Please stop adding ANY new features, without an option to completely disable them! My current problem is "trailers" I have been using emby for 10 or more years, and recently the trailer button has showed up, give me a setting to stop this. Every time you update emby something shows up that is useless, or downright unwanted, and we are stuck with it! I have had to reinstall older versions of emby just to keep things working right! I've been in electronics for 50+ years, the first 2 rules I learned were THIMK! (spelled wrong on purpose), and IF IT AIN'T BROKE DON'T FIX IT! Emby was the best server, now it is becoming unusable due to the extra crap you keep adding, and I am afraid will soon have to be replaced, if I cant find a usable version, without FLUFF!

Hello, it will be great is Emby have fiction to work as retro games streaming server. I will add ROMs to my server and by will just stream to clients. Users will just connect pad to TV or laptop and play on Emby client like on console.

Hey i have tried looking but cant see anyone asking for this yet unless i have missed it somewhere. would it be possible to have an added control to the admin pre-sets for other users for the way there layout is set up. this would be for users that use the tv mode vertical or horizontal. currently admins can pre-setup certain configurations for users but one that cant be done is to have a default setting for horizontal or vertical layouts.

I think it would be handy to modify the shuffle option to allow to modes. 1. As it is now, to shuffle everything in the media library (music, episodes, etc...). 2. Shuffle only unplayed items, so you don't watch the same stuff again until everything is played, then the "only unplayed" option would not appear.

If I select original quality then the resolution remains untouched. Problem is that the quality is not good. Hi, I’m new to Emby but I’ve been really enjoying getting it set up for my particular usage. One of the main reasons I picked it over an alternative was because of the Apple Watch support, I had wanted a phone free experience while running but still being able to listen to my music. I bought Emby Premiere (lifetime) hoping that I would be able to download my music to the Watch instead of having to stream (which I can and it works fine) I seen a post in regards to this feature request dating back to 2021 and was wondering if it’s still a feature that is being worked on. The most important notification for me is the New Media Notification at the moment. It would be great and maybe it is possible for the devs to get the user more freedom in art and style of the several notifications. Greetz

To make my music DB consistent I have to correct some problem such as Authors names spelling (e.g. Händel or Handel). To do this I should jump to the song file to edit metadata, but I have to manually search and navigate to get to it. A "Jump to folder/file" would help a lot.

Hi, I ask to include "Merge Recently Added items" to avoid to load all libraries to can see what is new. Not sure if this feature was already some years ago on Emby... I can't remember honestly. This feature could be very helpful to people that not include massive amount of movies at the same time and the "Latest Movies" can be showed in only one row in home screen to not load all libraries in "Latest Movies". This feature will not used by people that use only one big library for movies, but I know that many people organize their libraries by personalized categories or whatever. Thanks in advance.

Add a checkbox "Keep original movie title" so, whatever country or language you choose, movies are always displayed with their original title and not with the AKA.

Hey all, sorry if this has already been asked i have had a look but couldnt see anything. i would like to know if it would be possible to show the thumbnails pictures from said episode that is up next on the home page / Up next column instead of just the tv show main thumb photo. i.e if the series you are watching is S02E09 it would show the Thumb photo from that pacific episode instead of the main thumb photo. thanks and hopefully i have explained that well enough haha . i look forward to your replies

HI There, Would you guys please consider adding a feature or plugin that will provide a fast and easy way to determine if a program from the Live TV schedule is already present in the library. I envision something similar to the green check that appears on played items but for this purpose and distinct. Like many others my library is huge and I find myself selecting items in on tab on my browser while constantly searching each item on another tab. Is there a better more efficient way of filtering this?

I get that Emby does it's level best to identify stuff, but when it fails, it fails spectacularly and frustratingly. For absolutely no particular reason today, Emby scanned one of my libraries, nuked half the metadata, and started redownloading it, identifying an entire folder of series as something else. Suddenly about 7-8 different shows, that were properly working earlier today, are now combined in to one show that absolutely ISN'T what it decided it was (it saw "Series" in the root folder, and literally decided "Series of Unfortunate Events from Netflix!"). Once it happens, there's no good way to recover. It literally went and misidentified hundreds of episodes. Short of manually editing hundreds of episodes of metadata (and you're absolutely insane if you think that's happening), you more or less have to move it and start over. I know if someone reads my post history, they'll see my last post was a reply about this not really being an issue. And honestly, it HASN'T been, until Emby randomly decided to do it's own thing today. Long story short, fixing this whole thing is a massive hassle, and people have been asking for YEARS for some kind of solution. The problem is the solution is "follow our nebulous naming guidelines!" which is a crappy band-aid fix. Let me unidentify, give me more control over my metadata. That it's so easy to get locked in to the wrong thing is frustrating and needless. Seriously though, metadata is functionally the core of Emby (look, most people don't care about the ffmpeg work, or the backend stuff, they care that Emby provides them a nice interface with lots of information, ie metadata). Not having enough control over it is silly. It's like buying a car, but requiring a chauffeur to actually drive it....

Hi there, Would it be possible to make an option (even for the Kodi plugin) that when playing the next episode, if there is a skipped episode, it warns us? For example Last played is Mr Joe S01E04 Mr Joe S01E05 is missing (not downloaded, not in library) However Mr Joe S01E06 is downloaded and in the library. Logically, EMBY shows that it is the next episode to watch since it is the next available episode but it is not actually the next episode. I would appreciate should it show, upon pressing play, Are you sure you want to skip Episode 5? Or something of the sort? Thanks, Immortali

Hi, Searching my movie library, I miss the option showing movies in which actor performed but I do not have them in the library, is it possible to add a simple functionality similar to what is in the series episodes - missing.

Now that we have the ability to identify HDR type as HDR or DV in the latest betas, can this sort filter be added?
