Hi all, I did a new install of windows and mediabrowser classic after hd crash. Everything is working except plugin install. When i go to plugin catalog i can see al plugins and can highlight them but after clicking on it nothing happens. Using windows 8

I noticed today that much of my movie metadata was very out of date with TMDB. It was as if MB had synced once on initial library ingestion, but then never synced again. Hitting the refresh button ensured that those films which had no community rating or parental guidance value or overview, now did so, (presumably this metadata had been completed on the master providers after initial library ingestion) Personally I would like all metadata synced with the providors* except folder.jpgs and backdrop.jpgs (unless mine are currently blank). I would like to designate those aspects that i dont want to hand over responsibility to the online providors to change (ie dont sync). but i would like everything else to match the providors, album overviews, artist overview, all movie metadata, all tv metadata, everything. MB3 already instances the concept of "metadata the user does not want overwritten". so users can protect metadata they do not wish to be overwritten. Could MB3 implement an ongoing sync option, with a set of stated exceptions - (Sync Criteria) Users would have to positive choose to sync and only if their set of required exceptions were currently supported. If the user's case for required exceptions was not currently supported, then the user wouldnt enable sync and "no harm no foul". (but they might add a feature request)..ie to keep the option safe. Perhaps there could be a set of object types enabled/disabled for syncing (Episode, Season, Series, Movie, Collection, Album Artist etc) there could be a full set of metadata types in the ui.or more simply in the first instance just Primary Images, Backdrops, All other metadata For each metadata type for each object type there could be synchronise criteria = Never Syncronise, Only if Im blank, Always, Always except if provider is blank [don't overwrite metadata i have added locally but is not populated on the provider), Respect current granular setting For each object of object type (Episode, Season, Series, Movie, Collection, Album Artist etc) MB could instance a 'Last Synced' timestamp in the database along with an "empty" event flag (data was empty eg. no backdrop, no episode image). MB could stipulate a schedule for re-syncing per object type, or allow the user to stipulate a schedule. But a mandated schedule in first instance would probably suffice...eg The task might be scheduled to run daily. For each object in enabled objects for syncing If - is <10 days and emptyflag=true, then sync according to the sync criteria (The most common use case for these is episode images which are not in place on day 1 but tend to be posted fairly quickly, or episode names which have changed) if - is >30 days then sync according to the sync criteria In this way, the user is handing over responsibility to, MB3 and the providers, for the set of metadata for which they are comfortable. Would anyone else like to see more metadata syncing, What are the types you would definitely want to see or not want to see synced? thanks for considering. Edit..perhaps other physical filesystem objects can also be included like movie.xml or artist.xml...there have been instances when mb3 looses confidence in owning these files..and taking responsibility for their content..personally i would be happy to let mb3 manage...moreover i want mb3 to manage always..even deleting and recreating if neccessary. Edit Another potential use case is ibn person info...i regularly used to find that if i cleared out empty folders and rerun person sync task i would get more data downloaded..imo it would be an improvement if mb3 would maintain itself more automatically in this regard.

Would it be possible to add folders/profiles where the Genre Cleaner can use different genre tags similar to the CoverArt plugin? Example: For western shows I might want Action but for a foreign show it could be acción/действие//行動 etc.. (Random examples) Western TV: Use Default Profile Russian TV: Use Russia Genre Profile Chinese TV: Use Chinese Genre Profile Spanish TV: Use Spanish Genre Profile

Hi All, i know it's a stretch but wondered if any of the developers would consider incorporating domoticz within mediabrowser Domoticz for those who don't know is an opensource home automation software it is extremely versatile in what hardware you can use with it. Reason i say this because just imagine if you could link home automation with your media browser experience?!?! i.e. press play and the lights in room dim low/turn off and blinds shut ready for your mediabrowser experience, you pause to answer a phonecall so the lights turn on or dim higher, or you pause to go make a drink so the lights in the kitchen turned on and plug switches on the kettle (or of course you just go get a beer!! :-D). or you could even put pir in another room so if you left the room it would pause mediabrowser... especially now mediabrowser has control per device the possibilities are endless!! their api is open for 3rd party integration, also software can respond to JSON/url and already has XMBC support (i believe!) personally though mediabrowsers gui just rules and beats domoticz hands down, so if this could be incorporated i'd probably use mediabrowser to control my house even when i'm not watching a movie!! lol (well i wish!) plus this would put MB3 far ahead in the race compared to PLEX!! http://www.domoticz.com/

@@Aphid Can a filter list be added to the anime plug-in that would allow users to manually add the tags they wish to filter out when fetching the metadata? For example, Dragon Ball has some tags/genres that I dont particularly care for such as "Pantsu", "Nudity". I would like to still be able to fetch ALL the genres but at the same time filter out the ones that probably are not necessary to include. The feature could be a text box where the user has to type the tag/genre they wish to filter out. The other method is if the plug-in can fetch the list from anidb somehow then that could work too by allowing the user to move the tags from the ALLOWED box to the REMOVE box. Both methods would work fine but I imagine the first suggestion would be easier to implement. Why not just use the genre cleaner plugin for this? Explained here

Mediabrowser server version 3.0.5424.1 and MB bookshelf plugin 1.0..5198.29005 As of this new server version it seems that the MB Bookshelfplugin doesn't seem to read the file "metadata.opf" which is created by Calibre. Would like to ask the developer of this plugin to fix this.

