Hello, in my collection I use the age rating information in German formats, unfortunately Emby does not seem to work with this or does not know the German designations. For age ratings in the format PG, M, R and so on this works fine. The German variants DE:FSK 12 / DE:FSK-12 / DE:FSK12 / DE:12 / DE:ab 12 on the other hand do not work, so the age rating simply does not work with German metadata. It shows the correct data at the movie information, but ignores it when i set an age. Am I doing something wrong or is this simply missing? If it is missing, will it come in the future? Unfortunately I could not find any information about this so far. Would be nice to known, thanks.

I suggested in a totally different thread a bit ago about possibly adding Discogs as a meta fetcher... https://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/79280-duplicate-music-artists-entries-how-to-get-rid-of-them/ That thread has had a few +1 reply posts. As such i figured adding it to the feature requests was the proper way to gauge interest. If you have used MP3tag you should be familiar with Discogs. Its a GREAT alternative to Musicbrainz.

I would like the ability to adjust the playback speed of my videos and recordings. YouTube.com does this and i think it is a very convenient feature to have.

I have an Amazon Fire Stick 4k HDR version. Apps like Netflix and HBO Go have their own "Recommends" row on the home screen. They allow you to launch specific content directly without going into the app then selecting the content. It would be great if emby could do this as well.

Please read this post first. I was wondering if it would be possible to add something that would allow you to skip the intro to shows automatically while binge watching. When watching Netflix it does this for some shows, and im not sure if thats a feature of Netflix itself or a Chrome extension i use called "Flix Assist" but it would be a nice feature to have within Emby as well. and possibly even create a custom timed skip for specific shows

Request I would like to request an additional option to the "Restrict Items With Tags" section of 'Users\Parental Control' "Allow items with these tags". It would whitelist any item with the tag into a users library. Reason My children have an account with "Maximum allowed parental rating:" set to GB-U. There are some media items rated GB-PG that I think are suitable to watch and would like to allow in their library. Current System Currently I would have to do either: Select "Allow only items with these tags"; then manually tag all media suitable for the account. Select "Block items with these tags": Set the max "Maximum allowed parental rating" to GB-PG; and manually tag all media unsuitable for the account. Both of these options are large undertakings. Option 2 also means future media might not get tagged and unsuitable GB-PG media might get through. New "Allow items with these tags" Option This would allow me to tag only the GB-PG media I thought suitable. Any new media on the server wouldn't be tagged, so wouldn't appear until checked.

I sometimes enter my movie library with the desire to watch a movie but no real idea about what movie I would like to watch. Currently I can browse from a-z or z-a or by date added or by genre or by date released or maybe a few other choices but that means I am limited to seeing my movies in just a few orders and I see the same movies first in each sort every time. While that may seem like a good variety it really limits browsing and also means that some movies are always late in the browse. I have a library of well over 3000 movies and it sometimes takes a long time to find a movie to watch. What I would like to have is the option to present the movies in a random order that is different each time I browse. That way movies that I usually do not get to browse might show up earlier. I do NOT want random play I just want to be able to choose to browse my movies in a random order. I would really like this on the Roku client but I believe if it were implemented at the server then it would be easier for the clients to implement it.

If an episode is missing the Release Date, could "Year" be displayed in its place on the episode page?

This is more of a "wouldnt it be cool if it did this...." It would be nice to keep the live tv stream active in a small picture in the corner of the screen and view the channel guide in full screen. For instance, I am watching a live show and want to look at what comes on next or on another channel without closing the show I am currently watching. Sent from my VS988 using Tapatalk

Hey! I've seen several threads about this feature but I didn't see any in the features requests section (sorry if it's a duplicate I may not have looked well). I would like to have a way to display only the series collections like for the movies with the collection tab. Displaying them directly in the middle of the series is not what I want even if for the moment there is only this solution. Several solutions could be implemented like - The addition of an extra tab (it will be too many tabs). - The choice of tabs displayed to remove and put others - Remove the tabs collection button and create a button underneath (I don't know, I'm proposing things ahah) etc... I don't know how it could be implemented I trust you completely to find the best way (if it validated to be implemented).

