Since now i was using media browser in opera browser but now I have some videos with internal subtitles and I can't get them working. I installed and configured LAV-filters and xy-vsfilters but it didn't work. I thought I try media browser theater but the video is stuttering extremely, you can't watch anything like this. VLC is working fine and also has no problem with the internal subtitles so I thought I could add VLC as an external player for mkv files but when I start a video VLC starts and gives me an error that it can't find the video in this location. That's because MB server is running on another machine and MBT gives VLC the path that would work on the server, but obviously on the machine that runs MBT there is no video file in this location. Did I miss anything or does VLC as external player work only if you either run it on the same machine as the server or create network drives that match the paths on the server?

Hello everyone. First of all, special kudos to the MB team, this is outstanding work ! MBC has been adopted by the whole family and everyone loves it Now onto my question. I use MBC, on windows 7 64bits. I've configured MBC (through the MB configurator) to use an external player, VLC 2. Everything works fine, I can play, pause and stop movies with my MCE remote with no issue. However, I would like to know how to map other remote keys to functions in VLC, especially : * Toggle sound tracks * Toggle subtitile tracks * Other speed for fastforward (>>| is already configured for 30sec jumps, I would like to configure >> for 5 sec jumps for instance). I suspect MBC already remapped some keys (>>| jumps 30sec when VLC is launched through Mediabrowser, but skips to the next item in the playlist when VLC is launched independently from the desktop). Is there a config file in MB that I can edit to alter this behavior, or shall I have to use EventGhost to achieve this ? Thanks for your input, and have a nice day !

Not exactly a question about mb3 but I hope you can help me anyway. I try to setup VLC 2.1 as external player but I have problems with mkv files over my network. VLC starts and instantly quits. I found out that there are problems with mkv files in VLC. When I try to start the video directly in VLC I get the following error message: "VLC can not open the file %path_to_mkv% (bad file description" and "VLC can not open the MRL %path_to_mkv%. See details in the error log" (Translated from German) This error only occurs with mkv files. Looks like there are some issues with user rights or something, but I can play avi files. Also I can play the avi files when I copy them to my local hard drive. Anyone knows what I can do to fix this?
