  1. I've been looking at the wiki, and at older forum posts; I can't seem to figure it out. No metadata images are coming through. Any tips on where I should refer to for this? edit: May be useful to indicate this is running on CentOS 7, Emby stable v3.0.5712.5874.
  2. About a month ago (not sure if it was after an update) the images for all of my movies, collections and TV shows stopped appearing in all clients (web, Win 10/8, Android, etc.) The images are located in the same directory as the media file and I have not made any changes to the server that I know of. I have attached the logs from this evening as well as a screen shot from the web client. Thanks in advance for any help. server-63574170301.txt server-63574243200.txt

    Screenshot Grabber

What does it do? Screenshot grabber allows you to specify a video file and will dump images from the video based on the number of images you set and the frequency you choose. How do I do it? Press the "Select file" button and choose the video you want to use. Press the "Choose folder" button and choose the folder where you want the images to be saved. Select how many images you want to save. Choose how often you want images to be saved. Press start ???? Profit Can I stop before it reaches the end of the video? Yes just hit the stop button or close the app at any time.

Hector
  5. Since the new update (3.0.5582.4) any images I have set as an admin for the libraries do not appear for standard users, instead they get the new standard images which I do not want. Is this expected behaviour ? I would prefer not to have to go in, give each user admin rights and then set images manually for every user.
  6. I've just noticed over the past few days, if I add a new show to my collection the not all of the images are automatically added. Series images seem to be ok, but specifically season posters aren't downloaded. If I go and manually browse for them, or even do an advanced refresh on the series metadata everything is properly added. MBS Version 3.0.5518.7

    No primary images on iOS

Over the past few days I have noted a problem with the top level primary images in both the free app and ipad one. All other clients seem to be ok to me. Note from the below image there are no primary images or indeed even a user profile image bottom right. Another point to note is boxsets are no longer grouped. An example of this 28 which can can seen in the image. Server log attached. I see a lot of the following in the log. Images are present in the home screen and when entering an item. The title also plays fine. 2015-01-19 21:19:45.0122 Debug - HttpServer: HTTP Response 200 to 192.168.0.4. Response time: 185.0003 ms. MB2 Style Image Download

Hi all, Recently installed server on a new box and have found that, on scanning a show, MBS is pulling an "extrafanart" folder along with the following images: banner.jpg clearart.png fanart.jpg landscape.jpg logo.png poster.jpg I was expecting the old style (backdrop1, etc). Is there a way to make this happen or is this now the expected behavior ?
  9. As per the subject line, this has recently started to happen when using MB Classic. Whenever I select an actor to see their information, the application exits. Under the new 3.0.27 beta, at least I get an "invalid application" error in Windows Media Centre. The problem does not manifest in MB Theatre, so I think something is up with my MB Classic. Has anyone else experienced this?
  10. Hello Version 3.0.5343.40355 Yesterday I uninstall Media browser, today I install again, but tv seasons doesn't show properly. Metadata was saved on tv folders, all images etc was saved in past. Now it looks like MB don't see images and don't issue season item. Example below. How to relink automatically all seasons in tv shows?so I will be see correctly... Second thing, from what depending that sometimes MB download to folder season01-poster.jpg and sometimes only season01-landscape.jpg(I check poster also exist to that tv shows). Regards
  11. So, I recently installed 3 WD red drives in my MB Server system. I also installed FlexRaid(F) to manage the drives. Everything in my MBS then showed as Offline. That's fine, MBS was pointing at a previous location that no longer exists. So I added the new location for each libraries and deleted the old locations. However, now that I have done that, the initial library scan will not complete. It hung at 48% initially, and so I restarted the server(after waiting over an hour for the scan to complete), and now it has hung at 31%. I made sure to share the new flexraid disk so that's not the problem. I'm completely stuck. Does anyone know what is going on here?

    Photo images change

When I set an image for a folder containing photos (in Metadata Manager) a file poster.jpg is created in the directory. After a while ALL photo's in the directory shows the "Primary Image" the same as poster.jpg. This causes all photo's (in any client) to be exactly the same and the photo itself is not displayed. I have also tried to set the "Image Update" option to off for the different photos but it does not help either. What am I doing wrong?
  13. I was going through my movies the other night and noticed a lot of banners in foreign languages (for non-foreign films). I went into the metadata manager images tab, and clicked the cloud next to the banners in question and get choices in multiple languages even though I have the "All Languages" checkbox unchecked. I see in the choices from FanArt that next to the resolution of the image is the two letter language code. A) I shouldn't see the other languages if the checkbox is unchecked Images shouldn't be auto-downloading for other languages C) If no image is available in your selected language (based on the metadata, basics, preferred download language option), don't download anything. edit: fixed B smiley

    Folder Covers

If someone has free time and is able to make a folder image, could you please make a folder image for A&E, National Geographic & the History Channel please. I'm in the process of cleaning up everything on my server before we move. Thanks Dominick

    Server Images

Please advise where the primary, backdrop etc. images in the server are stored? With the change in the trailers setup, it appears I have lost my backdrop image and would love to recover it. @@ebr With the new trailers setup, how can I get the backdrop to appear in mb classic?

