  1. Been on the phone with amazon for hours. They had me uninstall, reinstall and repurchase the app at least 5 times. each time they issued a refund, but that's not the goal here. I purchase the app, they charge my card, but it still wants me to repurchase the app. It reads that I am in trial mode till October 21, 2015. I have the 2nd generation fire TV. Appreciate any help.

    FireTV and Photos

Apologies if this has been asked before, but I presume if I display photos on the Fire TV, and click on an individual photo, it should basically fill the screen, cos at the moment it seems to be the same size (or possibly slightly bigger) than the preview. Thanks
  3. I am having a major issue with the Fire TV Stick (It's also happening on the Nexus Player app). I recently added my sister as a guest account to my server, but on her Fire TV Stick, whenever she chooses "Login with Connect" after entering the pin on her computer using HER USERNAME AND PASSWORD, she is given the "choose a user" screen on the app. The major issue here is even though she used the pin with HER account, she is unable to launch the app using her account. It always gives the "Invalid Username or Password" error. She CAN however, click on MY username (the admin account) and the app works perfectly. This is a major issue, as I'd like to add more guests, but absolutely can't if they all have immediate access to my admin account, and not their own when using a Set top box. The app works perfectly under her account for Android, as well as the web client, but there definitely are some wires crossed when it comes to the pin sign on for the box apps. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!
  4. I recently installed Emby and use it with a SiliconDust HDHomerun Prime 3-tuner device (with cablecard support) on on a LAN in my home. I have subscribed to Schedules Direct and everything seems to be set up properly. I recorded a couple of 30-minute live TV show using a Roku 3 (not a stick, but one with Ethernet cable). These recorded correctly and I was able to play them back on the Roku that was used to record them. They also played back properly from a second Roku 3 that is used with another TV. Both worked flawlessly. I could see the recorded shows in a folder and the artwork and descriptions displayed correctly. I was able to pause, continue, fast forward, rewind, etc. Everything working as it should. I then tried to play back the programs on an Amazon Fire TV. The Fire TV generates the following error: Video playback error. Server inaccessible. The recorded content will not play back at all. The Emby server IS accessible because I can play live TV channels and movies with no problem on the Fire TV. Has anyone else had this problem and solved it? From what I've seen so far, the Roku 3 is a far more versatile and flexible streaming player than the Fire TV. The biggest advantage of the Fire TV over the Roku is that you can sideload Android Apps. The Roku is not Android based, so you are limited to the Apps they provide.
