  1. I really hope that someone can help. I've used MB3 since about January and had no issues until a month or two ago. I use MB3 primarily to watch my movies (mp4/m4v) on the iPads via the media browser app (latest update). Previously, I had no issues watching movies both within my network and externally. Then, all of the sudden, playback stopped working on most movies and I can't figure out the cause. I have an iPad 2 (iOS7) and an iPad Mini (iOS8) and both have same issues. I am able to see the library and select the movie, but the movies just won't load. Just get the spinning wheel and sometimes I have to manually kill the app to get out of it. It doesn't happen with all movies, but it happens with most. To clarify, if a particular movie doesn't work, it never works and if a movie works, then it always works. Server (Version 3.0.5395.0) is on a Windows 7 64bit machine. If I use Safari to access the server, I am able to play all the movies fine. I am okay with doing this but that process is not so easy for the other people in the house. I've uninstalled the app and MB3 Server and started from scratch but had no luck. I love this program when it works and I really hope that someone can help me with this. Attached is the log that I think that you need. I looked at the transcoding logs (I enabled them) but it doesn't create a log when movies fail on the iPad; it doesn't get that far. server-63549186123.zip
  2. I originally posted this on 10 May 2014 - 05:45 PM. I haven't received any response from admin/developers (maybe due to upgrade over weeekend). In any case I am reposting this in the hopes that It will get a response from admin/developers. I apologize if I am just being to impatient. Using old IBN person structure. Updated person .jpg does update in movie display. The scenario is as follows: 1) IBN\People\{Actor Name}\folder.jpg exists. 2) folder.jpg is replaced. 3) Corresponding image under "Cast & Crew" is old .jpg 4) Click on relevant image to go to the person/actor page->image is new .jpg > Click on "Edit" > Click on "Refresh" > Return to "Cast & Crew" on main movie page->image is still old .jpg 5) On main movie page click on "Edit" > Click on "Refresh"->image is still old .jpg 6) On "Scheduled Tasks" page click on "Refresh People" > Return to "Cast & Crew" on main movie page->image is still old .jpg 7) On "Scheduled Tasks" page click on "Scan media library" > Return to "Cast & Crew" on main movie page->image is still old .jpg The only way I have been able to get the image on the movie page to update is to "Upload" the new .jpg. Is there a way to perform a bulk update for the person/actor images on the main movie pages?

In addition, I have noticed that after uploading an image (I always upload from the media folder), the image is usually deleted (but not always). Is this functioning as expected? If so, why and when is it necessary to delete the image after uploading it?

    Emby FILM CLUB

Well seeing as we all use Media Browser to watch.... errrr... Movies with. I thought I'd start up a thread, so we can say a few words about any recent movies you have watched and pass thoughts on them, so those sat on the fence regarding a particular film may decide it's worth a shot. RULES: 1. THERE IS NO FILM CLUB 2. NO SPOILERS 3. GIVE OVERALL EXPERIENCE FELT ABOUT THE MOVIE (how it made you feel) 4. YOU MAY GIVE COMPARISONS TO OTHER MOVIES 5. YOU CAN GIVE THE TYPE OF MOOD YOU CAN BE IN TO WATCH THIS PARTICULAR MOVIE 6. NO SPOILERS 7. GIVE A SCORE OUT OF 10 Ok so I'll start of with a couple. The Conjuring (2013) I've always been sceptical about Horrors, they always seem to go too far with gore or end up been down right stupid, well, what a nice turn of events with this movie. The events are based on a true story(apparently), and the pace is pretty good from start to finish. Now I'm not one that gets edgey by any means and I'm very thick skinned, however, I have to say that the suspense in this film is bang on the money, it had my arm hairs standing on end quite often and physiologically, its a trickster!! I thoroughly enjoyed being tense throughout the movie and would certainly watch it again. This is how horrors should be made. 8.5/10 Pain & Gain (2013) What can I say, it was totally not the movie I was expecting to see from the Front Cover..... This is a good thing by the way. Wahlberg &The Rock play outstanding parts in this movie about 3 body builders who need to make some money. The balance between the story and the comedy in this is perfect(the comedy would probably be more appealing to the males, not girly girls). It's a thoroughly enjoyable movie from start to finish, with no lulls at all throughout. For a 2hr 10min movie, it feels more like an hour and a half (Good Right?). Watch this anyday, anytime and you wont feel disappointed. 8.3/10
