  1. For several days I have been seeing some odd behavior with the guide data. In the web UI, in Live TV when I select a channel from the "Channels" tab (or link at the top) to look for a movie or program to record the guide info is not matching (totally incorrect - not even close) what I am seeing in WMC or what I am seeing when I select the "Guide" tab (or link at the top) and then choose the date I want to look at from the drop-down menu and then use arrows to find the correct channel and time (this method will give the correct info and is how I am currently working around the problem). It seems to be consistent across all channels In that the "Channels" tab in Live TV gives incorrect data and selecting "Guide" then date and using arrow keys provides correct data. Also am noting that the number of days of guide data listed for each channel (when using the Live TV "Channels" tab is also in consistent some are 6 days, some 8 days etc (all of it incorrect) but none are listing 14 days using this method even though the correct data is available. On the plus side it appears as though everything series wise I have added as well as those movies I choose to record are appearing in the schedule and recordings are taking place - so that part is working and I am LOVE LOVE LOVING it!. I am not sure if attaching the logs will be of any use to you but I have done so. If there is any other info I can provide I am happy to do so. This is Version 3.0.7100.0. Using Chrome Version 52.0.2743.116 m(can't seem to get it to work with Firefox) on Windows 7 Pro SP1+ x64. I am not certain how long this has been happening, for at least several days that I am aware of. 2. On iPhone I can't select descending sort order due to radio button goes out of screen and list is not scrollable (see attached screenshot) Steps to reproduce: 1) Run Emby on iPhone 2) Go to Movies section 3) Click on AZ sort link 4) Observe sorting options list Actual result: can't scroll list and some options are not accessible (e.g. descending sort order) Expected result:it is possible to scroll list (e.g. same as scrolling on Filters options list) Possibly this problem occurs only on UI with non-english languages (Russian in my case) Tested on: iPhone 6, iOS 9.3.1 (latest) Emby for iOS 1.1.7 (latest)

  4. After resolving problem from this thread - http://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/35674-stuck-on-compressing-db-log-file-snippet/ I faced similar one. Each time when I start Kodi after Emby server got new movie(s) then sync process hangs with message about updating library with new movie(s) but actually they don't appear in Kodi library. Kodi or PC restart does not help. Only force re-sync helps. Collections View

I just updated to 3.0.5912.0 and the Collections view is broken again. This happened on an older version where my users would be able to see ALL collections, even those in libraries they did not have access to. For example, all users on my system are able to see all collections on my server - Movies, Shows, and Adult. The solution has been to lower the allowed parental rating to sub-XXX as those collections have that rating, but on the flip side the "Adult" user can see all of the regular movie collections which are in libraries that user does not have access to. I am running MBServer on Server 2008R2.

    Another possible bug in v.111

Thanks for the update today and the couple new features you pointed out to me @@7illusions. In the couple minutes I played with the app I did notice one thing thats a bit off. On the home page, the recent items at the top that scroll through banner images. If you scroll too quickly through it you start seeing the same banners showing up. The text changes but the image will just cycle through images it has already shown. If you slow down and wait for it to catch up it seems to fix itself.
  7. Hi. New version of Emby Server problem in user registration. Everything works fine, except when trying to edit the user profile. It leads to the login screen and does not allow the administrator to change anything in the profile.
  8. Over the last couple of months, as I've sporadically upgraded emby, I've noticed some content streaming issues via DLNA to my KDL-42W670A. I've had these in the past but was extremely happy with how comprehensive emby was before now. Until Jan 1st I don't think I'd ever actually had something streamed by emby give me an Unsupported content warning. The most understandable is when something will stream, gives the warning, but then audio or video wont work... but extremely confusingly and somewhat telling that something is set wrong in the profile, I have a complete show that plays fine, Audio works, Video works... but displays the unsupported content warning over the top of the show that is playing fine!? I'm happy to dig in and begin tweaking the profile to try and find the source of the issue, but I'm not sure what the best way to begin debugging this issue is. I'm not even sure how I can confirm which profile emby is using to stream to the TV and that the issue isnt emby mistakenly using too new of a profile, one that might be meant for newer sony bravia tvs. Sony's website is frankly useless for this sort of info. I checked the codec support and the show that plays audio and video fine but with the unsupported content warning over the top is using the supported codecs, creating further confusion as to how to get to the bottom of this DLNA issue. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Tunein plugin has no sound

