Hiya, I work with ScottL, and am a big Emby fan. Love it!!! I got the latest Emby Win 8.1 update the other day, but today my wife and kids have been reporting that the app has been crashing a lot. I've attached for the logs for you, and from what I can see there's a null reference issue with GetMenuChoices that's causing a FATAL exception. So I have never used a program like this before but basically I just want to be able to stream my tv shows and movies from my desktop in the basment to my laptop upstairs. I have the server on my desktop and Emby theater on my laptop. The server says it's running and when I try to select the server on my laptop I get "There was an error processing the request". Any suggestions?

Hello, After a recent rebuild of my HTPC, I reinstalled and patched the OS to Windows 8.1 w/WMC. All available OS patches were installed as of 4/25/15. When I reinstalled the Emby-WMC app (Version 3.0.262), it installed (apparently) with success, but even after a system reboot, the app will only bring up a blank, blue WMC window. Screenshot attached. I have included the install log, as well as the initial launch log. I have been unable to actually view the Emby interface inside of Media Center. The Emby Server application is running on a separate, network-accessible computer, and the Emby (Android) application is able to connect to it with no configuration needed (launch, and it's there). I included today's launch log as well; taken when I launched the Emby app to grab a screenshot. It's identical to the initial log. Network is configured for LAN-only (I'm not using Connect, or any cloud service access methods), and I haven't installed any antivirus on the HTPC as of yet (I will once I get this hiccup resolved, but no sense adding to the issue until then). Any suggestions would be appreciated. I keep on having to login mostly after refreshing the page and or going back. Sometimes I need to re-login multiple times a minute (Not like I'm away for an hour). Emby threw out an error: Cannot handle exception "Job". Shortly after, all video playback stopped. I'm using the most recent beta. To fix this issue: Do NOT reset the server. Go to task manager and kill the task "ffmpeg.exe". After that, restart the server. Not killing the transcoding will disable all access to the web interface, via emby app or localhost.

Hi guys, update my installation of emby from the old repo to the new one and something went terribly wrong. In the end i ended up wiping my distro and installing debian 7.0 from fresh. I have installed emby using the instructions at this link http://emby.media/downloads/linux-server/ Installation appeared to go ok. The first thing i noticed is straight after installation is the command 'service emby start' from the link above doesn't seem to work. i have managed to get emby to start by entering the /opt/emby directory and running the following command. After having a ton of issues with delays and time-outs, I decided to do a complete re-install of Emby-Server and Classic-WMC. I am using the recommended file structure, Chocolate Theme with all options turned off. I am getting a bunch of "Failed to download image" errors in MB-Classic. I have attached the log-file. I am trying to install Emby Theater on a brand new Asus VivoPC VM40B with Windows 8.1. It downloads the Setup file and then while downloading the application, it stops and gives an error message saying: Error Downloading Package System.Net.WebException An exception occurred during a WebClient request. I have the Google Drive plug-in installed and configured according to the Wiki and the threads on the forum. I have managed to get some music files transferred to my Google Drive (after emby converted the flac files to mp3). So everything was running fine. So, I thought, "Cool, let me do some more." So I selected a bunch of my fav Wierd Al tunes for syncing. emby converted everything to MP3 but when it came to transferring the files I get errors (log attached). Also the following shows up in the notification tab of my emby server. Am I doing something wrong or is Wierd Al to blame? GoogleDriverError-EFCzbPFU.txt

