I hope the client can add a fixed playback speed option, so that when watching some episodes, the playback speed does not need to be chosen every time

If you have big libary, it would be nice to scan more than one libary at the time

Hi guys I use Emby Android on our Android TV with a vertical menu and have different TV show types and movie genres in separate folders so it shows all the latest added in each folder on the home page. I've noticed that on the Android version of Emby for tablets that there is a shortcut on the homepage to take you to 'All' in each folder, but there isn't one when running on Android TV. Would it be possible to add one please? I would imagine the most useful and aesthetically pleasing way would be to have an additional cover at the end of each row that just said All on it, so when you scroll across to the right you get a shortcut straight into that folder's section (like you do when you select one from the left menu bar). Kind of like below, but a bit nicer! Just a thought! Thanks!

I have some imported (incomplete) collections on my library. I suggest that there would be option to download all the metadata of the collection titles. The titled missing from collection could be presented for example in gray or tag.

Hi, I tried doing a quick search but unsure if this is an issue, or by design and apologies if this has already been answered. The issue (for me atleast): Actors/People metadata appears to be common between libraries and makes it look funny when using the TVDB pulled images for cartoons/tv shows etc. In some cases it is okay, but instances where it becomes to look funny is where I have Homer from the The Simpsons showing up in Aladdin. Is it possible to have unique Actors/People metadata for each TV show? I know a work around for this which is just to use TMDB for this metadata where it's a photo of the actor themselves usually. Also, is it possible to not display Actors/People for ones that do not have any image associated to them? Regards

Recently, I noticed YouTube has implemented a new feature in its player where users can hold on video being played to fast-forward the video by 2x speed. I have also noticed the same feature on some other platforms and I found this feature really helpful. So I request to add this feature in the next build. Thanks.

If you have different libraries for UHD (4K) and HD (<=1080p) content, being able to disable transcoding for a library makes it easier to avoid transcoding 4K content in case the hardware doesn't support it. In my case, this would allow me to share the 4K library with my friends without risk of overloading my server. An alternative option would be to simply disable 4K transcoding but seems this is not possible:

Is it possible to show the original title as additional information on the detail view, too. All my titles are sorted in the german translations, but sometime would it be useful to know the original title. Of course I can switch over to my admin account to access the meta data but you can provide this information further down with all the media info, too.

Suggestions for optimizing TV multi version UI and adapting related functions Can the multi version switch button be placed in the Season interface instead of the interface for each episode. And after selecting a certain version (Version B), it will take effect for all episodes of that season. For example: Season 1 Version A □ Version B □ Version C □ or: Version A □ Version B □ Version C □ This way, you won't have to switch between different versions after playing an episode. Because there are currently multiple versions playing, if I play Version B in the first episode, perhaps I will switch to Version A in the next episode. Just because the version of Version A appeared earlier, I think this is too unwise.

There are multiple versions of each tvshow in my library Some are 4K, some are 1080P, some are HDR, and some have subtitles every time when I paly a next episode， the first version of the default sort will be played automatically For this reason I was forced to quit playing, Then manually select the last version, Resume playing This is not what I want. I hope that when I play 2160P, the next episode will still be the 2160P version, not automatically switch to another（1080P） version，I need to exit playback， So I hope to switch the version during playback.

Hi. I've been an Emby user for a few years now, a former Plex user until I got fed up of having to wait for Plex to fix an issue with playback on Firesticks. I've recently installed Plex to see if it's resolved, which it is, and now I'm considering which to use long term. One feature I really need, which Plex supports, is the storing of the position of audio, so when you come back to it, it plays from where you left off. I have 1000's of DJ Mixes which are normally an hour in length. Its frustrating to come back to what you were listening to, but have to to start again. This would be a great addition to Emby, and keep me on this side of the table! Thanks

My collection consists of a lot of anime or media with alternative tracks, like commentary or isolated scores. With a lot of the anime I own it contains both Japanese and English audio. However, usually if the anime comes with both Japanese and English audio it will come with two subtitle tracks. One track translates everything while the other track only translates the Japanese text. (Example below) What I would like to be implemented is a way I can associate a specific audio track to a subtitle track so when I select Japanese or English the correct subtitles will play without me trying to match both tracks whenever I decide to change the language. Also, if it could keep track of what track was selected previously when watching TV shows. I have a few TV shows that have either commentary or an isolated score (contains only the music and no dialog.) It would be nice to watch these episodes in sequence without having to change to back to the correct track. For example, I have Over the Garden Wall on Blu-ray and that show has both a commentary and an isolated score track on every episode. Additionally, I have a few Jackie Chan films that come with English, Cantonese, and Mandarin audio sometimes with multiple mixes and alternate subtitles to go with them. Ways this could be implemented could be to match by audio and subtitle track number, track name, or a manual way to bundle a set of selectable tracks. Also, I'm sure if this is already a feature, but if it is I haven't figured it out. It would be nice to select the default language by show or even episode level. Thank you.

