In MB2 I had multiple media collections pointing to the same media location because I wanted my Movie in two different Media Collection in MB, one sorted by date added and the other sorted by Movie Name. MB3 will not allow me to do this...I assume by design. I tried to search to see if anyone else mentioned this, but could not get a hit. Is this correct? If so, is there a way for me to have what I am after? Kind of nice to just click into a view...rather than have to navigate up and change the sort order of a given view. Thanks.

I have been using MB2 for a long time and just now found the time to convert over to MB3. With just over 1500 movies, it was not a task I was looking for too...but I must say the conversion was painless. Along with this, I have decided to take the time to update all the artwork, covers, etc. for all my media (was still using stark covers). I have reverted all my covers back to original .jpg's and now use CoverArt for everything. In particular, for Collections (and boxsets) I use the "fan" treatment. One question I have is: What is the difference between a collection and boxset? The issue I am having is with "nested collections". What I mean by this is have a few collections that I have nested inside collections. For example, I have a Batman Collection (with a collection.xml and accompanying folder.jpg and backdrop.jpg). Inside that I have Batman Anthology Collection and The Dark Knight Collection (each with corresponding xml's, jpg's, etc.). Then inside those I have the actual movie folders. The issue is that CoverArt dresses the Batman Anthology and Dark Knight Collections correctly (as a fan)...but the parent Collection (Batman Collection) gets a clearcase treatment (with the blu-ray spine). I do not have that treatment selected anywhere in the CoverArt settings. My guess is that it does not recognize the nested folders correctly...but maybe there is a setting somewhere that I am missing? Here's what the folder structure looks like. The "Batman Collection" level does not get the "fan" treatment...the ones below that do. Thanks.

Hi, after the last server update I can not see my metadata anymore, only "chapters" to each movie. The movie counter showed around 370 now it showing 766 :S I've added a picture to describe my problem better. (attached file) *** This happens in MBT and Web ***** Also, if I go to "collection" and choose ex "blu-ray" then all the movies are shown properly. What is wrong? **EDIT** Okey, it's looks like it something to do with the way the server handles naming. MBT should ignore the "#". MBC is working fine, and so is the WEB-version if I choose a letter from A-Z and not the first "#". (as shown in the picture) MBT is showing all the movies correctly, but i need to scroll trough all the "chapters first" before it finds the movies from A-Z. I think this is the problem, and it is now more related to MBT.

How do I deal with adding a folder to a collection that has mixed content (both TV and Movies)? Since I have to select collection type it seems impossible, or am I missing something? My ultimate goal is to have a menu item on the MB Classic Home Page for "Documentaries" for instance, but have it contain both TV and Movie documentaries. I'm willing to change my file structure if needed. Thanks.

I noticed tonight that my TV series have started showing seasons and episodes that I do not have in my collection. One example is Duck Dynasty. I have season 1 only. But it shows 1-4 and when I try to play one It states it is not in my collection. Why is it doing this and how do I turn it off. Thanks in advance.
