  1. I just released a completely reworked channel plugin for SoundCloud! If you are interested in testing: Download the plugin dll from here: https://github.com/softworkz/Emby.Channels/releases/tag/Beta1 Update: The new plugin version is now available via the catalog! Restart Emby In Server Adminisration, go to the Plugins page, find the SoundCloud plugin and open the settings Enter you credentials for SoundCloud (without credentials you will see some general content in the channel, but for the real experience you need to provide your login data for SoundCloud). Go to the Emby home page, choose "Channels" and start exploring your SoundCloud content The plugin should work with any of these latest versions of Emby Stable: 3.0.5984 Beta: 3.1.54-beta Dev: 3.1.6027.30179-dev Please post your feedback here!
  2. Personal fixes been tracking past few years and re-hitting now with setting up new FreeNAS 11. with Emby PlugIn 3.2.60.0 and thought I share each in posts. Hope they help community Iss.02 - FreeNAS hosted Emby plugin - Can't access web configuration FreeNAS is installed in Virtualbox v5.1.xx and Emby 3.2.60.0 plugin installed. plugin do not install

I am not able to install plugins. The page just keeps loading.
  4. Another idea/request for the nifty Trailers Plugin. This one's probably a bit more involved (potentially a lot more involved). It would be really useful if each of the three views (New and Upcoming in Theaters, New and Upcoming on DVD/Blu-ray, New and Upcoming on Netflix) would default to displaying trailers by whatever the most relevant date is for that view (eg, movie release date, DVD/Blu-ray release date, date coming to Netflix). And it would be even more useful if that information could be displayed on the detail screen somehow, and also perhaps have some visual date markers in the horizontal scrolling view within Emby Theater (Windows Desktop). The visual date markers in the horizontal scrolling view could be as simple as a vertical dividing line separating months (and a text indicator of which month was on which side of the line). I am guessing that the biggest challenge with the above would be getting access (in a programmatic way) to the necessary date information. But, I figure it doesn't hurt to put the idea out there. Thanks for considering my request!
  5. There is a great Plugin on Plex for the NFL Gamepass live streams and game rewind features for the NFL GamePass Subscribers. I love this plugin for Plex but would love to tie it in to my Emby setup so I can only use one of them! Please let me know what this would take and if it's doable! Here's a link to the GitHub page for this plugin! https://github.com/41john/NFL.bundle Thanks a lot!

    Unable to get Podcast Feed

I am unable to successfully add the following podcast urls to the Emby Podcast plugin. http://www.thebrewingnetwork.com/sundayshow.xml http://www.thebrewingnetwork.com/jamilshow.xml http://www.thebrewingnetwork.com/sourhour.xml http://www.thebrewingnetwork.com/drhomebrew.xml http://www.thebrewingnetwork.com/brewstrong.xml All 5 podcasts give the error message in the log that I attached. I have been able to successfully add these podcasts to other media programs (Subsonic) and wanted to try the podcast feature to try to remove some software running on my computer. Thanks EmbyLog.txt

New Plugin: TV Maze Metadata Provider

Hi, this is a new metadata provider plugin for Emby, supporting TV Series, Seasons and Episodes as well as Season-Images. The data is retrieved from http://www.tvmaze.com/ The plugin should operate pretty stable, I've been running the code for a few months now without problems. But what's the benefit, now? Well, you got to make your own decision about how useful that additional data could be for you! Metadata handling in Emby is not a very transparent process. To compare the different metadata retrieved by the installed providers, it's probably best to use the Metadata Viewer Plugin (http://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/32984-new-plugin-metadata-viewer/). After installing, you need to check your metadata settings for Series, Seasons and Episodes. You should choose the priorities based on your experience from comparing metadata results as described in the previous paragraph. If you're already satisfied with your current metadata retrieval or just don't want to make a significant change at this time, I recommend the following: Disable TV Maze for Series and Episodes (Emby already comes with 3 built-in providers for those) But enable TV Maze for Seasons (and Season images): The reason: Currently, there's only one provider for Season data and there are many cases where TV Maze has some season descriptions when the other (MovieDb) doesn't Download: https://github.com/softworkz/Emby.Plugins/releases/tag/TvMazeBeta1

