I used to use smart playlists in Kodi, but switching over to the Emby database broke that functionality. I make a smart playlist item called Kids movies, with rules that say only list movies with a G or PG rating. When clicking on the playlist, nothing is listed with the Emby database. Is it possible to add this functionality?

This is an important feature request, We should have the ability to manual identify all items in metadata manger. as of know the shows that are know and are identified show an icon that says identity but shows that are not auto identified does not show that icon which it should. We need the icon there so we can enter the shows or movies id's to be identify i think that it is a very important request. it is very important to the future usability to this application to probably sort and display correct data. +1

In the player, I couldn't find a way to back out of the player with a mouse only. I know I can hit the escape key or the back button on a MCE remote. I would expect to see a back arrow in the upper right, but all I see is the show banner graphic. Thanks!

I've been using the AndroidTV app lately and I'm almost ready to replace kodi as my main consumer of emby media. Here's some suggestion to improve it further. 1. Seeking a) Add a transcode progress indicator. Allow the seek cursor to move freely at all times (even if the video is "loading") a) is for when I want to go back and forth in some videos, if I seek too much ahead it resets the transcoding and then going back resets it again causing multiple waits. If I know not to seek ahead too far I can just wait a bit since transcoding is fast enough and keep the "buffer data". As for , you just need to look at the youtube androidtv app, seeking back and forth is smooth, you can even hold the fast forward button and it moves across the seek bar smoothly. 2. Properly reset card images/data I'm talking about the image cards that display episode thumbnails for example. When you scroll through them very fast, because the card objects are being reused, they still display the old data until the app fetches new data. This is often distracting and just a peeve of mine 3. Pre-transcode tv series episodes This is more of a server thing but might just as well put it here. It would be cool if the server could pre-transcode episodes for certain devices. You would pick the devices and users and the server would pre-transcode all the episodes of the "next-up" list and use that pre-transcoded data for playback on the devices. Oh and probably add a # of episodes ahead to add, so we can set it to 2 for example and the server would be transcoding the next episode while we watch the current one. edit: I posted early by mistake, let me finish writing up edit2: all done

A filter option to display HD channels only in Live TV would be preferable to having to manually add as favorites. Thanks for all the hard work, you devs!

I just installed it and I am very pleased with it. With Movies, would access to the Specials folder be provided by the Skin or the XBMB3C Plugin?

I was wondering if it would be possible to add an entry point or category in the metadata editor for "Movie Set" or "Set" or something like that for the purpose of organizing movie collections into movie sets for Kodi. It would be useless for MB clients, and I don't want it if it caused any sort of issues with MB, but it's handy for telling Kodi to group movies into sets. I know Metabrowser had an entry point like this. That way, say for instance with the Bourne Collection, you could just type in Bourne Collection in the Set entry point in each of the Bourne movies, and Kodi would group them together. Ideally Kodi would recognize MB collections (and artwork selected etc..) but this would still help. edit: Thanks for moving this to feature request, EBR.

Hi, I would realy like to see a next button on the details page of TV episodes. This buttoin is available in MBS webbrowser, but not in MBT. When watching a TV series it would be nice when an episode has played to directly go to the next episode whithout having to go back to the seasons page. To be honest II am surprised no one has asked for this yet (unless Imissed it of course). Thanks in advance.

People Views also exhibit this problematic symptom..eg abby eliott The two source entities which created these two objects are 'Abby Elliot' and 'Abby Elliott'... in this case the 2nd 'incorrect' person object 'Abby Elliot' came from a gueststars tag on a series.xml.... Unfortunately it is impossible to use MBS to find the offending tag/source object and correct... because 1. The person/artist object is shown as matched rather than as is...so searching for the incorrect value outside MBS is obfuscated..(although looking at the IBN entry/path can help) 2. clicking on both person objects in UI shows content for the same matched person on the fetcher...NOT...the content which precipitated the object. Clicking one of the objects..the object for 'Abby Elliott' should show 3 episodes of HIMYM where the actor is defined...and it does... Clicking on the other object ..the object for 'Abby Elliot' (also shown as 'Abby Elliott') should show 1 Series of HIMYM where the actor is defined. but it doesnt... its shows the previous / same as above... The feature request is.... to name the Artist/Person objects in their respective views, as is not as matched... to not hide the content from the user which precipitated the object in the view..eg (the tags on) the tracks which precipitated the artist or e.g. the TVDB actor metadata which precipitated the person. or better yet...in this example There should be two person objects, one Abby Elliot - Identified and Matched (because it does) - showing content for 'Abby Elliott' and the other Abby Elliot - Not identified or Matched (because it doesn't) - Show content for 'Abby Elliot' Then when the duplicate/incorrect entry is identified...it would be obvious why..and the correction simple... thanks for considering..

