Hi, Just installed Kodi on my phone (Samsung Galaxy S6, Android 5.1.1). I enable the downloaded repo (version 1.0.2), Tap "Kodi Emby Addons" and then "Video Add-ons" and "Emby", then when I tap "Install" nothing happens at all. Add-on version is 1.1.60. Any ideas? This should work, right? Hans Petter

I'm trying to install emby on fedora 22 server using the instructions found here. http://emby.media/downloads/linux-server/ When I run either sudo yum install epel-release, or sudo dnf install epel-release I recieve sudo dnf install epel-release Last metadata expiration check performed 0:36:40 ago on Tue Sep 22 20:53:28 2015. No package epel-release available. Error: Unable to find a match. I went as far as to add a different epel repository. That shouldn't be necessary since the epel repository is provided by fedora. I tried continuing the install, It appears to hang up on the ImageMagick version on both yum and dnf sudo dnf install emby-server Last metadata expiration check performed 0:52:24 ago on Tue Sep 22 21:07:01 2015. Hi Folks. I've searched around the forums and can't find anything similar so hoping someone can help or direct me approritaly. I'm installing Enby on a Mac Mini (2014). Install has gone ok and the wizard started as expected. The issue arises at the Configure Settings\metadata page (see page below).When I select "Next", nothing happens. Or rather an icon seem to flash (very quickly) but the Wizard does not progress any further. I have tried a reinstall. No change and Previous setting remain in place. I have also tried using both Safari and Chrome. Still no luck. I did notice that on the installation page that the Configure Settings pagfe come before the "Add Media Libraries", but in my setup is seems to be the other way around. this may be nothing but I'm not sure. I would post them, but I can't find the logs. Anyway hope someone can help. thanks in advance.

Hello, I am new to NAS devices and just setup a QNAP TS-131 at home. I would like to install Emby in order to use the device with my Roku box. From the Emby download instructions, I need to first install Mono 3.1 or 4.0. This is not available as an add-on through the interface of the device. Moreover, the only version of Mono I see ready for use from QNAP is version 2.1 and compiled for x86. My device has an ARM processor. I would appreciate any pointers as to how to proceed. Hello all, Newbie here although a lot of experience with Plex and XBMC/Kodi. I thought I would give emby a try, but when I went to install it on a Windows 10 Pro box, well essentially nothing happened. I see a quick window that says launching application with a newtwork icon that vanishes. I see no running programs, apps or processes that are tagged emby or anything that looks like a media server. Figuring maybe I just needed to hit the webpage to start things I tried that, but all I see is "unable to connect". Tried both IE and Firefox so assume it isn't a browser issue just nothing installed. I have tried running the install as admin and under Windows 7 compatibility with no joy. Any suggestions here? Well, I was cleaning my computer and I removed emby, emby server, media browser and kodi. I went back to the same download and installed it but now it will not allow me to access my server. Also my notification area icon will not work. I right click it and try to access Configure Emby and it wont do anything. I have tried to also log in with my IP. Any suggestions. I'm posting a screen shot of where i go if I log into the forums and click on Web Client. Your help is very appreciated. BG

Hi, So i've tried to install media server on 3 machines WIn7 physical, Win7 VM, and Server 2008r2 VM. I had UAC off and no AV. No matter what browser I attempt to connect to http://localhost:8096/web/wizardstart.html I can not. Chrome: ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED and IE: Just says page unavailable. I've tried to clear the clickOnce cache by running the command, reinstalling from the website, and uninstalling( which it wont) Could be completely unrelated. Error is: MediaBrowser.Uninstaller has stopped working. I tried installing the newest stable release today: 3.0.5675.1 Any help would be great! Mahalo! server-63572631312.txt server-install.log

Hello, After a recent rebuild of my HTPC, I reinstalled and patched the OS to Windows 8.1 w/WMC. All available OS patches were installed as of 4/25/15. When I reinstalled the Emby-WMC app (Version 3.0.262), it installed (apparently) with success, but even after a system reboot, the app will only bring up a blank, blue WMC window. Screenshot attached. I have included the install log, as well as the initial launch log. I have been unable to actually view the Emby interface inside of Media Center. The Emby Server application is running on a separate, network-accessible computer, and the Emby (Android) application is able to connect to it with no configuration needed (launch, and it's there). I included today's launch log as well; taken when I launched the Emby app to grab a screenshot. It's identical to the initial log. Network is configured for LAN-only (I'm not using Connect, or any cloud service access methods), and I haven't installed any antivirus on the HTPC as of yet (I will once I get this hiccup resolved, but no sense adding to the issue until then). Any suggestions would be appreciated. The log files seem to indicate that the application believes it's showing the initial welcome screen ("Hey, here's some new features, and welcome to Emby!"), but as you can see from the screenshot, I'm not seeing what it thinks I'm seeing.. mbc-install.log MBClassic-25420154f4bdd61239149178ff4e180d53c8094.log MBClassic-Msi.log MBClassic-29420152cd1a39a51534e32be564f6b1b98586a.log

