    Server stuck on indexing

Hi there, i admit to be a new user and i signed up for the premiere monthly package to try emby up again my plex server. I have a large library and maybe this is related to my problem. That said my server has been stuck on indexing at 71.7 percent for two weeks now. I have restarted the app, the server many times but still gets stuck in the same spot. Where I am not familiar with emby i was wondering if perhaps i have something setup wrong. i wanted to attach the logs but when i click to download the lastest log it says its 4.3gb is that possible? Anyways i would be very interested to see it functioning properly. As it stands when i use the player i can see shows in the list no artwork and nothing will play Im assuming its because the server is hung on something. I will happy provide the logs if someone can explain to this newb of emby how to correctly download the logs. emby is running on a osx dedicated server with the latest software and latest production version of emby. Thanks in advance
  2. Hello and thanks in advance for any input/assistance, I'm currently running MBS Version 3.0.5713.1 and MBC 3.0.283.0. My updates are set at the Beta level for MBS. I've noticed recently that when clicking on actors and directors in both MBS and MBC, the full list of movies that they should be indexed against in my library is not fully appearing. For instance, I may click on the actor "Edward Norton" within the movie "Birdman" in MBS + MBC and instead of showing me all of the movies that he is in within my library (~ a dozen, I'd guess), it only shows one or two. This behavior is identical for other actors, directors, etc. and does not appear to exclusively affect any one drive that my content may be on (I have movies on two drives and other content spread across five drives in total). The movies themselves are obviously accessible and playable across the drives, as well, including those which don't appear for Edward Norton and other people. For what it's worth, this appears to be a fairly new phenomenon (i.e., I know the indexing worked fine in the past). I also haven't made any changes to where my ImagesByName folder is located. Given that this occurs on both MBS and MBC, my assumption is that this originates at the server level. I've attached a link for my MBS log here. Once again, thanks for reading and I'll appreciate any guidance.

    MP3s not being indexed

Hi, guys. I’m having some trouble adding music folders to my media library. I’ve added the folders (selecting Music as the media type) to my library, but when I go to the music section on the client, it’s completely empty. I tried removing and re-adding the folders again in an attempt to get MB to try indexing them again, but that didn’t work. I do not organize my music in album and artist folders. I organize solely by genre on the file system, but I keep my ID3 metadata clean and populated. When I go to the metadata editor, I can select a song and have it manually retrieve info using the ID3 tag. That does index the file and allow me to see an artist and the song in the client’s music area. Unfortunately, I do not want to do this for the thousands of songs I have. I didn’t see anything unusual in the log, so I’m not sure what else to do at this point. Not one of my genre folders was able to be indexed. Suggestions? Thank you, Josh