I noticed today that much of my movie metadata was very out of date with TMDB. It was as if MB had synced once on initial library ingestion, but then never synced again. Hitting the refresh button ensured that those films which had no community rating or parental guidance value or overview, now did so, (presumably this metadata had been completed on the master providers after initial library ingestion) Personally I would like all metadata synced with the providors* except folder.jpgs and backdrop.jpgs (unless mine are currently blank). I would like to designate those aspects that i dont want to hand over responsibility to the online providors to change (ie dont sync). but i would like everything else to match the providors, album overviews, artist overview, all movie metadata, all tv metadata, everything. MB3 already instances the concept of "metadata the user does not want overwritten". so users can protect metadata they do not wish to be overwritten. Could MB3 implement an ongoing sync option, with a set of stated exceptions - (Sync Criteria) Users would have to positive choose to sync and only if their set of required exceptions were currently supported. If the user's case for required exceptions was not currently supported, then the user wouldnt enable sync and "no harm no foul". (but they might add a feature request)..ie to keep the option safe. Perhaps there could be a set of object types enabled/disabled for syncing (Episode, Season, Series, Movie, Collection, Album Artist etc) there could be a full set of metadata types in the ui.or more simply in the first instance just Primary Images, Backdrops, All other metadata For each metadata type for each object type there could be synchronise criteria = Never Syncronise, Only if Im blank, Always, Always except if provider is blank [don't overwrite metadata i have added locally but is not populated on the provider), Respect current granular setting For each object of object type (Episode, Season, Series, Movie, Collection, Album Artist etc) MB could instance a 'Last Synced' timestamp in the database along with an "empty" event flag (data was empty eg. no backdrop, no episode image). MB could stipulate a schedule for re-syncing per object type, or allow the user to stipulate a schedule. But a mandated schedule in first instance would probably suffice...eg The task might be scheduled to run daily. For each object in enabled objects for syncing If - is <10 days and emptyflag=true, then sync according to the sync criteria (The most common use case for these is episode images which are not in place on day 1 but tend to be posted fairly quickly, or episode names which have changed) if - is >30 days then sync according to the sync criteria In this way, the user is handing over responsibility to, MB3 and the providers, for the set of metadata for which they are comfortable. Would anyone else like to see more metadata syncing, What are the types you would definitely want to see or not want to see synced? thanks for considering. Edit..perhaps other physical filesystem objects can also be included like movie.xml or artist.xml...there have been instances when mb3 looses confidence in owning these files..and taking responsibility for their content..personally i would be happy to let mb3 manage...moreover i want mb3 to manage always..even deleting and recreating if neccessary. Edit Another potential use case is ibn person info...i regularly used to find that if i cleared out empty folders and rerun person sync task i would get more data downloaded..imo it would be an improvement if mb3 would maintain itself more automatically in this regard.

So here is my issue. I have had the same folder structure for years on my tv series. A couple weeks ago I would assume after the most recent server update. My series seasons were all in one folder and not split by season. My folder structure is set up to have several different types of tv series split, (IE. Current Series, Ended Series, Web Series, etc) My folder structure was Series/Ended Series/Show/Season/Show S01E01. This worked awesome keeping a submenu of my series types within my series folder. Now this has created an issue. Can we bring this ability back? I really don't want to have to scroll through 150 different shows to find what I want when I knew where everything was in the submenu.

Firstly this software is awesome, proud supporter and promoter... It would be great if the windows 8.1 app had the same streaming profile as the web interface specifically the 480p, 720kbps. This correlates perfectly with the upload limit of many houses broadband here in Australia (ADSL 2+, up to 850 kbps upload) and would allow me to stream while out of home without resorting to the web interface. I also can't wait for live tv in the win8 app which I assume is coming when time permits.

Is there anyway of scraping metadata from http://www.bbfc.co.uk/, as IMDB and TMDB have quite poor parental rating support for UK ratings (irritating oversight as IMDB was started by a Brit)? I can use reports and then manually search for titles with missing ratings but thats painstaking when you have 500 plus titles with missing ratings.

Hi Roku Devs, Might it be possible to [have an option to] increase the length of recently added for TV. Sometimes i dont get to watch anything until the weekends when there are perhaps 20 additions added. So i current limit (12?) is overly restrictive for me. Maybe i am not the only one. Thank you for considering.

We should have the ability to remove Exit, Restart and Shutdown from non-admin profiles within media browser. If you want the system to behave like a home theater PC you probably don't want kids and others shutting down or restarting the machine. Exiting the application to the desktop can also cause problems in a controlled environment.