    Not install plugin Anime

debian 8 Version: 3.2.5.0 Not install plugin Anime errors for logs in attach Error.media.txt
  9. Solution: Grab from plugin catalog, since the latest changes have been published. The plugin does not automatically identify any series. The plugin successfully fetches the animetitles.xml, and the anime-list.xml, and also fetches the series from anidb.net and places it into the cache/anidb/series/{aid} folder on scan/identify by name/aid. However it never identifies the series! 1. Create folder called "Strike the Blood" 2. Scan library 3. Check for "cache\anidb\series\9772" 4. Open the library and you will see it has not identified the series, but it has all the required information. 5. Manually identify with AniDB Id "9772" and you will get no results. (If you use the name to identify it the results are not for anidb and you will not have an anidb.net source under the name) Note: If you identify by name/aid the aid will get fetched and placed into the cache/anidb/series/{aid} folder but it will not be in the identify results. Other Issue: The plugin is not listed under my plugins where you could configure it in like MB2. Create any series from http://anidb.net/api/animetitles.xml and try for yourself. Emby Version 3.2.5.0 - Windows & FreeBSD Tested Line 51: it could be trying to read animetitles.xml/titles.xml but im not sure. Line 642, 964, 1001: Automatic identification of the series "Danganronpa" Failed Line 1042, 1083: Automatic identification of the series "gargantia" Failed Line 1125, 1166: Automatic identification of the series "hal" Failed ... more series tests in other logs 03-01-2017_EmbyAnimeError.txt

    TVShows season-01 numbering invalid

Hi maybe someone know how to solve this issue. But since a update end last year i got some strange issues with the numbering of the season-01 of all TVShows. Season 1 always has the number of the total seasons there are. See the attached screenshots. I already reinstalled everything many times now. But iam not the only one who has the issue i know 2 more users with exactly the same issue.
  12. Hi guys! Just bought some philips hue lights (still waiting for them to arrive), and then I got this thing in my head: What if MB3 could controll these lights and make them change color based on the backdrops (picks 2-4 points in the picture to reproduce that color, like the philips app does) Automatically dims the lights off when a movie start, and turn them back on when the movie is finished. (when externalplayer closes / when MBT stops playing). This would be super cool, and would fit MB3 very good! There is also alot more we could do with this, with pre defined scenes etc.. What do you guys think?
  13. Happy to say that after a full night and day of writing and testing with fellow community members, the Vera plugin has returned to the catalog with full UI5 and UI7 compatibility.
  14. I'm sure there are a few users out there using Emby and unRAID and wanted to see what others are doing. At this time, I'm running Emby and unRAID on separate boxes. The hardware I have for unRAID works good as a storage server, low cpu use, lots of drives, my Emby server (Windows), is more powerful, but less drive expansion at this time. At this time, I'm not interested in building up a new unRAID box and installing Emby via Docker. The problem I'm seeing is inconsistent playback, library management that I'm most likely contributing the unRAID spinning down the disks when not being used. I have a HDHomerun and plan on setting up the DVR portion of Emby shortly. So I'm just looking for some tips from those of you with both Emby and unRAID on separate boxes, are you keeping your disks spinning all the time, are there some plugins I should be looking at to help the media, do I need to move my meta data somewhere else? Thanks, Josh
  15. The Trailers Plugin is pretty nifty. However, I wish that I could prevent Trailers from being displayed in the "More Like This" section of Emby Theater (Windows Desktop). I prefer to just keep all the Trailers in the Trailers section. Thanks for considering my request!
  16. This post (https://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/35769-resume-is-not-working-with-mpc-hc-in-mbt/) got me thinking about VLC (my preferred player). I've already posted a Feature Request for a manual entry option (https://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/43209-fr-option-for-external-players-to-prompt-for-stop-time/), which the good Emby folks hope to add in the future. But I have an idea for how we could partially automate this via a plugin, for users using VLC in particular. VLC has a HTTP Interface which can enable us to find out Duration (ie, total time of the currently playing item) and Elapsed time (ie, how much has been already played). I will paste an example of the XML output at the bottom of this post. We should be able to easily parse the <time> node to get the Elapsed time, and the <length> node to get the duration (both appear to be in Seconds). And then if that data has been stored in Emby for a given item, we can use the VLC Command Line --start-time=seconds to launch VLC, telling VLC to go to that point in the video. A significant caveat though is that if the user is using VLC to play a full DVD rip VIDEO_TS folder (which I am a big fan of, for the DVD menu support), then --start-time is likely to not produce the desired results (because DVD's vary in how they're authored, and so the time won't get applied to correct portion of the DVD. I think that in most cases it won't actually hurt anything, and perhaps in some cases the desired result will be achieved. But my thinking is that when clicking Play, ET can display some sort of message along the lines of "You stopped your video at ~34 minutes (out of 1 hour and 55 minutes total run time). Emby will attempt to resume at your stopping point, but you may have to manually go to the 34 minute mark (depending on the media format)." And then the user would click "Proceed" and VLC would launch. This way, they know where to fast forward (or jump ahead via chapters) if they're using a format (eg, VIDEO_TS folder rips) that doesn't lend itself to easy resuming. I am also exploring if there is any way to get the DVD "title" currently being played (note, this is not the movie title, but "title" as referring to the section within the DVD structure), but I'm not optimistic about being able to access that. If that is accessible, however, then it would actually be possible to construct a command line to resume the ripped DVD at the correct position, which would be rather nifty. I am a alright programmer (I work mostly with HTML, JavaScript, PHP, CSS/SCSS, and a little VBA and other assorted Windows-centric languages), but am brand new to Emby. If the above proposed plugin interests folks, is anyone interested in collaborating on bringing this about? I could likely handle any JavaScript-related elements of pulling the data from VLC (via the VLC HTTP Interface) and parsing the XML data, but I don't know anything (yet) about how to get that into the appropriate places within Emby so that Emby is storing the data. As a side note, I figure we'll poll the XML page periodically (eg, every 60 seconds, perhaps?), and I have some additional thoughts on underlying logic for how to do things (eg, we'll want to handle the fact that a VIDEO_TS DVD folder can have multiple "titles"/videos and so be careful we don't overwrite our Elapsed Time when the user is just in the DVD menu or something -- perhaps we'd prompt the user after they exit VLC as to whether they want to update their Resume Position with the new data or keep the old data [which we could display for comparison]?). Thoughts? <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8" standalone="yes" ?> <root> <fullscreen>false</fullscreen> <aspectratio>default</aspectratio> <audiodelay>0</audiodelay> <apiversion>3</apiversion> 17. Hi everyone, Just curious if anyone knows of a plugin or a way to hide certain folders at the home screen. I like / need the folders view. If there's a way to drop a user into that on home screen that would be ideal. And then if there was a way to hide the collections group then I'd have the setup I'm after. I have a folder with a whole bunch of kids shows and viewing it in folder mode things look beautiful. Unfortunately when the kids login to emby they get to the home screen and don't realize they should click the folders button. They just click on the kids shows media folder and then it just looks like an unorganized mess and they don't want to use it. If there was a way I could setup a macro or something so that when my kid's user ID logs in it takes them to the folders view immediately that's what I'm after. If anyone can think of way to accomplish something like that I'd love to hear your ideas.