Hello, I've only had Emby for a little over 24 hours and I had connected my Win7 desktop to my Roku. When I came home from work this afternoon, I discovered that my server was offline but could not start either the app or the service. I kept recieiving the error message below whenever I tried to open it or uninstall it. The service just failed to start. I rebooted a few times to no avail and then scoured the forums with no success. Finally, I was able to uninstall it with a third party app, Revo Uninstaller, but I continue to recieve the error message when I attempt to install it, the beta version, or the Theater version. Has anyone seen this issue before?

Since I just did a clean install of an Openelec box with XBMB3C I figured I'd write a quick guide for new users interested in testing out XBMB3C and MBS. It's meant to be a no fluff, quick and dirty guide. Maybe I'll come back through and add pretty pictures for the illiterate later, but it's not a priority for me at the moment. Install Openelec and boot into XBMC Download the XBMB3C Repo and upload it to the downloads directory of your Openelec box In XBMC go to Addons, Choose 'Install from ZIP file', browse to the repo zip you just uploaded to your downloads directory, install it Go to Addons, Choose get more add ons, select the XBMB3C repo you installed, go to Video Addons, Choose 'XBMB3C', choose 'Install' Go to Addons, Choose get more add ons, select the XBMB3C repo you installed, go to Skins, Choose a skin you like (I recommend Aeon Nox Gotham), choose 'Install' Go to Programs, then XBMB3C, Press 'C' and choose Addon Settings, enter in your MBS information and tweak the settings how you like or leave most defaults Go to System, Appearance, at the bottom change settings level to 'Advanced' Go to 'Mode' section of Appearance settings, enable Media Browser modes Enjoy.

Hello everyone, I am looking for a little guidance. I recently purchased a Raspberry Pi 2. What I want is to install MB on the Pi, and connect an external hard drive to create a media server that can be accessed by anyone on my network via the MB web interface or smartphone app. The issue that I am having trouble with is installing the server on Pi 2. I started out with Raspbian and tried to install MB using the new debian instructions, thinking that Raspbian is a fork of debian. However, this did not work. I got to thinking, Pi runs on ARM, so I'm (pretty) sure the traditional debian packages wont work? I also tried the manual install instructions, but ran into issues when trying to start the server using the mono command. I have seen people on this forum say that they have MB running on a Pi. My question is what OS and instruction set should I use to get this working? I am thinking of trying Pidora or Arch Linux next, if need be. I really have no preference as to what OS I use, this Pi's sole purpose will be to run a media server. Thanks, Tanner

Hello all, Knowing my luck this is getting posted in the wrong place. I cant find help in any of the threads i looked in and searching didnt prove to be helpful. I am a new user and just downloaded media browser and media center master. From what I read it was recomended to download both. It seemed to not be working so I uninstalled MB and reinstalled it. The server works ok.in so much as I can access it online and add/delete folders. I do not however see it in windows media center. Ive been trying to download MB classic to see if that is what im missing but im told to installe from the program i want it in. i go to windows media center (vista 32) and WMC will freeze up and I need task manager to close it. I am very frustrated with this install. The images and reviews look really cool and i would love to have this to use. Im not very computer savy but i cant imagine an install to be this complicated. its gotta be me. please advise me what to do or what other info you may need. thank you.

Hello, I just downloaded MediaBrowser to give it a try. I had been using Universal Media Server for a while, and switched over to XMBX and Plex Server. From what I've seen and read I think I would like MediaBrowser as I have multiple PS3 systems and Samsung Smart TVs around my house. I am trying to run this on a Windows 8.1 system, which the two main collections of media are on two separate HDDs and drives (D and E). Every movie and TV show is in its own folder, D: for Movies, E: for TV Shows. D:\Super Troopers\Super Troopers.mkv D:\Tron Legacy\Tron Legacy.mp4 etc. E:\Entourage\Entourage - Season 1\Entourage (S01E01) Pilot.mkv E:\True Blood\True Blood - Season 3\True Blood (S03E02) Death.mkv etc. After installing MediaBrowser, the first thing that happened is it popped up a dialog box that stated: "There was an issue launching your web browser. Please check your default browser settings." My default browser is Chrome. If I open the link 'MB Dashboard' manually it brings up the dashboard no problem. Once I'm in the dashboard, I start going through the setup wizard. Once I get to "Setup your media library", I run into an issue where it says: "Access to the path 'D:\System Volume Information' is denied." "Access to the path 'E:\System Volume Information' is denied." It will not let me progress any further. These are obviously system folders. They are restricted, and hidden folders that I do not want to mess with. I am unsure as to why this program is attempting to access them as well. Please let me know what I may need to do to resolve this. bawsly_log.zip