    Trailer images

Media Browser Server 3.0.5264 Question: How does one specify custom images (backdrops, primary, etc) for Trailers in new release? I still have Trailers folder in IBN but images no longer display in MediaBrowser nor MediaBrowseClassic. P.S. Will we be able to specify custom images when using new Trailers plugin only?

    TV Show Logos Not Showing

I am using the latest stable version of XBMB3C in the repo with XBMC 12.2 and the latest stable Aeon Nox 4 release connected to the latest stable version of MB3 Server. I'm having issues with images being displayed properly for TV Shows (haven't even started checking/testing the movies side yet). I started with trying to use the Episode view to display them as banners, but that never worked anywhere near correctly. So now, I am trying to use the Landscape view to display them as Logo. However, all I get is text of the show name with the episode counts in parenthesis. I have verified that the show does have the correct image in MB3S for the logo image type and have stayed on a single show name for at least 5 minutes just to be extra extra extra sure that it wasn't an issue of just needing to d/l the image and cache it first. Nothing ever shows up. Any ideas on why some of the image types have issues loading? Any testing/info I can do/provide to troubleshoot this? On a separate (lower priority) note, I've also noticed issues with watched statuses not always syncing up between what is shown in XBMB3C and MB3S sometimes. Figured I'd mention it in case that was a known issue with a fix coming. Otherwise, the image issue more important to me at the moment.
  19. I still use metabrowser for my metadata and images fetching. In MBS I have: Download artwork and metadata from the internet: OFF Save artwork and metadata into media folders: ON Image saving convention: Standard MB2/MB3 If I change a backdrop or a show / season poster image in metabrowser - the folder.jpg or backdrop.jpg (backdrop1.jpg, etc) is replaced (and the date modified is updated). But, the original image(s) still show in MBS. That's reasonable as they're probably cached somewhere - but even after running a "Scan Media Library" the old images still show up in MBS (and in MBC). If I change the images via the MBS interface then the new ones show up in both MBS/MBC and metabrowser - but I'd prefer to continue to use metabrowser if possible.
  20. Hi I'm having a weird issue with getting images for my Collections created by the plugin Auto Box Sets (v. 0.0.1.5). My metadata "Preferred language" and "Country" is set to Danish and Denmark. For all my Movies this works fine, it gets the Danish versions of images if there is any, if not it gets the English / No Language / top voted from themoviedb.org. But for my Collections / BoxSets it's not getting the "English" or "No Language" from themoviedb.org if there aren't any in danish. I can change my "Preferred language" to "English" and then "Browse Images" on a Collection folder, then "English" Images will show up but still not the "No Language" ones. I have tried with my Collection of RED -> http://www.themoviedb.org/collection/163902-red-collection And it sure has some Backdrops and Primary Images but i just wont fetch them if the language of the images is not the same as the "Preferred language". And since most Backdrops are "No Language" i cant get those other then getting them manual and uploading them to each Collection. System: Server Version: 3.0.5174.21980
  21. I dont know if this has been already asked...search didnt yield anything relevant. But it would be a nice to have
  22. Just looking for some suggestions on some "Collection" images I could use. I'm tired of looking at the blank squares in place of collection images in MBT. Something that would compliment MBT would be ideal for me, but really anything would do, instead of those blank boxes! What images are you guys/gals using? Thanks! Patrick
  23. Hi, thanks first for the great application and addon! The best I could imagine, espeacially that everything is automatic. That's very useful! But it doesn't seem to find sometimes, all meta-data for some collections. The addon have found about 25 collections (probably at "themoviedb.org") and couldn't find for 14 any poster or any backdrop, allthough there are some posted at the moviedb. And it also doesn't seem to matter, for which language the backdrop or the poster is linked to, because in my Iron-Man-collection, i had a different sellection of art at "edit/images" than at the moviedb. I tried to delete the created boxset-files and watch, if the addon recognize it differently afterwards, but it didn't. What could it be? Thank you
  24. Hi All, MBS Version 3.0.5135.31685 CoverArt Version 4.0.4.9 MBC Version 3.0.108 MBT Version 3.0.5129.37166 I have been trying to nut out if there is something wrong with my config or if there is a display bug. Below is how a movie poster looks with CoverArt set to "ignore". I have screen capped it with it highlighted to show the full area for the image. Now, here is an image with CoverArt set to "rounded". It has a similar effect no matter what treatment I use but it stands out most on this one as there is no other cover element to the image. Something is squashing the images. This is visible in the web client and MBT, but it does not effect images in MBC in the few themes I have tried. I have fully removed CoverArt including config files and reinstalled in an attempt remedy this but it is consistently repeatable for me. Known issue, bug or config problem in CoverArt or WebUI and MBT?
