Hello, As you can see in the screenshots below, something goes wrong with the ID3 tags when browsing the Emby server using UPnP/DLNA. The song artists are interpreted as album artists, and for the songs some ID3 tags are missing. The tags are correct on the server though. Thanks in advance!

Hi! As the title says I'm missing some chapter images after I have extracted them with the option in server settings. I don't know if it's file specific but some files have all images showing and some have only a few. The strange thing is that none of the movies as what I have seen have zero images. There are always at least one image extracted. So it seams that the extraction is working as it should but for some reason not all of the images are showing. I attached an image so you can see what I mean. I'm new to Emby so I don't know all the tricks yet but find it strange. But maybe there is a way that I can't find to just re-scan the images for the movies that are missing images or maybe for each chapter that are missing images? I'm using Emby Server 3.2.26.0 on two Synology DS412+ that have the server on one and can read files from both with shared folders. So you know what I'm using. I have searched the forum and on google to find an answer before posting but can't find what I'm looking for. I hope you can help me fix this problem. Thanks in advance!

Ok, this a weird one. I was doing some house cleaning on my server and went to the report tab to see in I was missing any episodes. (I do this once a month to see if maybe I missed a recording some how, it's happened) I noticed that I had a more than a few. Like 10-20. I was like huh? So I stat looking into them to see what they are and when they aired and all but 1 were for episodes that haven't even aired yet. How can they be missing if they haven't aired. My first thought was I had ticked the box that inculcated missing episode be displayed some how. It wasn't. It's not a huge deal but can I some how remove these from the report? Thanks guys.

Hi, Before I was using Emby, when I'd use Kore to control Kodi, if something was playing, the Kore app on my android device would show the backdrop, poster etc within the App. Now after setting up Emby and using it within Kodi, the Kore Remote no longer shows the poster or the backdrop within the App. The cast pictures and preview image are also no longer showing in Kore. Within the folders for each TV Show/Movie on the media server I can see the folder.jpg and the backdrop.jpg and they display fine within the web access to Emby and within Kodi. My guess is that Emby is storing these media within it's own database and while these images are available via the addon in Kodi, it's not the case for the Kore app. Anyone else seen a similar thing or have any ideas what to do? I'm reluctant to change the settings in Emby to store the media within the TV folder because that will change the modify dates on the folders and ruin the order within Kodi (sorted by date modified), but if that's what I have to do, that's what I have to do. Attached are some screenshots, 2 from a computer I've not installed the Emby Addon in Kodi (Kodi1 & Kodi2) and the other (the main mediapc) has the Emby Addon installed (Emby1 & Emby2). Any idea on what I should do to resolve this? Thanks.

Hello, I've just noticed that certain seasons of my TV shows are suddenly showing as blank (both on WMC and via Browser), in that no episodes are listed. I haven't changed my folder structure, all the files are there so I can't figure out why it's happening. My folder structure is G:\TV Shows\Breaking Bad\Season 1\01X01.mp4 Breaking Bad for example looks like this for all the seasons: If I do a refresh, it restores the episodes but they disappear again a few minutes later.

Hi Everyone, I'd like to report what seems to be a glitch/bug. I've been trying to set up the camera upload section for our mobile devices and everything was going great until I tried to set a custom path for each of the devices. According to the Camera Upload WIKI, there should be a place in the Devices section that allows me specify a path for the camera upload for each of the devices, but that option does not exist. I've attached screenshots to show what my server is displaying, I can set the base path under Sync -> Camera Upload, but the device itself under the device settings does not have an option for a specific path. I am currently running version 3.1.2.0 on Windows 8.1, and my mobile devices are running Android 6 and 7 In order to make my setup work for the moment, I edited the device.json file for the devices that have the feature enabled and changed the following line: From: "CameraUploadPath":"" To: "CameraUploadPath":"Drive:/Folder/Device1" After making the changes to the files and restarting the service, I re-checked the device in the Devices tab and all I see still is the name change option and nothing else. Camera upload is working fine so far, but there is no way to edit the specific path as described in the WIKI through the server interface nor the android app.

In my library I have different libraries which were always showing at the start of Emby Theater and HTML. I keep all the collections in a separate library, all the movies without subtitles in a separate library, all the mini series in a separate library etc. etc. Now everything is thrown again into two libraries: movies and tv. Not very easy with a big library. I already found that i can switch on the show folders option. But this is more work and doesnt look as good as it used to. Do I need to go back to a previous version and stop updating? Because this seems to happen every few months. Marc

