do get that icon immediately after I complete the setup. I can record these missing programs as individual (non series) recordings. I have duplicated this problem several times using web UI via chrome v51.0.2704.84 and IE v11 and via the android app. So I am at a loss as to what is going on. I have attached the latest log. If I can provide any further info I am happy to do so, Testing I am happy to do that as well. server-63606626166.txt
  6. Hauppauge WinTV Dual-HD (WinTV8 and latest drivers) NextPVR v3.7.7 Server 3.1.6094.3363 - (recordings were done on previous dev version last night) I am experimenting with recording Live TV The recording is fine via Emby and the resulting .ts files are recorded fine and play well My problem is that they are saved to the directory location i set up in NextPVR rather than in the directory i specified in Emby server under LiveTv>settings The recordings were setup via Emby and the saved files appear in Emby>LiveTV>recordings page as you would expect - so Emby knows they exist Because they are not in the Emby recording directory they are not converted to mp4 So is this as its supposed to work or is there an issue here - i could point NextPVR to the same directory as Emby is expecting the recordings to be recorded to and would probably solve the issue (not tested yet). If thats the case why have the option to specify three different directory/sub directory locations under LiveTv > settings ? Anybody else seeing this? Have i missed the point? Doing it the wrong way? Thanks Tim
  7. Hi There, I have been trying to clear up some failed recording but I just cannot figure out how to do it! The media deletion check box is ticked for all users but I still cannot find a way to get rid of these recordings. I have confirmed before that the FireTV client currently cannot do this but I thought that maybe the Web version could. I waited as long as I could for the ability to be added but as yet nothing. I have now reached a point where it is delete something or run out of space and intuitive it is not! Please help. In addition is there anywhere in Emby where I can work out when my subscription will expire? I think it was pretty much around this time last year but I cannot figure out when that was. Many thanks.

    Erase recordings

Hi everyone, Maybe i'm just blind, but I cannot seem to find where to delete a recording after I have watched it. I am using both the web client and Emby Theater. I can set the recordings in the guide and they record with no issues. I just need to be able to delete them after I have watched them. Any suggestions? Guppy

    Missing Recordings

Hello, I found out tonight that Emby TV has been missing a bunch of recordings for at least a couple of shows, The Blacklist and The Big Bang Theory. I switched over to Emby TV in December, and all the episodes of each show recorded fine until the middle of March. But after that no episodes were recorded, but I didn't notice because I had fallen behind on both shows and planned to catch up over the summer. Tonight I noticed that the newest Blacklist episode was listed to be recorded in the Android app and on the web client, but that it never started recording. I looked in the server logs for the last couple of days and I found two references to the episode: 1. yesterday there was a message saying that the timer would fire in ######### minutes, and I checked the timing of the message and the start time would have been the correct 8:00 CST. 2. 26 minutes AFTER the episode was over, there was a message that the timer had fired but that the episode was already over. No other reference to recording the Blacklist episode appears anywhere in the log. I can attach a log, but from 15 minutes before it should have started until 15 minutes after it should have started, there is nothing but fetching some artwork for library items. No errors or warnings at all. I have no evidence that this is exactly what happened with all the other episodes because those logs have already been deleted. I have run several beta versions of the server since mid March, but this last recording was missed while running version 3.0.5978.0 on a Windows 10 PC. Any thought on what might have caused that large a delay in the recording timer?

