  1. Hey, here is my feature request. Wouldnt it be nice to share a complete folder of photos to your family with emby? Currently its just possible to share one photo. Anyone interested in this feature? let us know here and give us a +1 Here is the github issue: https://github.com/MediaBrowser/Emby/issues/2607 thx pOpY
  2. Hi ebr, I have noticed with the latest version ov CoverArt, that server paths do not appear to be working for profiles, I have to specify local paths. I think it would be a better idea if CoverArt is updated to bring it inline with the server... specify a local path as default, then have an optional server path when adding treatment profiles
  3. I was hoping someone would make MBT remember which monitor it was open in before. My TV is actually a second monitor across the room, and I have to move MBT from one monitor to the other and then maximize it (if I move it maximized, it starts playing the video on my primary monitor). Thanks...
  4. Is this possible? I really like the Home Video type of library for content that isn't well-suited to being found in online databases. So long as the library is organized by folders, and the filenames are descriptive Emby presents the media in a useful way. Not every type of media is suited to the metadata, classified and renamed from online data presentation. The obvious next step, when one notices some organization/renaming is needed is to edit the name right in Emby Theater (or Android phone, or iOS). It is possible to edit the name, but not the filename from which the name is derived (I'm assuming Emby server creates a name from the filename, which must get stored somewhere as metadata). Really, for this type of media I don't want to get into the metadata thing at all. I would like to just use the filename and editing it from within Emby would be so useful. Editing filenames from within Movies or TV libraries would be pretty cool also, but Home Video is the obvious use case. Keep up the good work, thank you.
  5. The Trailers Plugin is pretty nifty. However, I wish that I could prevent Trailers from being displayed in the "More Like This" section of Emby Theater (Windows Desktop). I prefer to just keep all the Trailers in the Trailers section. Thanks for considering my request!
  6. Since External Players may vary in their ability to resume certain forms of media (eg, full DVD VIDEO_TS folder rips) it could be nifty if one could enable (on a per-external-player basis) to be prompted by ET for the Stop Time, so that when coming back to the item later there's a record of approximately where you stopped watching. I'm thinking it could go something like this.... "Would you like to enter your stop-time for easier resuming later?" There'd of course be a Cancel/No button, but pressing Back on one's remote (whatever that hotkey is in ET) should just exit out of the dialog. We could potentially use something like this for the incrementing/decrementing time interface: http://www.jqueryscript.net/time-clock/Simple-Time-Input-Spinner-Plugin-With-jQuery-TimingField.html And it might not be a bad idea to have a simple select between whether this was the "Main Feature" or not (this really only applies for things like VIDEO_TS rips, where there are multiple videos in DVD structure). But I'd be happy just having the prompt even without that additional clarification. Thanks for considering my idea!
  7. As the title states, the ability to set a custom maximum bitrate would be helpful for those looking to make the most out of a weak internet connection when streaming from a remote server. As it stands there are a few gaps in the available bitrate options that force the user to select the lower option. Rather than adding more app defined bitrates the option to input a custom bitrate would be helpful.
  8. first let me say that emby is an incredible piece of software and I'm so thankful for the day I found it. thank everyone who has contirbuted in bringing it to what it is today. I've been using emby for many years now and have compiled terabytes of videos. as you can imagine, this many videos sometimes needs some maintenance, adjustments, and occationally deletions. here is an example of one specific task that I would love to see implemented ... most of the users, associated with this emby system, use a roku3, android phone, and linux computers (in that order of priority). it would be amazing for them to be able to rate a video after watching it. from zero to five or ten (would perfer ten). like an in house rating. then later, when I'm making system wide adjustments, pull a report (on the report page) of all videos rated 0, by all (or more than two) users, with an option to select individually or all videos to be deleted (or any other task needed). it would be nice to be able to select, adjust, and/or delete on the same report page. this example makes it so that I can remove videos that nobody likes and no longer wants to watch again. zero seem to be the right fit for deletion this page would give the final say on whether the selected (0 rated) video would stay or be deleted. hopefully this example gives you an idea of the maintenance task being requested. their may be others who are looking and/or desire a way to manage this type of task within emby as well. thank you for your time.