    CoverArt 4.0 problems

CoverArt 4.0 isn't working with Emby Server Version 3.0.8500.0 and Emby app. It partially works, converting some of the library, but leaving many images, including all collections, without coverart. It also slows down navigation, sometimes completely preventing accessing libraries. Uninstalling the plug-in fixes the problem. I reinstalled the plug-in and let it run all night, about 16 hours now, and it hasn't improved behavior or finished fully populating the library artwork. I have the plug-in at default configuration; perhaps it needs needs days to process a full library of music and movies? This is on a (6th gen) Core i5 Windows PC with 8GB RAM. The OS and Emby applications are isntalled on a 500GB SSD and the library is on conventional spinny drives run in RAID with DrivePool and SnapRaid.
  19. I've just purchased a HDHomeRun Connect and having issues getting all channels recognised in Emby, If I use the HDHomeRun app on my Shield TV or the HDHomeRun plugin in Kodi, then all the channels show up, including the channel icons. I have checked the server log after re-running the Guide Refresh and there are no errors, it's just not fetching everything. Anyone got UK OTA channels to show correctly in Emby please ??
  20. About a week ago I uninstalled the Auto Boxset plugin. Since then other plugins have disappeared and even if I reinstall them, they wont appear for use. One of these plugins is the backup plugin. This means I haven't backed up since and I can't even restore from a previous back up as it wont appear after install to use. Any idea why this would be? I get confirmation messages of successful installation and asked to restart, but nothing appears.

    XML Saver Plugin

Hello, I know I'm probably missing something extremely simple here but where is the XML Saver plugin? I remember it was there but I don't see it anymore. Thanks Josh

    Removing Trailer Plugin

I am running Emby Version 3.0.7200.0. I installed the Trailer Plugin but realized it wasn't very usefully unless I was an Emby Premier subscriber. I' tried to uninstall the plugin and restart, but it's still there. Is there a way to manually delete it?? Please help! Thank You! Emby Log.txt
  24. So I installed the Roku Server Plugin a while back, it's been running long enough to create BIF files for my entire library. However, whenever the scheduled task runs, after it terminates it leaves behind zombie ffmpeg processes that as far as I can tell will run forever consuming cpu time. This has been a consistent and repeatable issue. As I said, the entire library already has BIF files generated (or at least the scheduled task progress bar disappears after a few minutes).
  25. I am missing the folder images on my EHS for the Podcasts plugin. http://i.imgur.com/KC3VocT.jpg The RSS feed is working fine, and it is pulling down the metadata for episode info and screenshots, but this missing folder image on the EHS is doing my head in. http://i.imgur.com/4xpHri0.jpg Any suggestions on where to place a folder.jpg file or how to edit a config to solve this? Cheers
