Hello, I created playlists into Emby server, but they are not visible in Kodi playlists. I did local database reset but it didn't help. Is this feature supported by Emby for Kodi addon ?

Hello, I have just refreshed my server OS and emby, I have used backup and everything seems to have gone quite well. Just to report the small problems with the restore, The homescreen settings haven't copied over Playlists haven't copied into the profile, they are there in the cache but not on my user profile. Is there any way that I can import playlists, and would it possible in future to share playlists with other users, would be a great little feature.

I wanted to ask if I am missing anything or if there are any updates coming to address the issue I am having with my music folder structure. I have several artists in my library. It is rare you will see a ton of songs from one artist. So I created mood (playlists) folders. This works great for me, as I can just play the folder according to my mood. The challenge I am having is it creates havoc with the server naming convention. The server will grab the first artist from the folder and group the entire folder under the name of that artist album. Instead of redoing my entire library and manually maintaining playlists, is there anything I am missing or any updates that will help this in the future? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, I love MB and use it daily for live TV and recording shows. I was hoping MB would also make using separate bubbleupnp/twonky music servers redundant. Unfortunately, that is not possible yet as MB lacks certain options (or maybe I am lacking understanding which is why I am posting). My current music collection is organized by genres. Each song also has a rating. I also use a media player ( WMP,winamp, Music Bee etc) to create a dynamic playlist based on ratings, recently played, and so on. These are my three main ways of finding and playing music. It seems with MB i can only use the genre category because MB doesn't see the rating tag and neither does it recognize playlists from other players. MB does have something called "favorites" for songs but I can't seem to figure out how to add or remove songs from that list. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Mark

I am running Server 3.0.5464.40000 on Windows 8.1 and after last update, or the one before, I am unable to create new playlists. It's running as a service on Windows, not as an application. I have tried running the service as the local user instead of "local system" with no avail. When I browse movies through the web interface, I right click add to playlist. I choose new playlist, name it something and save it. It brings me to the playlist screen showing the one movie I added. I go back to browsing and add another movie, but the playlist doesn't show. I add a new playlist, name it the same thing, see the solo movie like before. If i hit refresh in the browser or click on Playlists at the top I get the message "Playlists allow you to create lists of content to play consecutively at a time. To add items to playlists, right click or tap and hold, then select Add to Playlist." and it doesn't show any playlists. Repeat the above two more times just (for S&Gs) and when I browse "AppData\Roaming\MediaBrowser-Server\data\playlists" i see: Test [playlist] Test [playlist]1 Test [playlist]11 Test [playlist]111 If you look at the playlist.xml file in each, it has the correct movie I added, but MBS doesn't show them in the web interface. I can see some "things" in the log file: 2015-01-06 15:54:36.4659 Debug - LibraryMonitor: Changed detected of type Created to C:\Users\{redacted1}\AppData\Roaming\MediaBrowser-Server\data\playlists\test [playlist] 2015-01-06 15:54:36.4659 Debug - Music and Music video (again, sorry about this) and Playlists
jamvids posted a topic in General/Windows
Hi, this maybe a feature request but was wondering what other people thoughts are on these subjects. First of all playlists, Would it be possible for a resume feature? Instead of the playlist builder coming in from the side, maybe a drop down box at the top of the browser which will remember the playlist you are working on until the browser is refreshed, then the add to playlist function is just one click per item instead of 4 or 5. A Jumble feature, i.e. when you have finished messing with your playlist, press Jumble and it will randomly re-order the list. Sort by artist so you can get rid of any duplicates in a list Some way of re-ordering manually. Music - Songs A song is just 2 pieces of information, Title and Artist, and you may have one song 10 times in a collection and this information never changes, so was wondering if, A "song" can be grouped, so if i like it or make it favorite it will do it to all instances of that song, as well as play counts being the same too. When you open a song in the browser it will tell you what albums it is on and if there is a local music video for it. which brings me to the subject no one wants to entertain, music vids, I know there isn't databases for them but there is always a simple way around things (what an assumption). I actually have a very accurate database of music on my server P.C., it's called media browser, and i only want things linking that are there, is there any way you can use the information at hand just to tidy this part up, all of the artist art is there ready to be used. No nobby online database needed, just two pieces of information, Title and Artist. Easy!!!- 1 reply

I have the collapse movies from collections option on in MBC. If I add 1 item that belongs to a collection to my playlist that item gets listed as my collection instead with all the contents inside for MBC thus not respecting the playlist items. Confirmed in Chocolate and Square. Server with group movies into collections user preference on and the playlists with items from collection is displayed correctly.

Great to see Playlist now on MBC but getting 'Invalid Application' and MBC Crashes. All ok on the server. In MBT I can play each song individually but not the Playlist itself. MBC is the one I am most wanting to work. And a question: Is there a way to load already created playlists? Log attached: MBC.txt

Checking out the new features in the server, and I've been unable to figure out how to get to the selection tool. Am I jumping the gun on this, or have I missed something obvious?
