Hello I am running into this issue again that the GPU is recognised by Emby but the options for hardware transcoding are not showing. This issue was previously fixed with Version 4.8.10.0 but appears to be happening again. Just to be clear, Passthrough available (non-NVIDIA) is selected from TrueNAS. I've seen this discussed in another conversation thread, but there was no solution. This is a new install of Emby on 2 separate Qnap systems. Both do not work when I open the web interface. I'm getting: This site can’t be reached 192.168.1.21 refused to connect. full url is 192.168.1.21:8920 (also tried http and https) I rebooted both servers but get the same issues (refused to connect). I have also installed Emby on a Synology server (last night) without any issues, although the web interface port opening in Chrome from that NAS is 8096 ... I've also tried that with the two Qnap addresses without success. Note: The exclamation mark in the QNAP screenshot is due to the absence of a digital signature.

After the update the version is 13.1-RELEASE-p9 but should be 13.2-RELEASE-p11. It looks to me like the Emby Server version: 4.8.8.0 update doesn't work on FreeBSD 13.1-RELEASE-p9. A workaround could be a manual update of FreeBSD via the jail shell, but this hasn't worked for me so far. my question: 1. Can someone with TrueNAS experience tell me the necessary shell commands so that I can update the BSD 2. I have the version 4.8.8.0 of Emby in a docker container on a synology NAS. I also have the premiere 'unlock' if that even matters for this issue. Everything seemed to be going swimmingly until I needed to use the Identify option for a 3rd tv series, Wonder Woman. I had successfully accessed, and changed, using the moviedb id, the shows, Magnum P.I. and Speed Racer. The numbered logfile contains at least the Speed Racer alteration. Note that '_sanitized' just means I altered my username. It's the only user w/full perms. The media filesystems are read-only so there are messages indicating writes to the posters/background images in those filesystems weren't successful. That has not changed so I seriously doubt it would be the issue. I've monitored the log file (tail -f), clicked on the Identify option, and received the web error dialog but nothing shows up in the logs. As a point of "hey this would be a nice thing to log feature request", please make that a thing/why is that not a thing? The screenshot files are only for Wonder Woman, but I receive the same error for any tv_show or movie I attempt to access 'Identify' on now. Other metadata editing options, e.g. "Edit Metadata", work fine. Identify just seems to be wedged/locked out. I've also restarted the docker container w/no joy. When using bluetooth earphones (galaxy buds live) on emby for android tv (ver 2.1.10g on chromecast 4) any media (only videos) give the error "Too many errors. Giving up". For context, i have normally 3 audio output: HDMI, bluetooth speaker and bluetooth earphones. Only the earphones give the error. I try disabling the transcoding on the server, disabling the option "burn subtitles" on the app for andorid and the audio output (in the app) i try the 3 options (automatic, dolby and stereo) but nothing work. The "solution" i found is disconnect the earphones, play the media with the speakers or the hdmi output an then, when the media is playing, connect the earphones and it work. Also been having this problem for almost a year now, on multiple Fire Sticks. Luckily I have other devices but it would be much more useful if the Fire Stick worked like it used to instead of using an 8 year old Android TV as a workaround — as you can probably guess it isn’t the best to use.

I’m trying to sign into my Emby connect on my Fire TV by navigating to emby.media.pin, entering my username and password, and the PIN code displayed on the screen, however when I select ‘Next,’ it redirects me to the login screen again, requesting I select a method of sign in again, despite the page displaying “Pin confirmed.” Please advise.

