This is for Emby Theater for Tizen and iOS. It seems all these recent updates are to “clean up” the OSD etc. Well, there is tons of room now that you have removed the poster from the video details screen, so can we please get the “Ends at” time back on details? Makes absolutely no sense that that it was removed in the first place. I realize it can be seen after the video is playing by pressing down to get to video info but the whole point is to see if you have time to watch the video BEFORE you start it! Seems pretty straightforward. thx!

Maybe there could be an option to show only unwatched media in the "Because you watched..." and "Because you liked..." sections of the Suggestions Tab? Or is there already? Anyway, I'm using the web client via Firefox on a Windows 7 Ultimate machine...

While setting up a new device or just searching for the next hiccup it would sometimes be useful to be able to jump to the currently playing media which is shown in the server dashboard. Maybe just by clicking on the image of the active device. ATM now, I have to search for the item in the search field (which sometimes work and sometimes not) or need to manually browse through the library to see the media details.

Sometimes when searching for a movie to watch I will set numerous filter criteria (Unplayed - Action - 2014 - PG13) for example. After Ive found what Im looking for its sort of cumbersome to have to go back in and unselect all the above individually. Any chance we can get a "clear all" button of some sort to get you back to viewing your entire library unfiltered? Plex does this and its very convenient. Thanks!

I know a lot of people use versions for things like HD/HDR/3D/mobile versions etc ... however I use versions exclusively for different editions of the same movie, so for things like extended edition, directors cut etc. Most of the time things like run time and even ratings change. However, these changes are not reflected when selecting a different version. It would be nice if they did change. As well, it would be great if somehow we could set the default. For example Tree of Life and Deadpool 2 default to their extended editions, and I'd prefer if all my movies defaulted to theatrical versions and then I can change them from there. Thanks.

Could we have People appear on the Favorites tab please as it would be a quick way to see all the movies/episodes etc for you favorite actor. Yes i could make a collection or playlist - but that needs updating manually You can favorite an Artist/Album Artist and they appear on the favorites tab - but not People/Actors - odd

Hi, The administration already improved a lot since I started using emby. However, it would be nice to be redirected to the media details page when you click on the thumbnail of the "Current playing" items in the administration. Thank's.

I have a couple of android boxes that are not android TV / <5.0 so are incompatible with both the android mobile and android TV apps. Luke has mentioned that there is no technical reason for withholding theater on android. So this is my formal feature request for theater on android

It would be handy to allow for sorting / rearranging of folders for libraries, so that, for example my TV Series folders can be in alphabetical order instead of added order - so I wouldn't have F drive, F drive, F drive, G drive, G drive, L drive, another F drive, then M drive, back to another G drive...

I was wondering if the metadata scraper or library scanner could scan a .actors folder within each movie to populate it imagesbyname folder.

Following from: It may help folks with an easier migration if Emby could also add support for the similar Plex-style id tags in the folder. This way folks don't need to rename their content to the Emby-syle ID tags to get it identified correctly. Can we get the option to filter content within Live TV / Programs using such apps as the Emby Android TV app. Either a filter option, or two new categories. "New Shows This Week", "New Seasons This Week". Otherwise, a filter option to select "New", and sort by "Community/Critic Rating".

Please add an option to "Always play SDH Subtitle" under Subtitle Mode. Emby currently always pick Default or Forced, but SDH is the only subtitle I use, and it gets annoying having to manually change it for every movie and every episode that I watch.

i have thousands of obscure things... lots of shorts, things not on imdb, alternate versions of things etc.. and every time i have to move and redo my setup/re-import everything i have to spend days identifying things in my movie library... but there is no real way to do it... have to manually add an image and name etc... with plex i can just click one button UNMATCH and it removes the usually misidentified match/metadata and replaces it with the thumbnail and filename. just finding the mismatched items that aren't on imdb is a full days work ; ) : ( i'd kill for an unmatch button : )

