Hi, Hope everybody is having a fab XMAS this year....I have a slight issue. When I go to TV Shows>Episodes and change the filter to show 'Missing Episodes', it shows nothing. I know that I am missing episodes of a few series but it comes up blank. Any clues as to what I should do or if an update is needed. P.S. After updating to V. 3.1.1.0 today, the XMAS snow theme disappeared. Thanks. Server-63618009284.txt

SO, I just received a raspberry pi 2. I am looking to use my EMBY media server with it, if at all possible. Currently I have OSMC and raspbian installed. I tried to install the Kodi app from emby with no success. Also tried installing the "media browser" from inside OSMC. I am going to assume emby is not supported through osmc and I will have to install Kodi/xbmc in order to be able to use emby. Any direction would be greatly appreciated. Thanks JB

Many of my web ui pages takes ages to load. The Home page is just ok...5-10 seconds. TV, Shows, other views take 10's of seconds. This persists after restarting emby-server, restarting the actual machine, or a test install on another machine. Example log attached. server_anon.txt

I have ripped We're the Millers Blu-Ray to MKV, with extras and an Extended Cut. The extras and extended cut are not being detected as an alternate version or extras, they are being identified as individual movies. I have followed the instructions in the wiki, to no avail. im writing a emby mopidy plugin. right now it supports browsing and streaming and a little searching. right now i want to implement a seek function. i use the streaming urls for listening to music like /Audio/<Id>/stream.mp3 is there a way to seek in this stream with a remote like api endpoint? right now i tried /Sessions/<sessionId>/Playing/seek?SeekPositionTicks=<tick> this doesnt work at all. i get this response: {u'ResponseStatus': {u'ErrorCode': u'NullReferenceException', u'Message': u'Object reference not set to an instance of an object', u'Errors': []}} any ideas?

Hi, Is there an easier way to restore the purchase of the Android App. Time and again my Android app will not be able to play the media from my server. I have previously purchased Emby app back in June 2014. The usual route i use is to email apps@.media to unlock it for me. Is there an easier way to make the unlock permanent so i dont have to go thru this once in a while? Regards, Jon

I've just purchased a HDHomeRun Connect and having issues getting all channels recognised in Emby, If I use the HDHomeRun app on my Shield TV or the HDHomeRun plugin in Kodi, then all the channels show up, including the channel icons. I have checked the server log after re-running the Guide Refresh and there are no errors, it's just not fetching everything. Anyone got UK OTA channels to show correctly in Emby please ??

Hello: I'm running Emby Server 3.0.8200.0 on a Windows 7 PC. Each time I lock my PC (Ctl/Alt/Delete - Lock this computer) Emby shuts down after approx. one hour. Every Xbox 360 extender that has it loaded loses connectivity to it. I have to log back into the PC, the Emby logo/load screen pops up, it loads and then everything is fine. Note - the PC is set for the hard drive to never go to sleep. How do I keep Emby running when the PC is locked? I could leave it unlocked but it's less secure that way. I keep getting a error message, unhandled exception a socket operation was attempted to unreachable host? Then the emby server just shuts down and i have to restart it.

I have had LiveTV working for a while, but after a recent crash, the ServerWMC plugin did not show as installed anymore. Taking the opportunity to install the latest ServerWMC update (had to install manually since auto update was not working) I then installed the plugin in Emby and restarted. When it restarted it began to set each of my three tuners (HDHR Prime) to active. WMC was not showing the tuners were active, but could not open Live TV because there were no tuners available. ServerWMC showed the tuners as busy, but I could not get them to release from there. I had to restart my HDHR to get them to release. However, now every time Emby restarts the same thing happens. I looked through the Emby logs but couldn't see anything that showed an error during startup. This line repeated twice, but I don't know if that means anything: 2016-10-01 10:53:33.7352 Info App: Entry point completed: MediaBrowser.Server.Implementations.LiveTv.TunerHosts.SatIp.SatIpDiscovery. Duration: 0 seconds Any ideas what is going on? Other than the issues with startup, everything else appears to be working correctly. I did an uninstall/reinstall of the ServerWMC plugin to see if that would fix it, but it still occupies all the available tuners on startup, one by one.