Tengo un NAS Synology DS1815+ con DSM 7. Tenía instalado Emby Server 4.7.11.0 y lo he desinstalado para volver a instalarlo en otro volumen del NAS, tras la nueva instalación el servidor Emby no permite ser ejecutado, la ejecución se detiene al momento sin llegar a poder abrir la web del servidor. Ever since the latest update I can't use any of my plugins. I can open the plugin catalog from the advanced settings menu but none of my already installed plugins will open their settings menus. I have tried accessing the web os through Firefox (114.0.2 (64-bit)) and Safari (16.5) with the same result. My emby server(4.7.13.0) is running on a synology NAS running DSM 7.1.1. with a reverse proxy. I have also previous to the latest update completed all the checks for the security breach. Everything was fine last night then this morning I can't get anything to actually play. I tried several files and all just sit and spin. This happened about a week ago too. I thought maybe a locked database so I shut down deleted the library shm/wal files and rebooted. I have a Library with my actual movie files, and another Library of a folder with stubs in it. When a movie has both a (*.mp4) file and a stub (*.disc) these get grouped together and can be browsed in both libraries, which is great, and the "Auto Movie Version Grouping" plugin does its job well. However, when browsing in the library which contains only the stub file, actual playback is not possible ("Please insert the disc in order to play this video.") regardless of which of the grouped versions I select. Browsing the same movie from the search has the same issue.

PS when I say folder I mean folder / library. I have 1 folder per library. So yes, I know there's already 1000 of threads about this exact error. But mine seems to be different. First of all, I recently had this exact error with some new movie files, which had really really long titles (and the folder where the file was in, had the same super long title). It gave me this same error every time, until I shortened the folder and video file. Strange, but okay, solved easily. Now I have this same error, but a different issue, with my 1 folder of HDR demo files. They're all short 1/2 minute files, all in the same folder. All stopped working. They worked before. I don't think I've changed any setting on my demo folder. BUT when I take one of these files, and move it to my movie folder, then play it from Emby, it works. BTW the demo folder hasn't worked in months, but they worked before that. I just want to fix it now. So I guess it must be somehow setting related. So I compared the settings for both folders. And as far as I can see, they're exactly the same. Strange, right? Any ideas? Can it somehow have to do with the fact that the files are short in time? I think the demo folder is set up as a TV show library, but I can't find where I check that. It does have some other tv-show related settings which my movie folder doesn't have. Could that be it? I looked at other threads with this error but it looks like 10 different issues all gives this same error, and also many people said: do: "PKG install ffmpeg" but I'm pretty sure that's not a thing on a server running windows, right? And yes I can probably fix it by making a new (movie) library for this folder and solve it that way, but I rather know what is happening for next time.

Hi there, im hoping someone could provide some guidance for me on my new Emby Premium docker build. It's working, however I have this issue that needs resolving. Im pretty new to the docker and linux world for that matter. The issue is; Cant delete movies and shows from the Emby UI. Error: "There was an error deleting the item from Emby Server. Please check that Emby Server has write access to the media folder and try again." Docker Compose running on Ubuntu 22.04.1 host. I've read and understood as much as I can of these articles. If I could, I would grant read/write/execute to 'emby', but that user doesnt exist on the Ubuntu host. Ho attuamente due connettività (casa e casa vacanze) accoppiate tra loro con due Fritz Box (accoppiamento lan tramite vpn) La situazione è la seguente, lan 1 (connettività principale)192.168.1.x lan 2 192.168.2.x con il server emby posizionato su 192.168.1.xx Se dall'esterno mi collego in vpn alla connettività principale (dove si trova fisiamnete la macchina su cui è installato emby) riseco ad aprire senza problemi l'app (in quanto il disositivo connesso in vpn risulta avere un insirizzo 192.168.1.x se però provo a spostarmi nella connettività accoppiata alla lan principale l'app non siesce a connettersi, da browser invece anche sotto la connettività secondaria (192.168.2.x) mi basta digitare l'ip del server emby (192.168.1.x) e riesco a visualizzatre tutto tranquillamente. Sapete per caso quale può essere il problema? Grazie a tutti i nanticipo.