Hi there - I have hit a bit of a snag on the 3.0.117.0 update. The download/install process appears to complete properly. It starts WMC/MB3 Classic, sets the default theme to Chocolate but then notifies of an available update 3.0.117.0 to install yes/no? It continues to do this. I have uninstalled MBC completely, confirmed that the C:\Program Files (x86)\MediaBrowser\MediaBrowser\ folder was deleted by the uninstall process, shut down the server manually, rebooted, started the server, downloaded the latest setup.exe client file, and reinstalled. However, MBC Configurator and MBC report I am still running 3.0.113.0. The short install log C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Roaming\MediaBrowser-InstallLogs\mbc-install.log is below and indicates a successful install: MediaBrowser.Classic.Installer.exe Information: 0 : Installing Media Browser Classic MediaBrowser.Classic.Installer.exe Information: 0 : Attempting to retrieve latest version of MBClassic MediaBrowser.Classic.Installer.exe Information: 0 : Found 1 versions. Simple question. Are there any known issues that would prevent a successful install or update of Media Browser 3 Server via Remote Desktop? I recently had to rollback to version 3.0.5115.35703 via System Restore because for some reason, after updating to the LiveTV release and configuring ffdshow filters, my copy protected TV shows stopped playing in WMC (another topic for another day). But now I'm ready to upgrade to back to 3.0.5135.31685, but I do not want to wait until I get home. I have some downtime during lunch and I want to try this baby out again! I also want to Install and configure ServerWMC LiveTV Plugin while I'm at it. Does anyone forsee any issues performing this over a Remote Desktop connection? Here's my specs: Windows 7 Professional 64-bit AMD Phenom II X2 550 Black Edition 8GB RAM nVidia 9500 GT 512MB Ceton InfiniTV 4 CableCard Tuner (4 tuners) Thanks!

I currently use MB2 at home on a couple of PC's. I want to test MB3 first before replacing what I have, I therefore decided to use Hyper-V at work and try it out first. Only problem is that we have a proxy server that requires authentication. I've managed to download the 2 bits of software that MB3 needs and install them both manually, however it still fails when I run the setup program. Is there any way I can have a stand-alone installer for Client and server? or is there a work-around for proxy locations? An error occurred trying to download 'http://www.mb3admin.com/downloads/beta/server/MediaBrowser.Server.Installer.application'. Hi! I´ve been looking for a solution for quite some time now - not successful at all. So I´m trying to get help by askinghere... I am running my mediabrowser server on a win 7 64bit machine. That one works also as client with wmc - all working perfectly here. On another win 7 64bit machine with wmc all is working well, too. The problem ist my win 8.1 pro 32bit tablet. I know theres an app for win 8.1 tablets / mediabrowser (which works great and I will buy anyway). But I´d like to have it all inside wmc together, too. I got wmc on that tablet up and running for live tv (dvblink) but I am not able to install mediabrowser client into the wmc on that machine. Installation starts (setup.exe) an goes on for uac asking me to confirm the installation. I click ok. A view seconds later I am confronted with a message that the program cannot be started. I should contact the vendor... Theres a logfile created, which I attach here. I tried reinstalling some versions of .net (for the logfile is giving some hint into that direction). No success in any way. Mediabrowser won´t install, message stays the same every time. Does anyone have any idea what I might try now? Any help appreciated! Thanx, Christian 0ZZ32ASE.log

I've installed Server and am going through the initial installation. All my Media is on a GoFlex Home network Shared drive. The login for the drive is the same I used for my profile. When I try to put my media path of \\GOFLEX_HOME\GoFlex Home Public\Movies I get an incorrect login/password message. When I use the mapped drive Seagate Dashboard creates I get missing part of path error. This Seagate drive won't allow me to modify the permissions in Windows, but all I can do through the drive configuration tool/dashboard is create an account.

MBC failed to start up, now after uninstall will not even install

When trying to start up MediaBrowser Classic Configurator I kept getting an error message. Regretfully I did not capture it. What it was doing is launching to an empty form page. I figured I'd try an uninstall/reinstall. Uninstalled from "Uninstall a Program" (Windows 7 Control Panel applet). Went smoothly. Tried downloading latest version, and installing it. System complains with error:
