Here is my current issues with subtitles, I have only tested embedded subtitles that are default/forced. I expect there to be a few seconds to play the subtitles after skipping or resuming. Emby: Version 3.0.5621.4 Browser: Firefox Nightly 41.0a1, Firefox Developer Ed 40.0a2, and Chrome Canary Subtitle not showing up after skipping around (also includes resuming) - Works fine on chrome Will sometimes not play subtitle for a few seconds (5-20) and will resume in the correct spot - Issue with all browsers Side Bug: When you are browsing shows and click one then go back it will not take you back to where you were at on the page (It will take you to the top on FF but on chrome it will take you to last scrolled position before you clicked on a show).

Not sure if this is posted in the right place or not... I thought long and hard about whether this should be in the Kodi forums, the emby forums, or the Artic Zephyr subforum, lol. If not, I apologize, and would appreciate a point in the right direction. Basically, I'm using ArcticZephyr for my Kodi skin and an Emby library. I love this skin, the only thing I'm really feeling is missing is a robust search function. The Kodi native search does not seem to work with the emby library. I click on it and nothing happens. In the Hub options, I could not find a search function specific to emby in the lists. I ended up installing the app 'Global Search' and it works just fine but it is light on the features and is not graphically well presented. So I'm looking for someone to let me know whats up, whether theres something I can do or not, etc. Is this a skin problem? or a Kodi problem? Or an emby API problem? Thanks in advance!

One or more errors occurred. When I click OK I then get the message: MediaBrowser.UI has stopped working. Hello everyone, I have an old (but usable!) Verizon Samsung Galaxy Nexus that my daughter uses to play her shows on. Recently Emby has started crashing when attempting to play .avi files from the server. Crashing is probably a bit too strong of a word, as the screen displays "There was an error playing the video". The thing is, the video plays fine on both my wife and I's Moto X's (on Android 4.4.4) and on our Roku 3. All other videos seem to play fine on the Galaxy Nexus from Emby. I have have tried: - Uninstall/Reinstall Emby (deleting Emby folder as well) - Installing various versions of Android (including 5.1.1, 4.4.4, and 4.2.2 - the last official version for that phone) Thoughts? Hi there, I have just installed the emby plugin on FreeNas at it seems to be working well with one exception... It is unable to write to the volume where the media is stored... FALSE When I shell into the jail, I can see the mount just fine, and write to it without problems. Does the emby service run as a different user? I paid for this app about a year ago. it looked like a worthwhile addition so i ponied up as i have done for alot of the various parts (subscriber,paid apps & paid for themes etc) but this is brutal. I have to say it's dire (sorry) ...looks good and launches a video but that's it.The "remote" part is so poorly implemented it has never worked fully ...ever. In it's current form it is worth €0 not 4 or 5 quid mate. volume rocker doesnt work anymore play would work once that's it ...no pause. FF/REW never worked Skip FWD never worked slider never worked (if it was supposed to) No resume etc Mute on off does work. Any idea when we can expect a fully working version that was paid for? Lumia user on a 520 all updates as far as & including denim (phone is fine)(pc is fine updated y'day) Sorry bout being harsh but if you are going to charge at least make sure it is a working item. No problem paying for stuff that works!

Hi All @ Emby, Was wondering if somebody could help. I have got my Emby instance up and running and so far everything is working great (Brilliant work BTW) I set up three user accounts and they were working fine. I had set two of the accounts so that playback was allowed but i did not allow playback that requires transcoding. This was working great and every time either two of the users played media from my library it streamed from the cloud. I suppose its worth mentioning that all my content is synced to the cloud with profile Baseline - Low Quality. and all content was playing fine. Everything has been playing fine but some time over the last few Emby updates it has stopped working. :? now whenever either user logs in and selects an item to play it comes up with a message 'No compatible streams are currently available. Please try again later or contact your system administrator for details.' Any idea why i am now having this error? FYI Sync and convert seem to still be working fine.