    TV Series Shortcut

Is there a way to have the main menu screen for TV show suggest the next episode of a series your in the middle of, or make a shortcut to the season your on right from the menu? I find it kind of tedious to have to dig though all of the TV content to find the next episode to watch. It would be really cool to just have Emby remember what episode was watched last suggest the next episode, or provide a quick link of the season of the series. Just to be clear this isn't when I am "binge" watching a TV series obviously I can just click the next arrow to go to the next episode. This is when I stop watching tv for the night and I want to continue where I left off the next night. Also since I am going to topic of menu, is there a way to make a time limit on how long shows appear in the continue watch or Resume category? I am all for this category when I gotten interrupted during a show or just want to switch from upstairs TV to downstairs TV, but if I haven't continued watching the show within a week or two I am probably not going to watch it or need to start from the beginning anyways because I don't remember what is going on. As far as I can tell there is no way of removing the show from the list unless skip to the end. Many shows end up this way when I want to find a specific part of a show, and I end up searching through a few episodes.
  10. Feature Request - EMBY Server- Reports - ability to sort by Video/Audio/Genre/Resolution Columns Currently you cannot sort the reports in Emby Server by Video, Audio, Resolution or Genre. Please add this feature.
  11. Hi Emby team, I would like to request that Emby Theatre for Xbox One be made snappable, so tv can be watched while playing games.
  12. Hi Emby team, I would like to request that Kinect and Cortana voice commands be added to Emby Theatre for Xbox One and Windows 10 (UWP).
  13. I would love to be able to see if subtitles are available. Currently, it seems the only way is to start the video, and see if there are subtitles. In the web UI, it shows subtitles under "Media Info". But for people who rely on subtitles for everything they watch, it's quite a hurdle not being able to see if a video has subtitles or not. Maybe it could show as a tag like these: But maybe a different background color to indicate sub, and then the text being language of the subtitles? Or anyways, I'll let the UI designing be up to you, but I'd really like to have the information available.
  14. I would like to submit a feature request for Emby with NextPVR as the live TV add-on. NextPVR has a conflict resolution feature where any program that has a scheduling conflict is stored with the option to resolve the conflict by choosing which program to record, similar to windows media centers conflict resolution options. This would be a very useful feature to access remotely from Emby.
  15. Hello, I've reached emby because in ubuntu touch plex doesn't work because of the HLS not working on Oxide(chromium). I'm testing emby in UT and it works from the browser. I'm wondering if there is a plan to make an official app. Regards.
  16. All, As I'm one of these users that has a lot of movies (5k) and series (35k ep) published through Emby server, I was wondering is there is a possibility to get a server version that uses MS-SQL or MySQL as backend. Next to the fact that I'd be able to use multiple servers for tasks, this, for me, would have so many more advantages, I couldn't even list these all. Name it an enterprise version or something. I'd definitely be willing to pay extra for it Cheers, Rob
  17. Would it be possible to sort reports by audio or video codec, etc
  18. Greetings, I have a feature request. Is it possible to add an option to set audio delays based on the display refresh rate (24 Hz, 60 Hz, etc.)? I have audio sync issues with 24 Hz playback. I am certain this is due to the processing added by my Samsung LED in this mode. The delay is a constant 125 ms across all program material. Plex Media Player is purported to offer this feature: "Allows for different audio delay depending on video framerate (23.976 Hz vs. the rest)" Link (bullet #9) Kodi also offers support for audio delays based on display refresh rate via its advanced settings: "Override latency for given display (not video) refresh rates. When Kodi is in windowed mode, override is ignored. Multiple overrides are allowed." Link (annotated description of this feature) Link (advancedsettings.xml - latency) There is an entire thread dedicated to 24p audio sync issues in the Kodi forums: 24p and audio sync issues Thanks for your time!

