Hello. Movie playback does not start from the beginning and transport commands (skip forward, skip backwards) often do not work. For example, I can start movie playback and it may start ~10 minutes into the movie. If I try to skip backwards (to beginning) it will only go back to where the movie originally started (10 minutes in). Also, clicking on the movie progress bar (not sure what it is called) to adjust where I want to move to in the movie playback seems goofy. Does not appear to work or does not indicate actual position in the movie. Can not seem to get this figured out and not seeing similar issues when I search the forum. I have used Media Browser with Windows Media Center Edition for years and it has been great. Moved to Emby Theater and became supporter... My library consists of VOBs (all ripped using DVDFab Main Movie feature). This library method worked great for Media Browser but have been unable to get proper playback with Emby Theater. Anyone else with similar issues? Thanks Dan

I'm finding it very irritating when I want to skip chapters. If I have just resumed, or just ffwd/rwd, I have to wait until the osd fades away to press the right/left arrow. I very much appreciate the ability to now use CTRL+SHIFT+f and CTRL+SHIFT+b for ffwd and rwd, is there any way we can add maybe "f" and "b" as standard chapter skip buttons? Or some other combination of buttons?

I recently (today) upgraded from Media Browser 2 to 3. I really like the new player interface, but I can't skip forward 30 sec, or jump to the middle of a movie like I used to be able to. Most of my movies are mkv (h264) make with handbrake. I thought it didn't work at all until I tried playing an AVI movie I ripped. The AVI worked just as the usage guide describes. I saw a post the mentioned maybe the 5.1 is the cause? I tried: MKV w/2ch AC-3 audio Fails MKV w/2ch mp3 audio Fails MKV w/6ch AC-3 audio Fails Is this a known issue? Is there a fix in progress? Other notes: Resume does not even show up if you stop playback Clicking on a chapter always restarts the movie. This happens on 2 different client PCs (windows 7) Thanks, Michael

Skip Fwd controlling external player and MBC at the same time
AdrianW posted a topic in Windows Media Center
In the MBC when at the details page of a movie, the skip forward and backward buttons move through the collection of movies one at a time (same for episodes of a TV show). I have MPC-HC setup as an external player - if I'm playing a movie and use the skip button a couple of times (on my remote), when I exit back to MBC I've been moved the same number of times through my collection. I've tried this with both Chocolate and Square with the same results. -
Hey, I now have pause and stop working, but I can't seem to skip or ffw/rwd from either the web client or Windows Phone Client. I'm testing this on the Samsung B series using server version 3.0.5188.21314. I think I've found the relevant part of the log: Server Log

Version: 1.1.1.6 Surface Pro 2, Windows 8.1 Pro Each and every time I click somewhere on the progress bar during video playback the app force closes. No error - it just closes. I've emailed requesting a refund because it's unfit for purpose and I was directed to this forum where I have to work for an answer to a problem with a product I paid hard earned money for. Thanks for advance for your advice.