Hi everybody! I added a lot of movies to my Library this morning and few hours later noticed they weren't displaying correctly in the player. The names were the filenames and the posters were screenshots. When I looked at the folders, there was an nfo file and a poster.jpg but they were wrong - the nfo was generic and the poster was a screenshot. Turns out some changes to the network had caused Emby to lose its ability to connect to the internet, so when it tried to download the metadata it could not. I fixed the networking and Emby could again connect to the internet. I did a Library Scan. I did a metadata refresh (tried both 'missing' and 'replace all'). The affected movies metadata got updated, mostly. All the metadata was there now, including banners and logos etc, however the posters were still the screenshots that it created earlier. So... I did a dumb thing... because I had added so many movies, I decided it would be much easier to just delete ALL posters and run the metadata refresh for 'missing' metadata. That didn't work. I then tried replace all metadata, including images, but that didn't work. I added some more movies to the Library and the metadata including posters came down correctly. All previous movies still don't have posters. I ran the library scan and metadata refreshes a few more times and now I've given up. I can't see what is wrong or how to fix my mistake. My settings are Metadata - Settings: All 3 boxes are ticked here, preferred language is English and location is Australia Metadata - Services - Movies: Every tick-box on this page is ticked, including all the 'Fetch Images' ticks. Library - Display: Every tick-box on this page is ticked. Library - Advanced: No custom metadata path, no tick for hiding images P.S: When the metadata manager says it queues a refresh, is there any way to see this queue or get a progress indication? I just upgraded to 3.0.5930 and now my library is missing. Server manager shows that my library paths are all configured properly, but webUI shows nothing. Running "Scan Library" takes less than one second. The upgrade seemed to have gone fine and I don't see anything in /var/log/emby-server.log that would indicate a problem.

Hi, and Merry Christmas to you all! I run Emby Server version 3.0.5781.9, updated today. In the Photos section I have fodlers for every year, but Emby only sees a few of them. In the screenshot below you can see that Emby only shows three folders, and a file manager showing all the folders that are really there. All folders only contain subfolders and jpg files. I also attach the latest log file. Any ideas what's wrong? The Emby server runs on Linux Mint, and here it is accessed through Chrome on another Linux Mint PC. I have some other issues as well, but I'll start new threads for them. Log.txt

While testing version 590 I tried to login manually to Emby, with the manual login option. I noticed that there is no "Sign In" button so it's hard to tell if you triggered the login or not. I think I'm also facing a login problem since when I put the wrong password and press <Enter> the app will give me a message that the user or password are wrong but when I put the correct password the app is not doing anything and it's not login in either. Since there is no "Login" button I can't tell if the app is really trying to login or not unless I check the server logs. Can anyone else try to do a manual login and tell me if it's working for you? On the other hand adding a "Login" or "Sign In" buttong would not hurt I guess.

As of lately I have been having problems with posters not showing correctly during a search... example. I would type scooby and the results would show, and when i scroll down i would see alot of blank out posters. I am able to select them and play them. I amssume that it might be the browsers setting and cache. I reset browser and cleared cache and did not resolve issue, try other browser and still getting the same issue. This issue only shows in a search if i were to go into movie list i can see all movies. Server : Version 3.0.5607.1 Browser : Google Chrome / FireFox. (latest) Thank you for your attention.

Server Version 3.0.5588.1 I have selected the Display Setting to "Display missing episodes within seasons" I added an episode that was previously flagged as missing. Now both the missing episode and the added episode are shown. I waited for a day and a half in case a scheduled task (e.g., library scan) needed to update. However, the missing episode flag remains. I also "Refreshed" the season a couple of times. Still no joy. Thanks

My Samsung TV only sees 37 of 700 album artists..(The same first 37 every time) Odd thing is it has no problem seeing 100s of genres, 1000s of albums.. None of the other dlna clients on network have a problem seeing all 700. Great thing is that DLNA Browsing is by far the fastest and most responsive of all client types for music, all the views are cached and it is very quick to navigate around (helped by reduced artwork in ui no doubt) Any other Samsung users seeing more than 37 Album Artists? able to replicate this issue? thanks.

I use MediaBrowserServer-dev on a centos7 and use the repository from MediaBrowser. To make sure, I verified if sqlite is installed correctly: yum list sqlite sqlite.x86_64 3.8.2-2.1 @MediaBrowserServer-Dependancies so it is installed. Let's see if the files that it is unable to find are there: find / -name libsqlite3.so.0 /usr/lib64/libsqlite3.so.0 so the file does exist. Where is MediaBrowserServer looking for the file? Or what is going wrong?

Hi all, i have latest version of MediaBrowser (3.0.5518.7) installed on my Windows Server 2012 R2 and I have problem with playing movies with subtitles on my Samsung TV LE32D550 (not a smartTV but supports DLNA). Subtitles are missing. I used to have Synology DLNA and everything work without problem. Which button should I click to get it fixed? Thank you

I got caught out yesterday planning to watch something which showed up on my system on the Samsung and Roku clients (under series view). Turned out the show was missing but there was no obvious/immediate visual cue that the missing show was different to a present show. I am aware that there is an option to turn off missing from views but it does have its uses too. Clients do not currently have a standard for visually cueing missing (Roku and Samsung) This feature request is that the project introduces a standard for missing cues We currently have a green circle and a tick for watched episode. why not have Orange circle for episodes which are in flight/resumable (although the bar along the bottom is more informative/better..this could be useful for clients that dont show this level of detail/dont have room on screen). Red circle for episodes which are missing. thanks for considering

