  1. Hi, I've just done a complete fresh install of Emby server (also switched from Linux to Windows) and I'm having the same problem as before with Live TV images and a new one that has cropped up. Firstly The images being displayed on the home screen and in the Live TV section are wrong. Secondly for the channel logos, white space is being cut off form the images causing the aspect ratio to be different. See screenshots for examples of both problems. I'm running on Windows 10 Pro with DVBLink as my TV backend. Hope someone can help!
  2. Hi, I have just done a complete fresh install using the latest emby server (3.2.27) on Windows 10. Some of the Live TV logos look corrupted (see attached). All the logos are .png format and appear fine when viewing them standalone or in Kodi. The TV backend is DVBLink. Hope someone can help. Thanks!

    Images/Screenshots for Movies?

Hi there, Sincere apologies if this has been addressed elsewhere, and I have not been able to find it! I'm running a very vanilla install of the latest EMBY server on windows. I'm trying to achieve something very simple, I would like to upload custom "film stills" to be displayed underneath the film description. I assume this is possible - I have uploaded "screenshots" and "art" - I also have the "images" field enabled. However, I do not see images being displayed. Images attached. -Thank you for your time, Jonny
  5. Hi guys, I've got an issue with my meta data. I've added a load of new TV shows and it is not pulling the images or making the screen grabs. The last time it happened it was an extension in chrome blocking the images from loading on the External ID's but I've checked them for all the TV shows i'm having issues with and they are all there. Take the screenshot I've attached for example it's done them for a couple but not all of them, some TV shows it's not done any for. Please help, I've also attached the LOG file in case anyone needs it to determine what is going wrong. Log.txt

Actor Images Not Matching up with Imdb

When i try to identify a actor image that does not show on movie, and input imdb id it keeps returning a blank like actor does not exist and it has to be done manually. Its happened multiple time over past couple of weeks. Even tho there is a imdb id for Sienna Nanue when i input to identify with id and name it does not work and image stays blank?
  7. The images for files load perfectly fine, however folder images do not (e.g. Season folders). Is this intended now, as the logs do not show that it's even trying to fetch the images.
  8. Hi! I have been using Emby for around a year now. It's great. Recently I've had issues being able to see images in Collections, and Movies. For example it will show me some movie's images in the beginning of my list within those areas, but then be blank and/or waiting to have the other images show up. I use it on my laptop with Chrome to organize and sometimes watch my videos. I also use it on Firestick, which is ok, and recently Roku which is awesome. I was very pleased with myself the other day when I figured out how to access my files away from my home network. I know big deal, but a miracle for me. I have attached my latest lengthy log and would appreciate any advice. This novice is completely lost. Thank you in advance for your help. Log.txt
  9. Has anyone noticed if thumbs and banners aren't being downloaded automatically anymore in latest stables? Here it just doesn't fetch anymore... only if I go there and download it manually.

    Metadata and Image Location

Since I have started to use the Kodi emby plugin, the movie/ tv folders are no longer storing the images and metadata. Is there a setting to set this up again? I was using MB Classic for WMC before but now I use the Kodi plugin solely. I prefer the images be stored in the individual folders in case I browse files. If I check the metadata manager on the server it shows all of the images and metadata but it's not stored in the actual folders.
  11. Hey there so I figured I'd report this issue or inquire on how to fix it. For probably a couple months now Xbox One when DLNA streaming will no longer show Movie Posters, Season Posters, etc... Just wondering if this is a bug or how it can be fixed thanks!

  13. I am missing the folder images on my EHS for the Podcasts plugin. http://i.imgur.com/KC3VocT.jpg The RSS feed is working fine, and it is pulling down the metadata for episode info and screenshots, but this missing folder image on the EHS is doing my head in. http://i.imgur.com/4xpHri0.jpg Any suggestions on where to place a folder.jpg file or how to edit a config to solve this? Cheers
  14. Running QNAP Version 3.0.6070.0. In episode view randomly some actors have the default actor image (when there is no image available). If I then click on that actor and go to the actor bio screen, it loads up the actor image and bio (if it exists). If I then press the back button in chrome to return to the episode screen, the actor image appears This may be happening in movie view as well, but have not tested
  15. I work on a 27" Thunderbolt display often... and it'd be nice if we could get another breakpoint for .scalableCard.portraitCard posters... something around the 2000px mark for 10% width is what I'm thinking, but it might need to be specific to non-retina displays. So the media query should include -webkit pixel ratios and min-resolution. kinda like this. https://css-tricks.com/snippets/css/retina-display-media-query/ Currently on this screen, poster images are coming out at 311x511px, real life 2.75x4.125" ... they're just monsters. Smaller subset of people, but that group of people will grow as technology gives us larger screens for less $$