  25. I wrote this guide up to try and help @@t^2 understand the images and their place(s) and thought it might also be helpful to anyone new to this and scratching their head. So here we go: Movies Movie Art - are images of a movie logo/name including characters of the movie with a transparent background Movie Backdrops – are high quality backdrops of the Movie Movie Banner - are images containing the movie characters including the movie logo/title Movie Disc - are original movie disc images with a transparent background Movie Logo – are images of a movie logo/name with a transparent background Movie Thumb - are images containing the movie characters including the movie logo/title TV TV Art- are images of a TV show logo/name including characters of the TV show with a transparent background TV Backdrops – are high quality backdrops of the TV show TV Banner - are images containing the TV show characters including the TV show logo/title TV Logo – are images of a TV show logo/name with a transparent background TV Thumb - are images containing the TV show characters including the TV show logo/title TV Seasons TV Seasons Backdrops – are high quality backdrops of the season, usually displayed in the background when the related season is selected TV Seasons Banner - are images containing the TV show characters including the TV show logo/title and season number TV Seasons Thumb - are images containing the TV show characters including the TV show season number Music Artists Music Artist Thumb - are high quality thumbnail images of an artist or band Music Artist Backdrops - are high quality backdrops containing the artist/band Music Artist Logo - are images of an artist or bands logo/name with a transparent background Music Artist Banner - are images containing the artists including their logo/name Music Albums Music Album Cover - are images of the original album Music Album Backdrops - are high quality backdrops containing the artist/band Music Album Disc - are original music disc images with a transparent background What Do They Do? Firstly you will notice that covers for TV and Movies are not listed, this seems to be a given that you want them and they are fetched providing an image does not already exist in the folder (folder.jpg or folder.png) When changing/adding cover images using they WebUI they are referred to as ‘primary’ but will be saved as a folder.jpg Music Albums cover fetch can be enabled and disabled along with the options listed above, cover images for music will be extracted from tags if it exists, if it does not and there is no folder image then providing it is enabled MBS will download one when available. Please bear in mind most of the artwork is subject to what client and skin you are using and can vary as to how it is implemented, this is just a general idea for those new to MB and the world of Home Theatre. Art - used while browsing your media centre library to show next to the poster/banner or as a recognizable navigation item. Backdrops - used as a background while browsing your library and as a background slide show on skins that support this feature Banner - used while browsing your media centre library as a recognizable navigation item Disc - used while browsing your media centre library to show the original disc next to the cover also used while playing the movie in a media centre for skins that support it. Logo - used while browsing your media center library as a recognizable navigation item Thumb - used while browsing your media center library as a recognizable navigation item All of the above images are stored locally in the folder containing the media by default, making them easy to find and replace/delete or edit or you can browse for and replace/delete images via the MBS WebUI > http://YOURSERVERNAME:PORT/mediabrowser/dashboard/edititemmetadata.html You can also enable/disable which of the above images are fetched via your MBS Dashboard > Metadata > Image Downloading. But wait there’s more…. Collections - Collections in essence are navigation menu defined by you the user and created as you desire when you add your media. They can also have an image associated with them, these images are usually created by users and can found here on the forums or you can make your own. The easiest way by far to add/change these is using the WebUI > http://YOURSERVERNAME:PORT/mediabrowser/dashboard/index.html …click on one of you collections > edit > upload your image Box Sets – We all know what these are and yes they can have images as well, MB is just that cool Most Box Set images are easily obtained from TMDb, although MB doesn’t find it so easy at the moment and the manual process is the best option, so the easiest way for that, again go to your WebUI > http://YOURSERVERNAME:PORT/mediabrowser/dashboard/boxsets.html > select one your boxsets > edit > now scroll down and look for the TheMovieDB Id: in the field beside it add the collection number from TMDb > click save > click refresh and all your metadata and images (including any fanart.tv images) should be populated. C’MON! How do I get the tmdb id? Head over to TMDb.org and search for your movie(s), on the left menu select collections, select and click the right collection if more then one, now look at the URL in your browser (eg. http://www.themoviedb.org/collection/2326-underworld-collection), so for our Underworld Collection the TMDb id needed is 2326. Media Browser also makes use of images for Artists, People, Studios, Genres (TV/Movie, Music and Game), Years and even General for those they couldn’t think of, they are however stored deeper inside the MBS folders on your server. More info on those and their location can be found here ... got all that? feel like having a go at making your own? ....well i'll even give you a hand there, here is a list of recommended resolutions and formats, they are not set in concrete for personal use, although if you wish to share your creations they are, and if you wish to share on fanart.tv i would suggest you head over there and read their guidelines, they have a very strict criteria to make sure only the best quality art appears on your tv screens. Art - Resolution: Hi 1000x562 or Low 500x281 / Format: png or jpg Backdrops - Resolution: 1920x1080 / Format jpg Banner - Resolution: 1000x185 / Format jpg Disc - Resolution: 1000x1000 / Format: png Logo - Resolution: Hi 800x310 or Low 400x155 / Format: png Thumb - Resolution: 500x281 / Format: jpg Movie / TV Covers - Resolution: 1000x1426 / Format: jpg Music Album Covers - Resolution: 1000x1000 / Format jpg For Disc art a template can be found here and a tutorial for using it with GIMP here Hope that helps some to get their head around all the pretty pictures and terms used for them. Thank you to fanart.tv for their general descriptions and awesome artwork and of course to the Media Browser team cos they rock