Hiya I really like the understated style of subdued theme and find it more WAG friendly than other themes. I now use it on all 4 of the HTPCs in the house. I do have one feature I miss compared to the theme I used to use back in the days of MB2 - having the director listed (and linked) in the overview - in the same way genre's are (and actors are in the cast view). Is there any way this could be added, either to the overview page (ideally) or under it's own heading at the top of the cast page? Cheers

I like using gamebrowser with media browswer theater, one thing I miss though after leaving xbmc is 360 controller support. When browsing games i am switching back between remote, and then controller. I labeled this as a feature request unless their is some way a 360 controller can navigate media browser theater, but if not im sure alot of people would appreciate being able to control media browser theater out of the box with a 360 controller like xbmc can.

How about an option to store, and look for, chapter images in media folders? In a subfolder, for each media item, named "chapterimages". It seems odd that other metadata images can be stored in the media folders, but chapter images cannot. I think it would be useful for a couple reasons. One is that I do not need to extract chapter images again if I totally uninstall MBS (clearing all its settings and DBs) and reinstall it. Another is that the chapter images could eventually be used by other programs as well, once they are adapted to the new format for storing chapter images that MBS would define.

So my favourite theme at the moment is ROC and I find it incredibly easy to use and navigate. However, the one area where its not so easy appears to be trailer execution. At the moment the user is required to navigate to the trailer tab and then sees (in my case) the trailer.mp4 file. This just doesn't to be as clean as the rest of the theme. Therefore, my request would be to add an icon next to the play, back and next icons which would play the trailer or say the first trailer/bring up a list if there are more than one. This could then allow for the trailer tab to be removed making it that much easier to navigate. Thanks

This is admittedly a small couple of requests but I'd like to see them. This deals specifically with how MBT handles user profiles currently: 1) It'd be nice if you can set an automatic default profile login (including with password) so that you don't have to log in manually every time. 2) Make it so that the user profile login page allows you to scroll through the profiles. Currently I have multiple profiles set up for my family and only the first 6 will show on my screen and if I scroll past them to the remaining 2 that I have, I can see the names associated with them but not their images.

Hi, I realize that MBT was just released, and is still in Alpha, but I've noticed a couple things that aren't on the "to-do" list yet, and were small (but handy) features in MBC. I haven't had much of a chance to play with MBT yet, but these are some things I've noticed so far, and will update this thread as I notice more: Keyboard Search- Unless I've just missed this somehow (maybe there's a different way of doing things in MBT) There seems to be no keyboard search feature implemented yet, I find this feature extremely important, since browsing a large collection takes a very long time without a keyboard search feature. Fast-Scrolling through collections- Another feature that I use every time I'm using MBC is (for lack of a better name) Fast-Scrolling. I use the Skip Forward/Skip Backward buttons on my remote to scroll through my media more quickly, instead of using the arrows to move through my collections one-by-one, I often use the Skip buttons to move through a few titles at a time, greatly speeding up the time it takes to browse my collections. More View-Options- I'd find it nice to have a few more view options in certain areas. For example: I'd like to be able to switch to list view when entering a TV Series that only contains one season, instead of the thumb-strip view it defaults to. Having the choice to pick any of the view options, no matter what part of a collection you are looking at would be a nice addition to MBT in my opinion. Back to logon screen- It would also be nice to be able to use the back button at the main screen to take you back to the logon screen to switch users. Having a "Are you sure you want to sign out?" Prompt would be a nice touch as well. Pressing "Up" on the remote to get to settings, etc...- Fairly self-explanatory, I know you can press "Up" on the remote/keyboard to access the settings buttons, etc. But right now it depends on which part of the screen is currently in-focus, ie. you need to be far enough to the right before you are able to go up to the very top where these buttons are located. Being able to get to these buttons whether you are currently on the left, center, or right side of the screen would make things quicker, and easier. Upcoming TV- Not really a feature request, more of a question. I'm not too sure about the Upcoming TV section. I'd assume it would show me upcoming episodes of series' I have in my collection, but it seems to show a random selection of TV Series in my collection, some with new episodes, some that are ended. Selection going out of focus- One issue I've found, which isn't a big deal, since the client is still in Alpha, and there's obviously going to be some small issues still, is: Sometimes my current on-screen selection; whether it's a tile, or a media selection, goes out of focus, and I'm no longer able to use my remote, until I move the mouse cursor over a tile or something, to re-select a tile. Then I'm able to continue using my remote like usual. Obviously, being in the early stages of MBT there's still going to be lots of room for improvement, and it's coming along great so far. I don't expect a ton of feature requests to be implemented right away, I just figured I'd throw some ideas out there for a few things I noticed would make the experience better! Example; Star Wars, 6 Movies plus 2 deleted scenes video files in a Specials folder under the Boxset folder. Tried a few different ways to display this correctly but nothing works just right so hoping others may feel a need for MB3 to support this.