I have several movies in multiple editions, ie Theatrical, Director's Cut, Extended Edition, etc. Right now I have these movies in the same root folder, such as: /Taken (2008) /Taken [Theatrical] (2008).mkv /Taken [unrated] (2008).mkv Both editions show up as a separate entry. As of right now, I've just taken to changing the name of each entry in the server so I can tell them apart. What I'd like to know is if there is a way to elegantly group them together under the same entry and choose which one to play after I select the movie from the main movie menu. I've thought about putting the non-theatrical versions in a "special" folder, but I was wondering if there was a better way to do this. Thanks, Chris

Hi, I wonder if it is possible to add a lock screen button to the smartphone version of the Android app? In many ocassions rain water or other unintentional screen touches can make the video jump to a point before or after what we are watching and it is annoying. I believe Netflix app has this fearure. @Luke Is there any news on this, the list of incomprehensible (because not lived like this in DE) make it incredibly exhausting for the users to use the actual age restrictions. The list is getting unbearably longer. The metadata is set to German. Actually, something like genre mapping for age ratings only should solve the problem, do you already have something on this? If I replace all the metadata, the TMDB (at least for German age ratings), which is largely unmaintained, is still used today; mapping to, for example, 4 age ratings does not take place: FSK 0 FSK 6 FSK 12 FSK 16 FSK 18 Thank you for a little information. The Mecool KM8 is an Android TV device with a TRUE Dolby Audio license, which means Dolby Digital Plus will be converted to standard Dolby Digital when the device is connected to an old AV receiver with only Dolby Digital decoding, however, apps installed in the device must support this as well and Emby app is still not supporting this feature, so please add that support just like the Plex app does, for more information please visit https://developer.dolby.com/ Currently the server is transcoding Dolby Digital Plus into standard Dolby Digital but the idea is to reduce server transcoding as much as possible. I count on your upvote for Emby developers to take this suggestion into account. Thanks.

Currently, the only certified Android TV device with Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio passtrough support is the Nvidia Shield. However, the original Xiaomi Mi Box was the only affordable device with the same support as far as I know, but it was removed altogether when the Android 9 update arrived recently, it appears it was removed due to licencing restrictions. When we play any video in Emby on any Android TV device without passtrough of the aforementioned codecs, the server transcode the audio stream into Dolby Digital. Why not transcoding those lossless audio codecs into PCM instead to keep the same lossless quality?. Maybe adding an option in the app's settings to turn this ON, because not every user will have their devices connected to a multichannel AVR with HDMI inputs, some still use an SPDIF connection so Dolby Digital is still necessary. I just hope that this is possible to implement for the devs. Thank you.

I am super busy most days and I usually end up with some free time late at night, so it was great to see in Plex at a glance how many mins long each movie is, even when sorting by duration there are no time markers. I'd rather have it over ratings showing in the library view if we had to sacrifice something. Thanks for the consideration.

Can you guys create a plugin which display the contents and rating on start of each episode? Netflix, Disney and Amazon has such overlay. It shows if the running episode include violence, flashing lights, rude speech and it shows the age rating.

I have chapter-split all of my audiobooks, but there is no album or folder-level Play/Resume button, meaning I have to select one chapter at a time to listen to my audiobooks in Emby, or else manually add each chapter to a playlist or some such. Please add playback controls for the album/folder instead of just each individual file in the Book content type.

A couple of my channels are often missing guide data, also live sporting events have channels that are added to the lineup without any guide data. I think it would be useful to select a channel name, and schedule a block of time for it to record. That way, even channels with missing or no guide data can be recorded when the user knows the content is there.

Emby downloads on iOS are included in automatic iCloud backups. We need to disable Emby for iCloud backups - it doesn’t appear with toggle like other apps. Cheers and keep up the awesome work!

I couldn't find a existing feature request for this so I created one. I would be nice if all Emby apps had a prompt after so many consecutive episodes are played (maybe 3-4) asking the user if they are still watching and requiring them to answer to continue watching when "Play next episode automatically" is enabled.