    Anime Genre Icons

These are long overdue but they are finally here. I have created 89 109 genre/tag icons for anime to share with the community to use in tandem with the anime server plugin created by @@Aphid Design I used a "japanese brush" font and placed sakura petals flowing over the icon to give it an overall Japan feel. I know it might be cliche but when browsing from Movie -> TV -> Anime views I wanted the user to immediately recognize what view they were on. Anime sets itself apart from other media types (Movies, TV) as it has a genre/tag for practically everything. I meticulously attempted to give each genre an accurate representation whether it is an emotion or scenario by selecting the proper images that might fit such as the example above "Angst". Samples and many more... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eTMeb9IBN4I https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AYFgrQcLwZo Download 109 genres included (background, folder and thumb) Genre List (Updated Nov 02 2014) Anime-Genre-Pack-1 Anime-Genre-Pack-2 Anime-Genre-Pack-3 Anime-Genre-Pack-4 Anime-Genre-Pack-5 NEW! (20 Genres Added - Nov 02 2014) Instructions You will find that the server makes both the Movies and TV shows use the same genre icons. In order to get around that you will need to add a prefix for TV and Anime series genres. Detailed instructions found here and here Additional Info There are still more genres/tags that I did not create. It will depend on the demand and/or requests of this set. 17. Hi @@Luke, please take a look at https://github.com/MediaBrowser/Emby/pull/1793 I guess this will solve an issue I found yesterday about Emby not downloading non-US images with priority , ignoring user preferences of metadata download in languages, for cases where country code has region.
  18. Hi, I'm writing here to try and get some help into an issue, I'm running an Emby server application running in a CentOS linux machine as described in the subject and I'm experiencing an issue with the metadata images since the first day I installed it. I tried playing with the firewall and I was not able to solve the issue. Below you can find a screenshot of the problem followed by the log: As you can see a big part of movies are missing their images. I went to the log file of emby and I found that a lot of exceptions happen when it tries to download the files from the providers, here you can find the log: 2016-05-01 00:00:00.3706 Info App: Metadata location questions

Quick questions, I will file any feature requests or followup with any troubleshooting needs in other posts as needed. 1) From what I've been able to determine, the chapter images and roku images are saved in the cache location, or if enabled and specified, the custom metadata folder location, correct? Are these ever saved with the artwork and .nfo files in the media location if that setting is enabled? 2) Where are the subtitles saved if the subtitle downloader is enabled, cache correct? what is the naming convention on those, are they hashed or folder hashed and the .srt is named the same as the media file?

  21. Today when we search for images, the result from providers are only ordered (AFAIK) by votes. Even when I toggle the search for "All Languages", sometimes I have to look page-by-page to find my country's images. So I have some ideas to resolve this: - Beside "All Languages", create a option to search only for "Metadata language". In my case, I have Portuguese (Brazil) configured for fetching metadata, and would want to filter "pt" images only, if they exist. - When "All Languages" is enabled, put my Metadata Language images (ex: pt) at the top of the results, Tnx.

    Ebook metadata fetcher?

So I wish I had the time or pre-existing skills to write a plugin here. I know several languages, but alas... nobody wants my life story. My hope is that someone already involved in plugin development or development in the main server will be inspired by this idea. If Ebooks can be "identified" through Emby with their ISBN, I can logically see a plugin/feature of Emby that would take the following information, generate the appropriate URL, parse the URL for a specific div, and copy the contents of that div into various metadata fields. For instance... The Book Thief by Markus Zusak... BOOK OVERVIEW (see attached screenshot) http://www.barnesandnoble.com/w/book-thief-markus-zusak?ean=9780375842207 URL format: "http://www.barnesandnoble.com/w/" + full-title + author-first-last + "?ean=" + isbn13 Inside this page, copy contents of div.overview-desc, stripping out the h2 tags and their contents note: isbn13 from above is stripped of hyphens BOOK COVER IMAGE http://prodimage.images-bn.com/pimages/9780375842207.jpg simple url format: "http://prodimage.images-bn.com/pimages/" + isbn-13 + ".jpg" note: isbn13 from above is stripped of hyphens ------------------------------------ Of course, this may need to be built into Emby Server in order to integrate the "identify" feature as seen in movies, television, etc. But the ISBN could always be manually input into the "website" part of the metadata, or the "comic vine volume id" since these ebooks aren't going to be in their database. This process can be duplicated for other information as well... Star ratings (see attached screenshot), reviews, and most other sites. As long as those sites are database driven, we can find that pattern. I'd love to help, but time is in short supply.
  23. Hello all, Not sure this is the correct forum to post this in but I have a question about the Emby Web. I have set folder images and they are displaying for me, but when I login as a different user, the images are not being displayed. Added attachments, first is my view (with images) and second is another account. What could be the problem?
  24. On my setup, the aspect ratio of album covers in the Home view of the Web Interface is not correct, it is 16:10 I guess, while it should be squared, since it shows album covers. I'm on 3.0.5786.0. Can anybody confirm this bug?
  25. Hello, I have been using emby for quite a while now, and again, a really annoying bug occured. I just realized, that somewhere on the road my emby server started to store ALL png-files that are metadata files with the wrong filename. For example, cdart.png is cdart..png. Therefore, the skin I use never finds those images. Same goes for logo.png. I have 3.0.5818.0 on Ubuntun 15.10. Seriously, such a bug in a "stable" release? Are you kidding me? All over the community, people are more and more complaining about the emby server being buggy. You should definitely consider doing something about your release cycles and try to get some improvement of the quality of your releases instead of starting to charge people for services. Just my 2 cents.