Over the last several weeks, i have been having an issue where recorded shows will pause and hang on playback on any device, shield, roku, samsung, windows browser etc. the player will all but lockup, you can sometimes skip around and get passed the problem spot, sometimes it will completely lock up. It seems to happen in the same spot every time. It seems to only happen on shows recorded from a ABC OTA Channel, and of course only with ".ts" files. It does not seem to matter if you are trying to watch the show as its being recorded or even after the recording is complete. The playback issue will remain until TDARR processes the file into h265 and mkv, tdarr is on a hold for 3 hours until it picks up the file, however this issue was happening to this library before i told tdarr to process these shows. The issue was happening before i told tdarr or any other program to watch this folder / library. The server has been rebooted, it is a standalone machine that does not sleep etc. It also does not matter how i try to connect to the server, fqdn, ip address, through pfsense with haproxy or cloudflare. Other items work just fine. The hardware is a Dell R720xd dual socket server with 2x xeon cpu's 12 cores, 24 threads, 224gb ram, nvidia 1050Ti (driver unlocked), connected to the network with 2x 10Gb teamed nic to a 10Gb core switch, then gigabit to all other clients, most are wired. It runs Windows Server 2019 and acts as a hypervisor, it is up to date. emby runs mostly as a service using nssm, but the problem remains running as a service or not. The storage is running Raid 5, the storage backing this library is across 12x SAS 6gb 2TB drives, OS runs on a separate raid array across other SAS 15k drives. The server connects to 2x HD Homerun Duos. Host OS: Windows Server 2019 Emby Server version: 4.7.8.0 NVIDIA Driver: Studio Driver Version 472.84 (unlocked) This setup has been like this for several years and has worked just fine until this point. I am attaching the logs for the transcode and emby server, i tried some with debug on and off, and the 2 shows i was working with was: Station 19 S06E03 Dancing With Our Hands Tied.ts and Grey's Anatomy S19E03 Let's Talk About Sex.ts, which were also recorded last night. I kept a copy of the Grey's Anatomy ts file before tdarr caught it. that being said, i can open the files and play in vlc just fine. If I add new movies to Emby the movie metadata isn't downloaded directly. If I manually Identify the movie only some metadate (like Images and Title) are fetched. Other metadata (like Plot and Actors) are not downloaded. I only use TMDB as metadata provider. For example I tried the movie Independence Day (1996). The complete metadata of this movie is available on TMDB, but it's not downloaded completely:e I also appended the Logs ("CompleteLog.txt") and already identified a relevant section ("RelevantLogSection.txt"). Emby reports an Error in TheMovieDB that states: I already restarted my NAS (Synology DS 220+), restarted Emby (Version 4.7.4.0), tried different movies and used the Refresh Meta button. Hi, emby isn't showing or even finding images for a few movies/series, i use MovieDB, Proxer, TVDB... Well, everithing that's possible to use. Bom dia, instalei o emby em um servidor linux e estou com um problema onde filmes que estou colocando nele não estão sendo localizados pelo emby server, e algumas temporadas de series também não. Já verifiquei a localização dos arquivos e o tipo de arquivos, verifiquei a permissão dos arquivos e pastas e estão todas com 777 e mesmo assim o emby server não os encontra. No caso do exemplo abaixo a segunda temporada de gumball o emby server encontra, mas a primeira ele não encontra. Like the title says, navigating to my server address (from my PC, using Firefox) or right clicking on the Emby icon in the task bar of the server itself (using Chrome) and selecting 'Configure Emby' or 'Browse Library' takes me to a black screen that, if I highlight the area per the photo, I can see should be allowing me to log in, and isn't. This screen appears after briefly showing me the Emby logo and a loading wheel. I am running 4.6.7.0; I've checked my network numerous times and it's configured the same way it always has been. I can connect just fine with my Android app and Emby Theater on the same PC having issues. I have restarted Emby multiple times. I think I've attached the logs, but I couldn't say for sure, so if there's other files you need to help me figure out what the hell is happening, please ask. embyserver.txt

Setting up a Sony X1 TV with the Emby Android TV app... I have an emby server on a server computer. This Emby server has a Music library (called "Music") reading FLAC files from an artist/album/track configuration. Playing these FLAC files though Emby-Theatre on my normal computer I have no problems. But, however, playing the same files on the Android TV app, I can play all but the last two/threee seconds where I then see momentarily the message "Error playing audio". This is repeatable and happens for each and every file played. If I go into the playlist, I can forward to the next song which also plays up until the last couple of seconds and repeats with the error message. I am currently rebuilding the Music library, but this has not had any effect. Any ideas what is going wrong? -Thanks in advance, David.
