@@Luke Hello. Besides the live tv area to find active recordings as an admin mostly on my server I would really like it if the active recordings would be displayed while they are happening. Letting the admin know what tuners are in use easily by Emby, This situation is two fold if your a premiere user, as I take advantage of the awesome convert to stream friendly format feature. Not only would this alert me if the tuners are in use, but that also ffmpeg processes are currently running to convert these recordings. I'm in the dashboard a lot, so I prefer I could see these type things when I'm there. If I missed a post, I apologize, I did try to search. Thanks for your input.

Request to have a Popular content listing within the emby dashboard (data taken from users managed through the server [not emby premier]) For example if multiple users have watched Video or series #1 then it will be listed as popular content among local user database. Couldn't find if this had been suggested or not yet

I guess there are some things that shouldn't be bloating the "Recent Activity" in Dashboard, such as: - User has started playing theme - User has stopped playing theme - Browsers logins... (connected from firefox 48...etc...)

I upgraded from Win10 to the Win10 Anniversary update. Emby was working just fine before the update. Now when I right click on Emby and select "Configure Emby" a new tab opens in my web browser with the following text. I'm not sure why it's looking in "H:\", it's just some spare drive I have attached to my computer. Everything Emby needs should be in "C:\". I tried installing a more recent version of Emby on top of my current install and it doesn't appear to have fixed the problem.

Hi, The only way I have found to restart the Server on OSX is to log in on the server and Quit it from the OSX/Mac top menu. It would be really handy if there could be a restart button next to the shutdown button on the Server tab of the Dashboard, right next to the Shutdown button. As an added bonus, once implemented, the Restart function could be linked from the post-Plugin-installation text reminding the operator to restart the server. Would make for even smoother operations. -Florux

I used MB2 until a few days ago which worked flawlessly. Now I upgraded to MB3 and installed server and client on the same machine. Most of the time when I try to connect to the dashboard by http://localhost:8096/mediabrowser/dashboard/index.html I get an error message saying connection is not possible. I opened all ports for the media browser in my windows firewall and I even tried to connect to the dashboard with the firewall switched off. I used google chrome, firefox and internet explorer. Nothing helped.

Is it possible to create another panel in Dashboard, where we could monitor transcodings in progress? Would be very helpful to understand whether is your Emby transcoding, for which media, for which reason (if possible), and for which user. Maybe some CPU % data, threads in use, etc...etc...

I've been using Emby now for about 5 months. A month or so ago, my server got reset and I'd been too busy to get it up and running again until today. After a bit of putzing, including a uninstall and reinstall of the lastest stable server, everything seems to be working except for accessing the server dashboard via Chrome. When I access the server via localhost or my IP address on port 8096, I'm getting a blank page that appears to be the black Emby page background. No images. No menu. No error message. Earlier today, I was able to initially access the page to set up the server via Chrome, but it seems as though once I logged in, the next time I tried to access it all that would load is a blank page. The same thing happened when I tried to access via Chrome on another computer... first time, I was able to select the user, log in, everything was good. Then the next time I tried to access the server, I got a blank page. I've also tried MS Edge, which loads the page as it should every time, so it seems to be something unique to Chrome. I've tried clearing cache, cookies, etc to no avail. I've also tried disabling all Chrome extensions and updating Crome. Still no luck. Any idea what could be going on? Now that the UI navigation has been altered to have nested levels - it now takes three clicks to initiate a library scan (Library > Folders > Scan Library). I don't like using automatic library scanning as it causes me problems (my NAS is not powered on 24/7) - so I always manually initiate library scans (often multiple times a day after adding various new content). Please consider adding a "Scan Library" button to the main dashboard page or even to the left hand navigation list (if that's possible). Maybe something like this: Anyone else that would like this feature - please "Like" this post as it helps bring it to the devs' attention.

Hi, I am really new to CSS but I managed to get something I like (see dark & red theme attached image). Can you actually change the green default color I see everywhere like those circles or check marks (see green circles attached image)? I don't know how to do it... I would like to get it in red. I checked the dashboard-ui folder but it seems that my solution isn't there. Any help please?

I use the web client more for media management than as a 'viewing client'. It would be useful to have an option to have the default action set to 'open', where it is currently 'play'.

Hi, I would like to request that the log path be made customisable in the server dashboard.