I just wanted to mention that access to emby connect and emby theater is very good fom the PS4 web browser. I haven't heard anyone talk about this (unless I missed it) but I thought it was worthy of mentioning. Also I didn't notice it mentioned on the web site that you can access your server via PS4 web browser.

Hello, I have an HDHomerun Prime setup with WMC on a windows 8 machine running ServerWMC and Emby. As of last week I can no longer watch LiveTV through Emby (phone app and PC). WMC works fine. ServerWMC shows one of the tuners in red and channel says <unknown channel>. I tried disabling all antiviruses, updated to the latest versions of all apps and still no luck. Please help!

Hallo Forum, ich habe Emby auf meiner ds415+ mit dsm6.0 beta installiert. Emby läuft via Docker. Über das dvblink-Plugin habe ich den dvblink-Server, ebenfals auf der Syno laufend, angebunden. Normale streams laufen super, aber bei hd ruckelt es ganz extrem und fängt sich auch nicht wieder. In der Config vom Plugin habe ich alles außer Logindaten gesetzt. Als Serverip ist die 127.0.0.1 angegeben. Unter Plex und direkt über DVBLink laufen alle Streams sauber durch. Hat jemand eine Idee, was das sein kann? Als Tuner kommt der HDHR3-4DC mit der Firmware 20150826 zum Einsatz. Viele Grüße Blinddark -
Hi, I wasn't sure where to post this, as I don't know whether it is a server or client side issue. I've recently replaced a failing SSD in my Windows 8.1 server and reinstalled Windows and Emby Server, along with Media Center Master. For the last few weeks I have been encountering issues with streaming videos to Edge on Xbox One and now Chrome on MacOS 10.11.6. The video will start playing fine for a few minutes then pause, sometimes it will continue, others it will just stay paused indefinitely. Originally, I was only having this issue with playing Friends ripped from Blu-Ray, as the MKV's were a direct stream rip from the Blu-Ray at full bitrate. I started re-ripping them to a maximum bitrate of 8000-9000mbps which solved the problem, but now it is happening from downloaded TV series as well. I have pretty much given up trying to watch anything from the server now as it is too frustrating with the frequent pausing. What can I do to solve this?

Hi, after receiving the Emby email I proceed to install the revamped Emby Theater app on the Microsoft Store; it installed ok and I started it, when it prompts you to select your automatically, it asks you to register the new PIN with your Emby Connect username and password; I entered by correct username and password, but the Emby does not accept them, I even used my email instead or the username, same thing! At this stage I can't access my Emby Server with Theater in any device, only via Embt Web app! Can you do something about this?

After the most recent updates, I have run into an issue with Emby Server 3.1.6007.33439. Emby Server seems to be binding to the wrong NIC - binding itself to the VMWare VMNet #1 Virtual Network Adapter (a VMWare Host-only Network) rather than to the physical NIC - ASUS PCI-E AC68 WiFi Adapter. This has rendered Emby Server inaccessible to anything on the local network (since VMNet #1 is a Host-only adapter). Disabling the VMWare Adapters forces it to use the WiFi Adapter but this has to be done every single time Emby Server is started. Is there a way to override which adapter is used while this is investigated? The OS is Windows 10 Pro (Insider Preview - Fast Ring but it did it on the Anniversary Release as well which stayed installed up to today) and it's only Emby Server which is binding to the VMWare adapters rather than a physical NIC. Other applications operating on the localhost are binding to the correct network adapter (the ASUS WiFi).