I have been using Emby without any problems for the last 6 months. It is a great product. I am currently having an issue with the TuneIn radio plugin. I installed it, but no audio will play. All the images and things download and look good, but when I click play I get an error in my web console. I have tried several different radio stations with no luck. I also checked the TuneIn site and it worked fine. I am using the browser and have tried it on Firefox and Chrome. Attached are my server logs and the console log from Chrome. Emby version: 3.0.5984.0 stable TuneIn version: 1.0.5810.30121 Firefox and Chrome are both up to date Thank you in advance for the help! emby.home.lan-1467649093679.log server-63603226353.txt transcode-5b2f1756-8476-4409-98e4-e6ea3eedd0c5.txt
  12. Emby Theater 2.4.5 Bugs: When changing view to “Albums” Things look un organized but using the web it is perfect as I use Album> A-Z. Emby Roku: Doesn’t store password and this is a severe headache to have to re-enter it all the time. Emby v3.0.5972.0 Server: The ability to disable Public HTTP as I only wanted SSL connections available, even if it means it cause some apps and services not to function but I haven’t found anything that I use affected. DLNA doesn’t work properly when it comes to populating all the movies for the Roku 3 and Roku 4. The Movies are in MP4 with either H.264 or H.265 (Yes, all of them) However, my 20 dollar copy of Mezzmo populates all the movies with art and synopsis for each correctly. DLNA needs ability to customized folders which also includes being able to delete unwanted folders, such as “Recent” and the other unwanted folders. DLNA needs to be able to have its own folders not viewable from login accounts. Why?, Because what I stream via the internet are a lower bitrate due to bandwidth restrictions and file support from what is available on my local network. Example if I wanted to stream a 40mbps h.265 on my local network to a tv in my house for the best picture possible that is fine but that’s not realistic to stream via the internet so being able to hide files that cannot be used otherwise is simply a good idea and makes the software look and feel more professional. I don’t need to see something I can’t use, in other words. BTW Thanks for making great software but please fix the issues listed above. A premiere lifetime supporter.

    Error App: Error in TheMovieDb

Recently films haven't been scraping film description, plot, short outline, outline, or people. Refresh, even with tMDB ID doesn't update the film view on the web interface or the .nfo file. Image search is also slower and there seem to be fewer results than usual. I primarily use The Movie DB. I've attached some logs relating to the issue. It shows errors with The Movie DB and fanart.tv. Not sure if their API changed, or if something broke on my end. I didn't see anyone else having this issue with The Movie DB either. themoviedb_error.txt

    Streaming problem to PS4

Hi This is my first post, i love Emby and hope to upgrade in the future. I have stumbled across a weird problem, when i try to play a video on my PS4, most of the videos play except sometimes certain videos fail straight away. i got the following error in my log last night 2016-06-02 21:40:51.5992 Info HttpServer: HTTP Response 200 to 192.168.0.7. Any advice? Thanks [edit] a little search seemed to result in other posts that had been fixed in older releases. [edit 2] it plays through web player on windows fine [edit 3] converting the video to mkv made it work :S
  16. Hi, My kodi updated yesterday, and since then I can't do database updates on emby anymore. I've tried reinstalling the addon, and reset kodi to defaults, but nothing works. I attach my kodi logfile for reference. Any help would be most appreciated. Thanks kodi.log
  17. From the emby webclient, i'm not able to mark an entire series as watched However, I can still mark individual episodes as watched from the webclient and it will stick. But, on Emby for Kodi (on android) it does allow me to mark an entire series as watched and it will update on the webclient. (Tested this using multiple shows) (Can from Kodi, can't from webclient)