We all can admit we watch and consume to much content these days and there is stuff we recorded that goes by the way side. While I love the recommended suggestions and the more like this features in Emby I would really appreciate a toggle similiar to the one currently found in home screen settings for hiding fully played content from the latest media rows which I personally find immensely helpful. Thats basically it. If you're like me and tend to see a lot of watched items in your suggestions/more like this areas and would like a toggle to hide fully played content from suggestions/more like this; then please hit the like button on this post to let the developers know you support the idea. I think this would be immensenly helpful/power feature to slip into the official 4.8 release if it doesnt require to much work and testing. Especially useful for those with large collections or huge backlogs of stuff they have forgotten about. Thanks. BAS

I like the way the show details pop up when I mouse over the guide. But is there a way to adjust the time before it pops up? Or disable it? It keeps popping up while I'm scrolling using the mouse wheel. Thanks!!

I'd like to request that the Playlist library have a displayed category and, "widget" on the homescreen in the similar fashion that movies, TV shows, music are shown. I create topical/seasonal playlists that I'd like my family members to see displayed from the homescreen with "recently added" carousel style. Currently, to the best of my knowledge, playlists are only accessible via their shortcut in the, "My Media" section. Thanks for your consideration!

I would love the ability to increase the size of subtitles on the different platforms, specially android, chrome and roku... One additional thing that would be great would be the ability to change font color, outline, drop shadow, font background... Thank you

Making this official now: Can we find a way of either reading already created playlists eg for WMP or iTunes or import those playlists into MB.

My apologies if this has already been requested, but it would be great if—like videos—we could see the format and quality of audio files. I've recently migrated from Subsonic, and it provides this information (see attached image). Some reasons why you might want to see this: When manually "deduplicating" it's nice to know the quality or the format (e.g., FLAC vs. MP3) to ensure you delete the correct file. Thanks to Spotify/Tidal/(insert you favorite streaming service here), I've been purchasing lots of used cheap CDs. I have a *huge* music collection, so in addition to checking to make sure I don't already have an album, it's nice to know the format in case I purchased a lossy version back in the day. Ditto for compilations. For the same reason above, when creating playlists, I prefer to add the highest quality song—eventually I'll deduplicate my collection, so I want to make sure I don't remove the version in the playlist. NOTE: if this has already been requested, kindly point me to the post and I'll "like" it.

Would it be feasible to have a dialogue box that alerts you when you are about to add an item to a playlist that already exists on that playlist? Thanks.

Hi, little backstory: Over the weekend I upgraded the server Emby is running from Ubuntu 14.04 to 16.04. Unfortunately after the upgrade Emby mixed up the configured users so I ended up without a user with admin permissions in Emby and therefore decided to delete /var/lib/emby-server and start fresh. Setup wise I have one system (Synology NAS) providing the files and another system actually running Emby. It happens every now and then (every day if you don't remove the "clean database" from sheduled tasks, that Emby decided to clean out my library, when he can't find the media files (because the NAS is turned off). While it makes sense to remove an item from the database, that cannot be found anymore Emby should become suspicious of every item in the library vanished. Feature suggestion: if a mere ls on the folder of the library already does not give any results, skip clean for the library.

I know there is already the option to update the metadata of a library every 30, 60, or 90 days. The problem is when new TV episodes are added to the library before the metadata provider has a chance to add the information, often things like the episode title or the plot are missing. The information is usually up to date a few hours later. It would be great if TV episodes could be refreshed automatically at a set interval, say 6 hours, after being added to the library.

Allow end user to play video in any orientation or even make video player respect system's auto rotate feature. I think it's a small feature but can improve content viewing experience for mobile devices. Currently, auto rotate works on my iPad, but the app crashes badly on portrait.

Can we have an option to flatten series if there are XX episodes or less. Just provides the ability to eliminate one frustrating click. I wouldn't want it on my 1,000+ episode Looney Tunes series. However, when you only have one or two seasons in a series, it helps drill down easier.