Each time when I start Kodi after Emby server got new movie(s) then sync process hangs with message about updating library with new movie(s) but actually they don't appear in Kodi library. Kodi or PC restart does not help. Only force re-sync helps. It seems I have complicated my life but my intention was to keep things simple... What is the best setup for my needs? Background: For years, I've had movies stored on a network share and have been using Serviio Pro (DLNA) for standalone Blu-ray players that do not play all video formats. Serviio also does a fairly decent job of streaming over the Internet via it's built-in web portal. I occasionally utilize this functionality when I'm away. Next, I added a WDTV device because the standalones sometimes freeze and have problems with fast forward and reverse. The WDTV device plays videos directly from the network share and was working great up till the last couple of firmware updates. The stupid device periodically looses track of the network share and cannot find it again unless I reboot my PC's and/or server, depending on which one is designated as the master browser. This is a known issue that will probably never be resolved. Anyway, I replaced the WDTV with an Android TV box because of that issue. I'm loving the Android box (MeMoBOX MX MAX) but it has complicated matters. For example: I can no longer use a single universal remote to control the TV, standalone and streaming box. Now I have to have two separate remotes. I had to purchase a separate air mouse remote with a keyboard to utilize the features of the Android box. I could not find an all-in-one that has air mouse, keyboard and that can be programmed to control the standalone and TV. This one (MX3) comes close and it works very, very well. I just hope it holds up. The Android box came with Kodi so now there's a great deal more menus and more steps involved to navigate to and play videos. More menus and options = confused wife. I don't know what is the most efficient way to set things up. My questions and dilemma: I want robustness and simplicity. I do not want to have a complicated setup that requires administration of redundant services or multiple libraries. I want the flexibility of being able to access a single library from the LAN or WAN and be able to select whether I want to watch a transcoded movie or a direct stream. I do not want to transcode everything. Only when needed. Money is tight so I don't want to purchase Emby Premiere Lifetime unless it's needed or very beneficial. It's just not clear to me if I need Kodi on all PC's, Kodi with Emby add-on, Emby Server, Emby Premiere or Emby at all because Kodi does scraping too. Do I need Kodi on any device or PC to play movies if I install Emby server? If so, does each PC maintain it's own library? In a nutshell, why would I need Emby Premiere? Is Emby Theater a replacement for Kodi on Windows? How does it differ from Kodi? Does it automatically transcode the video or is transcoding a selectable option? If I install Emby Server, do I have to pay for the Android app on each device? If so, is it a one time purchase and does that give me the same functionality as if I purchased Premiere? Do I have to pay a fee for each phone or does the one fee cover all phones on the same google account? I'm most confused about why I need Emby since Kodi scrapes. It appears to me that each product has a different purpose but there is some functionality overlap.

I recently removed my music albums section,and cleaned both sections in Emby and Kodi,but when kodi runs sync at startup it still scans like albums and songs are available but there is nothing in that section? Its been removed,and also i took screenshot of some strange characters that show up during music sync,can anybody tell me what they are and how to get rid of. Thats reason i removed music albums,when these characters show it kept hanging on sync and would not show albums correctly. http://s72.photobucket.com/user/nolovenv...m.png.html

Emby Theater 2.4.5 Bugs: When changing view to “Albums” Things look un organized but using the web it is perfect as I use Album> A-Z. Emby Roku: Doesn’t store password and this is a severe headache to have to re-enter it all the time. Emby v3.0.5972.0 Server: The ability to disable Public HTTP as I only wanted SSL connections available, even if it means it cause some apps and services not to function but I haven’t found anything that I use affected. DLNA doesn’t work properly when it comes to populating all the movies for the Roku 3 and Roku 4. The Movies are in MP4 with either H.264 or H.265 (Yes, all of them) However, my 20 dollar copy of Mezzmo populates all the movies with art and synopsis for each correctly. DLNA needs ability to customized folders which also includes being able to delete unwanted folders, such as “Recent” and the other unwanted folders. DLNA needs to be able to have its own folders not viewable from login accounts. Why?, Because what I stream via the internet are a lower bitrate due to bandwidth restrictions and file support from what is available on my local network. Example if I wanted to stream a 40mbps h.265 on my local network to a tv in my house for the best picture possible that is fine but that’s not realistic to stream via the internet so being able to hide files that cannot be used otherwise is simply a good idea and makes the software look and feel more professional. I don’t need to see something I can’t use, in other words. BTW Thanks for making great software but please fix the issues listed above. A premiere lifetime supporter. -
Is there any way to implement a better seek bar? When ever I try moving the seek bar to where I want it, it always ends up being a minute before or after where I wanted it. Is it possible to get it more accurate down to the second...or even 5 seconds. Also is there a possibility of implementing a thumbnail slider seek bar shown