    bug: User name contains "&"

i have two users set up on my server with "&" in the user name; e.g. username = Joe & Jim. when selecting a user to log in using the new Emby Theatre client on Win10, the username is truncated at the ampersand. so the username field to log in is populated with "Joe " instead of "Joe & Jim". editing the username field to add the "& Jim" allows me to log in correctly.
  19. I've been trying to purge an issue with otherwise inexplicable database errors for the last few days since the last update. I have removed all libraries and isolated the issue to my TV shows. But diagnosing it further is proving troublesome since there is no information on what files were being worked on when the error occurred. 2016-02-20 18:26:13.8343 Error App: Error in Nfo *** Error Report *** Version: 3.0.5871.0 Command line: /usr/lib/emby-server/bin/MediaBrowser.Server.Mono.exe -programdata /var/lib/emby-server -restartpath /usr/lib/emby-server/restart.sh Operating system: Unix 3.13.0.27 Processor count: 8 64-Bit OS: True 64-Bit Process: True Program data path: /var/lib/emby-server Mono: 4.0.3 (Stable 4.0.3.20/d6946b4 Thu Aug 13 12:46:26 UTC 2015) Application Path: /usr/lib/emby-server/bin/MediaBrowser.Server.Mono.exe Text node cannot appear in this state. "Seen" not working for TV Show Seasons

I am unable to set a TV season as "seen." I can click the check mark, it turns red -- but it doesn't persist and it doesn't mark the episodes in the season as seen. This does however work for making a TV series or an individual episode as "seen"
  21. I have changed system.xml and set <DenyIFrameEmbedding>false</DenyIFrameEmbedding> but I am still seeing the error refused to display in a frame because it set 'X-Frame-Options' to 'SAMEORIGIN'. Can anyone verify if this is working for them or not? Was there a code change recently that might of affected this? Metadata images have wrong filename

Hello, I have been using emby for quite a while now, and again, a really annoying bug occured. I just realized, that somewhere on the road my emby server started to store ALL png-files that are metadata files with the wrong filename. For example, cdart.png is cdart..png. Therefore, the skin I use never finds those images. Same goes for logo.png. I have 3.0.5818.0 on Ubuntun 15.10. Seriously, such a bug in a "stable" release? Are you kidding me? All over the community, people are more and more complaining about the emby server being buggy. You should definitely consider doing something about your release cycles and try to get some improvement of the quality of your releases instead of starting to charge people for services. Just my 2 cents.

    Insufficiently Unique Recording Filenames

While attempting to record the NFL playoff games this weekend, it has come to my attention that Emby doesn't sufficiently differentiate the file names for the saved ts stream. The first game of the day is replaced by the second game, and both entries then point at the same file (NFL Football 2016-01-10.ts). The filenames should include some kind of UUID (universally unique identifier), or at least a timestamp+channel, to prevent situations like this. I've attached a log for the relevant time period. Log.zip
  24. I'm having a bug with video stopping after the first video ends in a playlist. When the first video ends it pops out of the video screen and back to the list of videos, it seems like the video keeps playing but only audio is working so I'm not sure what's going on. I am choosing the play all option so its not that I have only clicked on the first video. Is anyone else getting this problem?
  25. Tested on Chrome and FF. 1. Login with User A 2. Close Tab 3. Login with User B 4. Homescreen of User A is shown I can imagine it's meant like that by dev team, but I see problems with parental controls. I created an own user for my son. Even when he tries to login by clicking on his account, he gets my Homeview with all the fancy horror zombie apocalyptic stuff, if I just closed tab before instead of logout. Can it be implemented, that the user session ends when the tab is closed? Log says, the right user is connected, but in Browser it's not.