    Request: Set Shuffle Limit

So here is my usecase: 1) When I go to bed at night, I like to shuffle though TV shows I have through my FireTV Stick. 2) So I go to the TV show, select shuffle, put my tv on a sleep timer. The issue is, because my FireTV Stick doesn't turn off when my TV does, it will continue to fetch and play videos until I physically stop it myself. This causes my Emby Media server to endure unneeded processing and will ultimately cause my HDDs to fail at a much faster rate, since they are use non stop. I'd like to see a way in the system.xml file to set the maximum shuffle time or shuffle count before requesting if the user is still watching. Netflix implements this feature nicely and I think it will save emby users from having to replace their hardware as much. Perhaps every time a client requests content from the server, it can pass the server information about idle time, and if the idle time surpass what the server is set for, it can show a dialog on the client requesting to see if the user is still watching and would like to continue.
  20. I'm finding it very irritating when I want to skip chapters. If I have just resumed, or just ffwd/rwd, I have to wait until the osd fades away to press the right/left arrow. I very much appreciate the ability to now use CTRL+SHIFT+f and CTRL+SHIFT+b for ffwd and rwd, is there any way we can add maybe "f" and "b" as standard chapter skip buttons? Or some other combination of buttons?
  21. It seems that the movie title is being used when searching for subtitles inside Kodi (so when using Kodi's subtitle plugin) while using the Emby plugin. However, I find I get better subtitle matches when using the actual filename instead. A workaround is using local paths instead of the plugin redirect but this is not so easy for remote Emby servers (outside of the local network). I tried to use path substitutions by using a FTP server, and while this works Kodi doesn't always stream video's that well over FTP (resuming after a little pause sometimes causes Kodi to hang). Example of a working FTP path substitution: D:\Movies\ ftp://Username:Password@host.com:21/Movies/ However because FTP wasn't working that well with Kodi I changed to HTTPS by using Apache server and using password protected directory listings (this already is my preferred method of streaming over the internet, even before I found out about Emby). So I figured if path substitutions work with FTP they should work with HTTPS as well, so I entered: D:\Movies\ https://test:test@host.com:443/media/Movies/ However over https I think this doesn't work because of URI formatting (spaces need to be escaped to %20), the Kodi log shows this: 15:49:01 T:7272 ERROR: CCurlFile::Open failed with code 404 for https://USERNAME:PASSWORD@host.com/media/Movies/Ant-Man (2015)/Ant-Man.2015.1080p.BluRay.x264-SPARKS.mkv 15:49:01 T:7272 ERROR: XFILE::CFileCache::Open - failed to open source <https://USERNAME:PASSWORD@host.com/media/Movies/Ant-Man (2015)/Ant-Man.2015.1080p.BluRay.x264-SPARKS.mkv> 15:49:01 T:7272 ERROR: CDVDPlayer::OpenInputStream - error opening [https://test:test@host.com/media/Movies/Ant-Man (2015)/Ant-Man.2015.1080p.BluRay.x264-SPARKS.mkv] 15:49:01 T:7272 NOTICE: CDVDPlayer::OnExit() 15:49:01 T:1316 ERROR: Playlist Player: skipping unplayable item: 0, path [https://USERNAME:PASSWORD@host.com/media/Movies/Ant-Man (2015)/Ant-Man.2015.1080p.BluRay.x264-SPARKS.mkv] I believe this way I tried all the alternative setups in which I use Emby ánd have Kodi use the filename to search subtitles. However none of them are really an ideal situation. TL;DR Of course I tried all of this in the first place because I simply want Kodi to use the filename when searching for subtitles. In fact I would prefer to keep settings and setup as simple as possible by using the default plugin redirect so keep al Emby features and let Emby handle the remote streaming process over HTTP(S). So I would like to request this as a feature for Emby for Kodi: pass along the actual video filename to the Kodi subtitle searcher (instead of the movie / series name) to get better matching subtitles. Thanks for reading .

    Feature requests

Here is my list of feature requests. - Not ignore articles("The" White Stripes) - Show a list of every album, TV show, Movie ect... in one page instead of having multiple pages (I understand this may be difficult to do on a phone) - Have a details view as an option for every interface possible. Personally, I want to see as much info on one page as possible so I use details for every view. Showing artwork is secondary to me. - When I select an artist > then click all albums > then click on more > the next page should be sorted by albums and not by song title. - If I click on the play button on a song art box, it should play right away and not ask me to play, add to a queue, add to playlist ect... There should be a seperate graphic, aside from the play button, to add to a queue, add to playlist ect... like Google play. - Autoplay the next song, movie, TV show after the one you selected has played. - The interfaces in general (on the PC and Android) I feel are a little slow but I don't have the premium membership to cache my data on my phone. - The menu's at the top of the Music main menu, TV main menu, Movies main menu ect... should be adjustable so I can have Album Artists pop up right when I click on my Music icon instead of Suggestions on the Home page. And so I can have my Movie list pop up right when I click on my Movies icon instead of Suggestions on the Home page. - In general, I just would like to be able to customize the view/interface in Emby in general a lot more. Set default view types for a given screen. Thank you!
  23. Could we please see an option to auto-organize television based on cross-referencing the episode's title if present in the filename instead of relying solely on the season/episode number? I can't tell you how many times I some of my toddler's television shows get mixed up in the season/episode information. Right now, I'm handling those manually, sorting them through a folder that's not being watched by Emby's auto-organize feature. I've seen another feature request for the option to add multiple watch folders to the auto-organize tool... this would be a perfect merger with that feature. A secondary watch folder could be designated as the "watch by episode title" folder instead of season/episode. If not functioning that way, a check box to enable/disable the capability would let Emby organize based on episode title if present. If filename does not have title present, then season/episode # information will be the fall back for organization.
  24. Hello, All the updates and changes to Emby have been great, and Emby keeps getting more and more stable by the day. The one feature that I still am hoping we can get added is to set the default channel limit for the EPG by user profile or even a global default within the server. By the time I setup my HDhomeruns "favorite channels" to remove DRM and all non-HD channels I have about 75 remaining. I would like to not have to reselect 100 limit every time I open the web client or my AndroidTV. This would help immensely when trying to use Emby with a remote control. Thanks Emby team for all you do! ~armyb77 p.s. Of course the pipe-dream feature is DRM support within emby so I can get rid of my WMC finally...lol Silicondust is working on a solution, but it doesn't seem like Emby is part of their plan as of now.
  25. I have a very large library of content. I also know other people that have similarly large amounts of content that also use Emby. I think it would be really cool if there was some way to link together our libraries. Basically you would enter two Emby accounts in (one for your local server, and one for the remote server), and content from both libraries would be shown (duplicates would not show up, just one copy of each item) simultaneously. When you click on an item, Emby would determine if you have the item locally, or if it needs to play it from the remote server. This would be one way to vastly increase your library size while promoting community sharing.