Currently when I use the 'PlayTo" feature on my iPhone, using the Web Client, I must (each time) select my XboxOne as the device I with to play to. Note: I can only get my xbox One to appear in the "PlayTo" device list if I browse to the "Xbox One Media Player". Is there a way, or could there be a way to save the Device to always be chosen when the web client is opened? And also, something a little more complicated, could that device only be statically set when I open the Web Client from my iPhone, but not set when the remote is opened from another Device (like chrome on my computer)? Oh boy... Is that too much?

People Views also exhibit this problematic symptom..eg abby eliott The two source entities which created these two objects are 'Abby Elliot' and 'Abby Elliott'... in this case the 2nd 'incorrect' person object 'Abby Elliot' came from a gueststars tag on a series.xml.... Unfortunately it is impossible to use MBS to find the offending tag/source object and correct... because 1. The person/artist object is shown as matched rather than as is...so searching for the incorrect value outside MBS is obfuscated..(although looking at the IBN entry/path can help) 2. clicking on both person objects in UI shows content for the same matched person on the fetcher...NOT...the content which precipitated the object. Clicking one of the objects..the object for 'Abby Elliott' should show 3 episodes of HIMYM where the actor is defined...and it does... Clicking on the other object ..the object for 'Abby Elliot' (also shown as 'Abby Elliott') should show 1 Series of HIMYM where the actor is defined. but it doesnt... its shows the previous / same as above... I would like to see a feature in the webdashboard (MBS) to redirect or force users to a landingspage before they can go to the loginpage. This would be very nice way to personalize Mediabrowser3 to your look and feel of your website. I saw on the dashboard UI - server-configuration (dashboardgeneral.html) there is already a reference to Homestyle (huisstijl in dutch) where you can put in a noclaimer of some kind.

My Album artist view in dashboards shows invalid objects, namely, 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s. Note at some point mb3 created an artist.xml in the folder and matched to an mbz artist id. i since deleted the xml and rescanned. I guess mb3 is confused my by folder structure for compilations, maybe i need to ask for a feature request so i can put a .ignore file in my folder structure for music folders which neither represent artists or albums and are just organisational folders on the filesystem. Possibly mb3 is further confounded by the fact that these organisational folders have folder.jpgs in them. thank you.

One of the great features of MBS is the ability to manage the server from a browser and therefor not have to work on the host directly (anyone have a mouse, keyboard and monitor handy?). One feature that would be useful would be the ability to shutdown/restart the host itself. I don't have the server powered on 247, so the ability to shutdown the host from the dashboard with be advantageous. Another helpful feature would be to have an integrated VNC client (or similar) so you could launch a remote desktop session straight from the dashboard. This would go far in being able to manage the host itself from the one location. BTW, the progress made the server and the various clients is greatly appreciated round these parts. Thanks, Andy

Good Day, Please can the auto-organize feature in the server watch more then one folder? Could the "Watched Folder" text box allow for a coma delimited folder paths. Currently it is only possible to add one watched folder. However, some people, like me, may need two folders watched. 1. Un packed RAR files 2. File which are not Packed in ZIP or RAR. Most DL files which make their way on to a persons computer can not be altered, because uT doesn't like it when you change the structure of the DL folder. So unpacked RAR/Zip files can not be unpacked into their DL folder. There are ways around this, however unpacking compressed files and maintaining duplicates on one drive gets very large, very quickly. Thanks Ben

Hi, just noticed today that after updating to MBS Dev 3.0.5131.34392 that the log file does not show up in the dashboard. I've restarted a few times but no change. Attached an actual server log if it helps (removed a chunk of guide data refresh to reduce size). Cheers

Hi, nothing major but I've noticed in the last few Dev versions that the dashboard screens don't refresh like they used to. Meaning if there is a progress bar due to a library scan it will sit at 0% and not move even though the scan is running or even finished. Also, after I mark notifications read they still show up. See below, Scan was running for 30 secs before I took the screen print and notifications have been marked read as the 'Mark as read' button is gone. Like I said, small things, just letting you know. Hello, not really a bug, but something functional : i had no access to internet and wanted to change server configuration via the dashboard, but javascript code references online jquery scripts in http://localhost:8096/mediabrowser/dashboard/dashboard.html : http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.9.1/jquery.min.js http://code.jquery.com/mobile/1.3.2/jquery.mobile-1.3.2.min.js maybe in future releases you should embedded the jquery libraries (compressed) ? it's not really needed to be online for this, every changes are on localhost/network thanks, Thomas