Feature request A plugin that allows you to import collections made on Takt or imdb Name : Collection name - ex. Popular Movies URL : Hyperlink of Trakt collection - ex. https://trakt.tv/users/movistapp/lists/popular-movies?sort=rank,asc As a streaming platform, this would greatly benefit users. Let's make browsing more enjoyable and easier to find what you're looking for. Here is the possibility for this idea.

Feature Request: Ability to assign users to tuners in the User administration screen. Benefit: Prevents a user from using too many tuner connections without limiting their total streams.

Hi All, I am just checking in to see if any progress has been made on playing Dolby Vision on SDR TV's. It seems like my original request has fell off the dev's radar so here is a link. I am re-requesting this feature as I have guests that are using the 1080p TV and when they went to watch Ahsoka it was all greenish. So I told them to use Jellyfin and it displays the dolby vision "correctly". I am not sure I understand why Emby has not implemented this yet?? Jellyfin and Plex (w/ pass) I would have thought that Emby Premier would have this feature. Is it possible I was not running Premier? Also, in the the thread posted below people were saying that it is not practical or easy to implement, so I will post this snippet from the post - "Is there a way to get Emby to use the Jellyfin FFMPEG?" FFMPEG is open source so I am sure that JellyFin has the source available. Thank you! I will keep checking back in until the 'ole 1080p is thrown away!

It would be useful to have a "Thumbs Up/Thumbs Down" for music files, rather than just a "heart." Some tracks are in our libraries and we don't want to delete them, but we would like to exclude them from play when we queue up a full album or create a playlist by adding full albums. Examples: an awful track on an otherwise good compilation disk, or a spoken-word intro track on a music album. Being able to easily mark such tracks with a "thumbs down" would be very useful.

Hi I was wondering if you can add a fallback channel, therefore, we can have multiple source for the same channel, if the main channel has a problem, Emby will try the second options and probably a third one

Just a thought, I am a new user and finding anything in settings is a nightmare. What about doing it the way iOS or Eclipse (to name just two) do it. Implement a search. On my iPad if I go to settings and have no idea where they have hidden/moved a setting now, I can drag down, a search box appears, I type in a word - say 'wifi', and up pop all the settings that contain wifi. Eclipse has the same, in settings you can do a settings search and narrow down the list by using a search term, making it way easier to find what you need. Given the massive number of settings it would be really helpful.

That could be great to have AV1 Transcoding support in options

It's not the first time I've asked this but I still don't understand why Emby doesn't support playing ISO files. I have many music concerts in ISO format and it is the only way to locate a song or moment of the concert. I have converted some ISO into MKV format and the chapters are shown as Chapter 1, chapter2.... and so it is difficult to locate something. I have unzipped the ISO file to create the structure but Emby does not show the menus either. My question is, if Emby does not support (and perhaps will never support) ISO format, is there a way to automatically import the description of each chapter from the created mkv file?

Hi, could it be made possible to add custom sorting to collection items? If I'm trying to mirror a "tmdb trending" list, I want my collections to mirror their sorting instead of the default "Title" and "Release" options. Another example could be someones personal list on Trakt or MDBlist. The collection order should mirror the trakt/mdblist order. I can think of hundreds of different examples for why collections should have custom ordering. Cheers.

It would be great to be able to have names for audio and subtitle tracks, even if only reading them from the source file's metadata. Being able to tell English subs from English SDH subs, or identify commentary tracks when one or more is present, for example, would be really helpful.

Hi, would it be possible to add third party url entries to the side menu or as a home screen tile/icon? It would be great to have the ability to allow more basic users easy access to say JellySeerr for making requests, or any other tool you have setup. This would especially help on a TV setup where launching and "typing" in a url is a real chore. Of course, tight integration with Jellyseerr would be great but I can only imagine that would be a lot more work. Thanks for a great product.