    Audio, but No video

I am having an issue with Emby Theater displaying no video (black screen) but the audio is playing in the background on certain videos. Does it on both stable and beta version. It does this both when I try to playback my TV recordings that were made by Emby Server...also when I try to play many Live TV channels. I recorded a tv show (Ice Road Truckers) on History channel last night....when I try to play video back through Theater, I get audio but no video. I also tune to that channel through Channels using Theatre and same thing, audio no video. I have tried all the video render settings. No effect. Recording will stream just fine when I access my web interface and stream it through web browser. It only seems affect certain channels or streams....as I also recorded a show on Discovery Family (MLP.FiM) and that plays back flawlessly in Theater. Any ideas?
  11. Hello all, I currently have 50 recorded shows saved. I am able to view any of them locally from Emby within WMC, but 3 of the recordings are not listed when viewing recorded shows from the web interface, and ServerWMC only lists 47 recorded shows. There doesn't appear to be anything different about the 3 that aren't listed - all recorded to the same directory as the others and I have had shows recorded after those which are available from the Internet. All software is up to date. Any idea what I can check? I'm at work right now but can try any suggestions tonight. Thanks! Les
  12. I got the Nexus Player last night and hooked it up to Emby, and this is an awesome solution to my media center needs. I'm sure I'm just confused about this... but when I go to Live TV, I see a row for "Latest Recordings"... But I don't see an option to see *All* Recordings. Am I missing that in an obvious place? How do I see my non-latest Recordings from my Recorded TV? Like, I have 6 episodes of Hannibal recorded, but I can only see the most recent one. I'm using ServerWMC if that is relevant.

    Active Recordings Selection

MBS Version: 3.0.5395.0 Android Version: 2.0.87 In the WebUI section of LIVE TV there is an option that shows Active Recordings and it allows you to select this item and begin playing it from the beginning of the recording. Is this planned for the Android client? I don't currently see it as an option.
  14. Hi, I'm running MediaBrowser for Win7x64 and I use Media Center TV with set-top-boxes. It's great to be able to log in to media browser outside of my home and watch live tv or older recordings from a web browser. The only thing that bugs me is when I watch active recordings. I cannot seek. Like right now I'm recording a live tv sports event and it's a 360 minute recording and the only way for me to watch the active recording is to start from the beginning. If I stop and want to start again later, I have to start from the beginning. It's impossible to seek into the active recording. Once the recording has finished It's just like a normal video file and I can seek but I often I would like to watch when recordings are active. For me this is almost an unusable feature to use. Would it be possible to make seeking available feature for active tv recordings (WMC) ? Best regards, Arni Thor
  15. As I currently run Media Browser in every room practically now, using both Media Centre and Android, I love the fact that it plays pretty much everything anywhere, especially my free TV recordings from the Media Centre. I record all my FTA programs on my Media Centre and automatically push through to my NAS so they are available on every television within the house. Works well and I'm happy with the setup. What I was requesting is if it was possible for MBS to organize the recordings very similar to the way WMC does. Currently everything gets pushed to a 'recordings' folder on the NAS which is monitored by MBS and although all shows are available on every client, it just displays as a messy jumble of thumbnails in god knows what order. It makes it hard to try and work out what show I'm meant to be watching next, etc. It would be great if you could select 'Recorded TV' as a folder type and it then automatically categorized all of the 'similar' recordings and gave some nice structure to the layout exactly how Media Centre does it. Even just list the name of the show and the recorded date and list in date order (but grouping by show name). If this is not possible, then if someone has any ideas to get around this it would be great. As I love Media Browser and want to use just a single solution for all my media, it would be a huge benefit to my collection setup. Thanks.
  16. Hi! I do alot of tv recording and there seems to be a glitch when reading file info for tv recordings. I created a collection/folder that points to my Windows Media Center - "Recorded TV" folder. When browsing through the list, some of the info is incorrect like recording length, date and preview (screenshot). This seems to be random. For instance I recorded the attached file "MB3 - tv rec sample 5.png" last night and It has a screenshot and info but incorrect length. But when I open the file properties in windows explorer the correct info is there. Could it be that MB3 server is trying to read the info while Media Center is recording (writing to the file) and get's the incorrect data? I've tried (from web interface) the refresh button for one file and also for the parent folder with refresh child items checked but it does not fix the issue. It would be nice to see the air date and/or recording date and maybe have a sort option for that. Reg, Arni Thor