Hi I am currently running MediaBrowser Server Version 3.0.5390.25829 with Local Trailers Plugin Version 1.0.5389.12439 and having a problem with it. When I try to manually run the plugin to search for new local trailers for my movie collection it only seems to run for 1 sec then says complete. Before I upgraded both server and plugin to latest version if I manually run the plugin I could see the percentage counter moving from 0% to 100% as it was searching through my movies to find local trailers. Now it seems nothing is happening.

I'm disappointed that they pulled the trailer plugin and made it supporter only. I've been running MediaBrowser for years and I go to fire it up today and I find that all of a sudden I can no longer watch trailers. I think it's really disappointing that they just removed a free feature that has been available for years.

@@Redshirt I use both MB3 and Plex media servers, with trakt plugin on both. both work with trakt in their own right, and most of the time if i watch something on one, the other platform is updated. However I have some episodes of various shows, on my trakt profile with status 'watched'/''scrobbled by plex', , which MB3 does not changed to 'watched', even when i manually sync using the mb3 task. Any ideas how a show can be watched on traktt, but MB3 not update itself when a sync task is run.. any ideas how i might troubleshoot. Doesnt seem to be causing a problem but some scrobbled content seems to be scrobbled twice. Playback in Roku and Web Browser, both exhibit issue, regularly enough but not all the time it seems. Dont think its causing an issue

Hi All, I started a topic in the Media Browser Classic forum as I have been having issues with the Trailers not playing, or if they do, really odd behaviour (such as how they were buffering, would play fine once, play them again straight away and there would be stuttering. I think I fixed the stuttering by increasing the Remote MBPS to 30 in the MBC3 config. However, there seems to be a bigger issue and it was suggested I create a topic here, so I am. The issue is that after 4-5 trailers (viewing in a row) and subsequent trailers when viewed (when the PLAY is clicked/selected) produces a black play screen and nothing happens, even leaving it for 1-2 minutes, there is nothing. I opened the log and watched what was happening. When playing a trailer, the log fills up with information, showing it is going to the external website to stream the trailer, etc. When I play a trailer and get a BLACK screen, the log is empty. There are no commands sent to the external website requesting the trailer, there is no information a trailer was select, or any commands issued by MBC3. etc. However, if I close MBC3, then reopen it, and try the trailer again, it works fine, until I play a few more, then it does the same BLACK screen. I have the latest plugin version (don't have that in front of me atm). The MBS and MBC are on the same PC. I don't view anything through the Web Interface from any other device, so I don't know if the trailers work fine that way. I am only interested in them working with the MBC3 plugin in Media Centre (Win7). Any ideas?

Just signed up for the WWE Network and was wondering if there is anyone that can make a plugin for Media Browser server so all my setups can watch and stream directly from inside MB3?

A lot of people have been asking how they can contribute to the theme video collections recently and with the recent host change to mediafire, this has all become a lot easier. There are a few things that are required but the process is now fairly simple! Firstly, make sure the resolution is 720 or above (the preferred format is mp4 but I can probably work with anything), then all you have to do is name the TV or Movie Theme in the following format: TV Shows T - {tvdbid} – {showname}.ext Or Movies M - {tmdbid} – {moviename}.ext Where tvdbid and tmdbid are the ids which can be found on either thetvdb.com for tv shows and themoviedb.org for movies. Examples being: T - 79349 – Dexter.mp4 M - 4147 - Road to Perdition.mp4 Once you have the files named as above, simply head to this link and upload! Theme Uploads! Once the upload completes, I will get an email notification and perform the necessary to get the theme added to the database. All of you that are using the previous method of upload, please keep doing so. The older method is definitely the preferred, this one will hopefully enable an easier way to make the collection even bigger for everyone! :-D Any questions, please post below!

Is there a way to download only the 720p trailer and not 1080p? Seems when I download local trailers it is downloading the 1080p version which is quite large. It adds up when you have hundreds of movies...

Version 1.0.4.0 brings Audio Nomalisation to its users. Simply download and install the latest version and configure your preferred volume from the plugins configuration pages. Note: in order for the normalisation to be performed, the themes need to be downloaded again. Also in 1.0.4.0 Users will also notice a significant increase in speed when downloading the them theme videos. A lot of time has been put into server side optimisations to ensure the plugins can perform as fast as possible.

Hello, I'd like to know if it is possible to set up a Deezer plugin to listen to musique from Media Browser or maybe Spotify ? It would be awesome to be able to control it from MBClassic, theater, or mobile phone, to play musique from the sound system connected to the server. Regards,

I'm running Server Version 3.0.5061.25570 and when I click on the Plugins | Plugin Catalog in the server dashboard I get a yellow message centre screen saying "Internal Server Error". Using Win 7 and Chrome. I have restarted MBS and have rebooted the pc. I have also tried accessing the server dashboard from another pc. There is nothing in the server log at this time stamp.
