Is it possible to unset the default player.. I would like to set behaviour on "Echo Mancave" such when i dont specify a player, the playback is on "Echo Mancave" I dont want to "set the default player to Echo Mancave", because then when my wife asks Emby to play something on "Echo Kitchen" it will play on "Echo Mancave". Is it possible to unset the default player paradigm entirely so that commands issued to a device playback to the commanded device (without having to add 'on device suffix' to every command.) I suggest that default player behaviour is granular to each Alexa device... reason being that if i want to use an Alexa to control the projector room, i might well set the default player for "Alexa ProjectorRoom" to the HTPC responsible for playback in the projector room. But its unlikely that i want Alexa Kitchen's default player to be the HTPC in the projector room. thanks for considering.

Is downloading subtitles working for you? I have OpenSubtitles plugin installed. I have migrated my OpenSubtitles account from .org to .com I have entered my login details in the plugin settings but so far I have not managed to download even a single subtitle. I'm getting "No results found." message

Hello here, this is my setup and it does not work : 3.8 on Android TV Nvidia shield. When I download and play a "next episode" it takes default values regardless the very same subtitle exists.

Hi, I see 4.8 was released. I looked around all the menu options, can't seem to figure how how to share a playlist. I see the option to "Manage Collaboration", but that always defaults back to private even after changing it. Any advise? update: I see my mistake; I have to enable sharing in the user profile.

In Settings > Home Screen, please add "Composers" to the options for Default Screen in Music libraries. I think this option would be popular among classical music enthusiasts.

Can we get the option to filter content within Live TV / Programs using such apps as the Emby Android TV app. Either a filter option, or two new categories. "New Shows This Week", "New Seasons This Week". Otherwise, a filter option to select "New", and sort by "Community/Critic Rating".

We all can admit we watch and consume to much content these days and there is stuff we recorded that goes by the way side. While I love the recommended suggestions and the more like this features in Emby I would really appreciate a toggle similiar to the one currently found in home screen settings for hiding fully played content from the latest media rows which I personally find immensely helpful. Thats basically it. If you're like me and tend to see a lot of watched items in your suggestions/more like this areas and would like a toggle to hide fully played content from suggestions/more like this; then please hit the like button on this post to let the developers know you support the idea. I think this would be immensenly helpful/power feature to slip into the official 4.8 release if it doesnt require to much work and testing. Especially useful for those with large collections or huge backlogs of stuff they have forgotten about. Thanks. BAS

It would be handy to allow for sorting / rearranging of folders for libraries, so that, for example my TV Series folders can be in alphabetical order instead of added order - so I wouldn't have F drive, F drive, F drive, G drive, G drive, L drive, another F drive, then M drive, back to another G drive...

Guess I'm making it official FR: Could we please get parent TV show poster - or at least parent TV show thumb as it is done in Continue Watching Home Screen row - for TV episode playback session in Now Playing Dashboard section, as current implementation with episode thumb is neither informative nor visually appealing. Please add an option to "Always play SDH Subtitle" under Subtitle Mode. Emby currently always pick Default or Forced, but SDH is the only subtitle I use, and it gets annoying having to manually change it for every movie and every episode that I watch.

Can you allow add to collection from the Google TV app? Can do this on computer but not on the TV

If an episode is missing the Release Date, could "Year" be displayed in its place on the episode page?

Hi, I wonder if it is possible to add a lock screen button to the smartphone version of the Android app? In many ocassions rain water or other unintentional screen touches can make the video jump to a point before or after what we are watching and it is annoying. I believe Netflix app has this fearure. @Luke Is there any news on this, the list of incomprehensible (because not lived like this in DE) make it incredibly exhausting for the users to use the actual age restrictions. The list is getting unbearably longer. The metadata is set to German. Actually, something like genre mapping for age ratings only should solve the problem, do you already have something on this? If I replace all the metadata, the TMDB (at least for German age ratings), which is largely unmaintained, is still used today; mapping to, for example, 4 age ratings does not take place: FSK 0 FSK 6 FSK 12 FSK 16 FSK 18 Thank you for a little information. Hey! I've seen several threads about this feature but I didn't see any in the features requests section (sorry if it's a duplicate I may not have looked well). I would like to have a way to display only the series collections like for the movies with the collection tab. Displaying them directly in the middle of the series is not what I want even if for the moment there is only this solution. Several solutions could be implemented like - The addition of an extra tab (it will be too many tabs). - The choice of tabs displayed to remove and put others - Remove the tabs collection button and create a button underneath (I don't know, I'm proposing things ahah) etc... I don't know how it could be implemented I trust you completely to find the best way (if it validated to be implemented).

This is for Emby Theater for Tizen and iOS. It seems all these recent updates are to “clean up” the OSD etc. Well, there is tons of room now that you have removed the poster from the video details screen, so can we please get the “Ends at” time back on details? Makes absolutely no sense that that it was removed in the first place. I realize it can be seen after the video is playing by pressing down to get to video info but the whole point is to see if you have time to watch the video BEFORE you start it! Seems pretty straightforward. thx!

I am super busy most days and I usually end up with some free time late at night, so it was great to see in Plex at a glance how many mins long each movie is, even when sorting by duration there are no time markers. I'd rather have it over ratings showing in the library view if we had to sacrifice something. Thanks for the consideration.

Emby downloads on iOS are included in automatic iCloud backups. We need to disable Emby for iCloud backups - it doesn’t appear with toggle like other apps. Cheers and keep up the awesome work!

Hi, Can you make THETVDB available in all catagories... movies / tvshow / etc / as well as seasons meta download?

Allow end user to play video in any orientation or even make video player respect system's auto rotate feature. I think it's a small feature but can improve content viewing experience for mobile devices. Currently, auto rotate works on my iPad, but the app crashes badly on portrait.

Hello, in my collection I use the age rating information in German formats, unfortunately Emby does not seem to work with this or does not know the German designations. For age ratings in the format PG, M, R and so on this works fine. The German variants DE:FSK 12 / DE:FSK-12 / DE:FSK12 / DE:12 / DE:ab 12 on the other hand do not work, so the age rating simply does not work with German metadata. It shows the correct data at the movie information, but ignores it when i set an age. Am I doing something wrong or is this simply missing? If it is missing, will it come in the future? Unfortunately I could not find any information about this so far. Would be nice to known, thanks.

Can you guys create a plugin which display the contents and rating on start of each episode? Netflix, Disney and Amazon has such overlay. It shows if the running episode include violence, flashing lights, rude speech and it shows the age rating.
