Being from the UK we say "The 20th of March" and not "March 20th" so when looking at dates on the web console it is odd to see them in US format. Could the dates not be displayed in a localised format, take what is setup from either the servers regional settings or the clients.

Hi I use MBC and the Chocolate theme. This theme does just about everything I need. One tiny item I miss is the ability on the main movie menu (by that I mean the one with the play button) I would like to be able to click on the director's name and list all films by that Director, the same way I can go into the cast menu and select an Actor and it displays all the films in my collection that they appear in. Could this be considered as a feature request please?

Suggesting a Feature Request for ability to search my list of movies by movie format type: DVD or BluRay. I have my movies separated into different folders but have all movies show up altogether. Sometimes I feel like just watch one o m BluRay and would like to see just a list of them.

Hi, I wanted to ask if it is possible to show also German ratings in detail view? US ratings are shown, but e.g. "DE-FSK12+" is not shown. I can see German ratings in the web interface. Would be great when this could be done. Thanks!

Duplicate MBC: Request - TV Series "Episode List" View in Season
politby posted a topic in Feature Requests
I mainly use the Crystal theme but this is probably theme independent. Currently the available views in the season screen are missing one where I can make a quick selection from just a list of episodes. Scrolling through a long series of posters or covers is not optimal for TV episodes. I'd love to see a view that lists a season's episodes by name, where the currently highlighted episode's thumbnail and synopsis are shown adjacent to the list. The list should be navigable and scrollable so an episode can be selected and played by hitting "play" on the remote. Even better, indicate watched status using a little icon or by different text color. Am I making sense? I'd make a screen mockup if I was a better artist... Thanks -
Duplicate Ability to manually enter IMDb and MovieDB IDs in MetaData Manger
A8HTPC posted a topic in General/Windows
I have had certain movies have trouble finding the correct movie information, in this case the option to input a different ID is available. Though if the MB server is have a difficult time finding the information, there is no option under "External IDs" to manually set the id. Could this be changed? Maybe even have an option, similar to Plex Media Server, where it while list many different IDs with the titles and movie cover, you can then pick the one you want. -
First off, I'd just like to say thank you for all of the incredible work you guys have done. I have been using media browser since version 2.0, and MB3 is just fantastic. I will be contributing shortly. The iOS app is great, and I've thoroughly enjoyed using it on my iPhone 4s. The remote control functionality is useful for scrubbing through movies and TV shows quickly. I have noticed that browsing a large media library on my phone is much faster than using a remote and MBC/MBT. I think it would be great if I could browse to a video on my phone and then tell it to play in MBC instead of my phone, much like the way airplay works. I would assume both devices would need to have the same user logged in. So the "workflow" would be like this: Start MBC/MBT Open app on my phone Browse to a movie Hit "Play on device" and select my MBC/MBT session The video would automatically start playing in MBC/MBT Thanks again for all your hard work, Charlie

Duplicate MB server dashboard - details on library scans
sfnetwork posted a topic in General/Windows
It think it would be a good idea to have a minimum of detail on what part of the scanning it's doing in the MB server dashboard during library scans: Like, par example, which collection it is scanning, etc... I don't like being in the dark in this process- 1 reply

Duplicate Obvious feature that should've been implemented long ago
JQP posted a topic in General/Windows
WTF is the feature request forum? This one is so obvious I can't believe it isn't already a part of media browser: make file/folder name text in brackets visible to Media Browser for the purposes of sorting. This way, we can just tell MB to sort alphabetically and F-O-R-C-E MB to sort and display folders and files in the order we want, but the text still won't show up in the MB interface. -
Can you please add the feature to allow the same folder path to be added to different Media collections eg: I have a media collection "TV series Continuing" for all the TV series that have not ended screening and I also have Series folder for all the rest, I would also like to add the "TV Series Continuing" to the "Series" Media collection but I get the error : The path \\server\tvseriescontinuing already exist in the library.

I'm not sure how much use others would get out of this, but it would be awesome for the server to be able to resume scanning from where it left off should the server PC power off/reboot for whatever reason. It would be specially useful for those (of us) with large libraries. Currently it starts from scratch every time. Or at the very least, have it skip over anything that it's already scanned and indexed.

Could be useful to have the possibility to map a given genre to another, to avoid the proliferation of genre. There are 2 scenarios: 1) The Genre is in anothere language: for example "Drama" in english and "Drammatico" in italian, now on MB3 they are considered 2 different genre, but in reality are the same. Could be useful having the possibility to remap the genre "Drammatico" in "Drama" 2) Even in english for the same Genre could be possible to have different names: for example one could consider that the genre "Science Fiction" is the same of "Sci-Fi" and remap "Science Fiction" in "Sci-Fi".

Hi, I've fairly recently stopped using meta</browser> for my metadata fetching purposes, and started using MBServer for everything. One feature, however, that I do miss from metabrowser is the auto-renaming feature. I suppose I'm a little OCD when it comes to how tidy my collection is, so I liked the fact that I could just add something to my collection, (i.e. a television episode) and it would automatically be given a nice, tidy file name. Example: "Breaking Bad S03E02 - Caballo Sin Nombre (2010).mkv" looks much nicer than: "Breaking.Bad.S05E15.720p.HDTV.x264.mkv". Same goes for movies, where something like: "man.of.steel.2013.1080p.bluray.x264.mkv" really sticks out to me, and if it could look more like: "Dracula (1992) - [MKV].mkv" my OCD would feel better haha. Real-time folder monitoring was a nice touch as well... Just putting it out there! Thanks for the great service, Patrick PS. I just made up these file names for example purposes...

It would be nice to have some way to have a personal library like we have now but to also have a quick and easy way to also include the default media library. Right now it's one or the other.