Hello all; I've been using MediaBrowser for a few years now, and am REALLY digging v3. Up until 2 days ago, I had several collections working, and I make frequent use of them, so I'd like to try to get them up-and running once again. I have one PC set up that acts as my media server (Media Browser Server Version 3.0.5154.1864). Sometimes I watch/listen to content on that same machine (MBC/MBT), and other times I use one of my Android devices to consume content. Regardless of which client I use however, my box sets/collections (while they still show up) are now appearing empty... despite the fact that I have made no changes to the folder structure/shortcuts used within them etc. None of my Media Libraries use the Default Library (which is not defined), but all of my user accounts have their own Media Libraries defined. Each of them has a "Box Sets" library defined (of type "Collections"). The one for "Whip" is defined with the location of "E:\Media\Video\Box Sets". I've recently added a path substitution as well: E:\MEDIA \\192.168.1.10\E$\MEDIA I found another similar topic in this forum: http://mediabrowser.tv/community/index.php?/topic/4628-one-boxset-not-showing-all-of-a-sudden/ and have tried the fix there, however that does not seem to be the fix I needed. I'm guessing that this would make the box set show up, and not its contents. I should point out however, that none of my boxsets do have that collection.xml (with the exception of the one that I created to test the other OP's resolution). Since creating that XML file, I have shut down the server, deleted my "library.db" file, and restarted the server. I also want to point out, that all of my collections are made up of shortcuts (*.lnk) that point to content that is indeed properly being recognized by Media Browser in my Movies section. Hello Version 3.0.5343.40355 Yesterday I uninstall Media browser, today I install again, but tv seasons doesn't show properly. Metadata was saved on tv folders, all images etc was saved in past. Now it looks like MB don't see images and don't issue season item. Example below. How to relink automatically all seasons in tv shows?so I will be see correctly... Second thing, from what depending that sometimes MB download to folder season01-poster.jpg and sometimes only season01-landscape.jpg(I check poster also exist to that tv shows). Regards

Greetings, So, I have a folder that houses my documentries and other non-fiction content. They are all in the same folder, it is a Mixed movies & tv folder as there are both movies and TV content in there. Now, none of these films or TV are shows are shown under the Genre views, either for Movies or Television, in the Web Viewer. Would I be correct in saying that the reason for this is due to the Folder Type being used? If so, is there a solution other than putting the content into 2 seperate folders, one for TV Shows and one for Movies, in order for the content to be listed under 'Documentary', in Genres, for example? By the way, I don't believe it an XML related issue. I double checked a number of the xml files, the Documentary genre is listed in the meta data. Cheers, Andy

I have two albums by the dB's but I can't get them to show up in the artist's folder. I checked the tags to make sure the artist information matched the albums exactly. I removed the albums from my media folder several times, removed all XML files and removed the artist from the roaming folder, ran a media scan with no dB's present in the collection, added the albums back and ran a new scan but the albums never show up in the artist folder. I also added the musicbrainz artist code to the albums so it would match the code in the artist folder. Still zip. I'm assuming this has something to do with the unusual way the band name is spelled but I'm not sure what to do to get the albums to show up. Any suggestions?

Some of the albums in my music artist folders don't show up. I click on the artist and there will be a bio and picture but it shows no albums available even though there are one or more albums in the artist folder. Sometimes when I re-do the tags with MP3 tag the album will show up--other times it makes no difference and I still can't access the music through Media Browser. Is there something specific I need to do so my music files will show up where I want and I can play them?

Hi All Have had a hunt on here for anyone else having this issue, with no luck so here goes. I have an upcoming trailers collection of locally downloaded trailers,(not collected by the any MB plugins, only using Metabrowser to collect). My issue is that this collection is no longer even visible in MBC and while the collection is visible through the MBS web client, MB theater or the android client, the individual items are not visible/playable, which makes me suspect the server is not recognising the media files, perhaps due to them only being up to 150Mb.... only a guess tho. I used to be able to see the collection and play via MBC, although I must confess I'm not sure when this changed. Hopefully some pics will help ... Server Library Config Web Client Collection view Clicking on a trailer show this.. with no playable file The MB Theater Views of the same MBC EHS Screen Web Client home screen for sort order comparison, as you can see the Upcoming trailers collection is not even visible between Movies and TV Shows where its sort order should show. With the recent improvements to audio/subtitles playback in MBT, I'm really keen to start using this as my primary media client on my HTPC's but as we often 'surf' through upcoming trailers, this is proving annoying at present, having to open MBC just to do this. Have tried server restarts and rebuilding the db cache, but neither have made a difference I'm just wondering if I've missed a minimum file size setting, or whether something changed on the server side, that no longer allows this type of collection to work??