Skills: Decent knowledge with Windows and Mac Zero knowledge with Linux/Ubuntu etc Very very average networking skills Top notch Resilience and willingness to learn WARNING: COMPLETE NOOB ALERT! I am currently running Emby on my workstation which is an Alienware Aurora R4 (4930K, GTX 690) and having that switched on all day with my dual monitors and other stuff hasnt been kind to my Electric bill. Trying to workout the best possible, stable and economical setup has been quite challenging but its the ultimate goal here. I have the following: Intel NUC5i7RYH (256gb SSD and 16GB) Intel NUC5i5RYH (128GB and 8GB) A 2010 Macbook Pro 17" i7(8gb RAM max, hard drive upgraded to SSD) 1 unused Windows 8.1 licence local Clients: Sony Bravia TV 2014 (needs an HTPC or Streamer box to enjoy the full emby experience) Ipad Workstation Remote Clients:(still needs to be setup, will cross that bridge once all local clients are sorted) 1 laptop user 1 TV user connected to a PC Networking: R7500 - AC2350 Nighthawk X4: The router is located on the 1st floor but the most used local client will be the TV located downstairs(ground floor) with only wireless access to the home network. Question 1: Do you think the Intel NUC5i7RYH is more than capable of handling 5 HD streams steadily. Its relatively new hardware and I have never tinkered with such boxes until now(well this weekend). I plan on having this as the server PC connected to my usb3 hard drive. I hope this can work as an always on PC as oppose to buying a NAS? I did try using the Mac as the server. I dont know about Linux but honestly, Emby Server on Windows is the most stable package I have experienced so far. The Mac was just 'difficult' to remain stable and wasn't a fan of KODI's interface. I can only hope this improves with time. Question 2: I think this is a no brainer but I assume in order to handle 5+ streams, it would be wise to have the server PC connected with an ethernet cable to the router and have it feed to the clients. I was hoping to avoid this so I only keep one NUC as the SERVER and Client for the TV(wired directly-hdmi), have that with the hard drive downstairs and connected wirelessly to the home network to stream to other clients. bear in mind the router and NUC are both certified 'AC'. Question 3: I really would like to have Emby Theater as my main client for the Sony TV but that is only available on Windows. So Is it wise to use one of the Linux builds as the main OS for my Server PC and give the TV PC(Intel NUC5i5RYH ) the Windows licence. This is certianly unknown territory for me. So I was wondering, if this was the better option, how easy will it be to install and tinker without too many uber technical linux hurdles or should I just install Windows 10 technical Preview?? The other option will be to return the Intel NUC5i5RYH and get an android TV box or ROKU. I am just not sure what the interface looks and feels like. Would be nice to see a Youtube video demo. Also, how much metadata it parses and the subtitles support for these boxes as I sometimes run into a few encoded files in my library that require special treatment in the MadVR settings of Emby theater to display its subtitles without invoking MPC or VLC as the external player. Found a lot of bumps in the road having to compile a lot of Emby dependencies from scratch. Issue: Not able to play Movies. Getting Error msg "File no longer available. remove from Library?" Install the mediabrowser.kodi 1.0.1. using confluence skin (default skin). installed Emby only from the video addon. put in the ip address to the server. add profile name to account. ( Reboot ). Kodi Request Password for profile. there is no password. press done. Sync Started.. waited till finish. Reboot server and client. try play video and getting error msg. I am using MediaBrowser on my server which I connect with VPN. My os is Debian. My Libraries are from 2 servers, shared via NFS 4. I also did/do use the same Libraries with Plex without any problems. I installed and I am testing mediabrowser since this week. Even though it's more of a CPU hog and less consistent than Plex, Multiuser functionality and other good stuff made me want to switch over. So far, not that good. I had some problems such as: All of a sudden Media Browser stops responding. service mediabrowser status lists MB as running. Though it is not. It refuses even my curl -I requests. The only way to fix that is to stop AND start it again. I thought I could live with it. As long as I add a service to monitor if it responds to my requests with a 200 code or restart it if need be. But today I tried entering password. Well... I wish I didn't. ... Now I can't do nothing... I do start MB, I get the login screen. I do enter my password, I see the server config page. But as soon as I try entering either "My preferences" or try clicking Home, I am booted out back to signin page. Also, When I even mouseover the Emby menu on top left side of the screen, I got kicked out. I tried it in different browsers. Tried it after clearing the cache. Restarted, stopped, started mediabrowser service several times. Fruitless. I don't know what's going wrong with emby, but since you changed the name for something who sound like Kodi, it doesn't give what it gave before. Firstly, the connection made through the emby website , sometimes it work and sometimes it don't. For example, i add friends, by the invite options of the software manager of Emby , i decided to change the name of my server before (it was something like the name of my pc and i changed it for a more reliable name) when some users try to connect now, they see the new name of my server but when they clicked on it and there's always a message showing that the server is not available or something like that. When i have to update manually some infos about a movie, the link is made through imdb, the picture related to the movie is available (like it was before with Media Browser) but when it come to save it as the one who will be used, the update doesn't make anything except keeping all the old pictures related to the movie (pictures who are everything except the cover of the movie). There is a lot of missing infos when i add movies in my directories, this is acceptable, but when it come to make an update manually who doesn't work .... So i uninstalled emby completely to make a fresh new installation from the start. The installation went fine, i have to install the plugins that i had before (this is something normal), this told me that the uninstall process went good. But when i install a particular addon (who seems to be related to some home automation processes) it crashed. It crashed to a point that i was unable to restart the server. i uninstalled all the plugins, this is the last of the three options in the uninstall process. this action didn't remove only the plugins, but everything related to Emby. So i get to the control panel again, and seeing that Emby was still appearing through the software i have on my PC (windows 7 professional edition 64 bits) I tried to uninstall Emby, and it gave me an error message that something went wrong in the uninstall process. I know that Emby is free. But i would pay for it if it would be more stable. I keep Plex for that, who doesn't have all the bugs that i mentioned before in this message. So what's going on ? Hello, some Files in Kodi are for some reason not playable. Found this in Logfile: Error: CCurlFile::Stat - Failed: HTTP response code said error(22) I'm running Emby Server and Kodi on same Machine. Emby Plugin is up to date (0.0.20) Already done a fresh install of Emby and Kodi but the Error is still there. When I open Kodi I noticed that the "HD" sign in titel is missing in theses files which are not playable and I don't now the differences between these files because format, codec, etc.. is mostly the same. kodi.log