on several setting configuration pages (playon plugin config page, users profile config page. I'm a new Media Browser user, and I seem to have successfully installed the server (v3.0.5482.1) on my Mac Pro running OS X 10.10.1. The installation itself seems fine, but when I use Web Connect to connect to the server remotely, be it through one of our Rokus (using the PIN to connect) or through the web interface, I'm presented not with my server but someone else's -- and it's random whose I see. Sometimes it's a local address that, of course, I can't connect to, but sometimes it's a server accessible from the Internet and I've actually been able to access the other users' content (not that I wanted to -- I was just curious how far it would let me go, and I'll tell ya, there's some weird stuff out there). If I login via the web browser and then refresh the http://app.mediabrowser.tv/selectserver.html page, it shows a new server every few minutes (or more frequently), sometimes with a fairly generic name but sometimes with the other user's full name (that is, the name of their computer includes their full name per Apple's default naming scheme). Yikes. If I skip the Web Connect on my Rokus, I can access my own server just fine from my local network, but I cannot access it from another network unless I map the port in my router and point to my home IP address. Not only is this inconvenient for me, but far more importantly it seems like a security risk and/or breach of privacy for the other users. Even if somehow I'm doing something wrong, this shouldn't be possible. Anyone else seeing this? As a brand-new user, I'm not sure if this issue is limited to the Mac server or is a Media Browser issue in general. I really hope that someone can help. I've used MB3 since about January and had no issues until a month or two ago. I use MB3 primarily to watch my movies (mp4/m4v) on the iPads via the media browser app (latest update). Previously, I had no issues watching movies both within my network and externally. Then, all of the sudden, playback stopped working on most movies and I can't figure out the cause. I have an iPad 2 (iOS7) and an iPad Mini (iOS8) and both have same issues. I am able to see the library and select the movie, but the movies just won't load. Just get the spinning wheel and sometimes I have to manually kill the app to get out of it. It doesn't happen with all movies, but it happens with most. To clarify, if a particular movie doesn't work, it never works and if a movie works, then it always works. Server (Version 3.0.5395.0) is on a Windows 7 64bit machine. If I use Safari to access the server, I am able to play all the movies fine. I am okay with doing this but that process is not so easy for the other people in the house. I've uninstalled the app and MB3 Server and started from scratch but had no luck. I love this program when it works and I really hope that someone can help me with this. Attached is the log that I think that you need. Having problems playing all files via "choose a client" to SAMSUNG LED & WDTV dnla (see pic). If i use the phone to play to samsung tv (see pic) If i use the phone to play on wdtv i get the error "this is sharing content from windows" on the tv screen But Playing to WMClassic works fine & switches to remote view after selection. PS... Samsung tv & media browser tv app work fine & plays the same files no issues Playing the files direct on the phone also works fine. If i use the PC to 'right click & play to' wdtv the files play ok too. This seems confined to the green logo dnla items only.

As per the subject line, this has recently started to happen when using MB Classic. Whenever I select an actor to see their information, the application exits. Under the new 3.0.27 beta, at least I get an "invalid application" error in Windows Media Centre. The problem does not manifest in MB Theatre, so I think something is up with my MB Classic. Has anyone else experienced this?

Hi, I keep getting this error when trying to open Media Center even when Media Browser (v 3.0.5424.1) is on: "ERROR Could not connect to Media browser 3 Server. Please be sure it is running on the local network. Would you like to re-try?" How can I fix this? I've re-installed Media Browser (with latest update) and I still get this same error, so what gives? Hi, I am having errors showing in the library where the access to the path is denied on two servers. No changes have been made to the system(s) and it worked fine earlier today (with successful media scans). I've had this problem before and there was no resolution other than to delete the entire library setting and add them in again. This time, I tried just adding another network path before deleting anything and got the same error message: "access to path \\server\folder is denied" I can access all the paths in question with Windows Explorer or by logging into the servers remotely (i.e., there are no permission issues; this system has been stable for years) I was able to play a movie in Windows Movie Player, but MB Classic insists it is no longer there. Launching MB Classic now shows the various collections with empty folders. Rebooting the machine with MB Server did not help, nor did starting/stopping the service. Please see the attached log, it shows the server cannot locate any of the paths involved. Any ideas would be appreciated as it seems this time I cannot simply delete the collection paths and start again. server-63527148017.zip

I've had this problem before and it seemed to fix it's self. Happening again. I hit the green button on my windows remote, up pops media center. I click the MB3 icon and it goes to the welcome back screen. I get six loading dots showing the loading process and it freezes. I am using MB Server with MB Classic via Media center on Windows 7 ultimate. This was a new one for me, so thought I'd post it. Happens every time I enter into show or episode details of one particular show in my library. MBT crashes with the "unhandled exception" in the thread title. The show works fine in the web client. Crash logs are attached. The only special thing with the show in question (that I could think of) is that I moved it (the entire show folder) from my library to a different storage folder for a while, then moved it back. Tried moving it out and back again with server reboot in between, but that didn't fix the problem. Also tested the move operation with a different show, but that one still works.
