Every MB user can create his own playlists, but only users with management rights can delete only their own playlists in the Metadata Manager? Am i missing something?

Hi All, A question mostly aimed at the long time devs of MB3 - Due to people having occasional issues with my hosting I would ideally like to move it to somewhere else. However, the files need to be hosted at the root level of the server and must be accessible by IP address as that is all that is enter-able with the TV's? Anyone got any suggestions?

Hello, I know the XBMB3C addon hasn't been developed fully for music, and I don't usually use it for music either. But I recently tried the Aeon MQ5 skin and really liked it. Unlike a couple other skins, there is no option to use the local XBMC library for music, so I decided to try out the addon for music. Is there a setting somewhere to sort individual albums so the songs are ordered by track number? I clicked "sort by" but there wasn't an option there. Could this be easily added? All I want is the ability to click on an album and have the songs appear in the usual order as on the CD. Thanks.

Greetings, I noticed the application updated today (or sometime last night), and I am now getting a strange error Stats Server 3.0.5326.13255 on W8.1x64 Clients with issue Openelec Intel x64 4.0.6 XBMC-arm 13.2 on LG G2 Running xbmb3c from repo and Aeon Nox from repo The issue I'm getting was not present last night (though I'm still only in the testing phase on both clients and not using it as a daily driver just yet) I have XBMCs video library settings set to "Show Information" and XBMB3C set to "Play" This was working, and it is pretty neat (to me) since it pulls disc art and people info from MB3s metadata (I have "People" and "Overview" turned OFF in xbmb3c settings per xnappo's notice that the nox skin does this without those settings turned on in xbmb3c) When starting playback, I get a "Error: Script Failed" notice and a popup saying "One or more items failed to play" where I have to press OK for it to leave the screen. However, the requested file is playing back in the background when those popup After I press "OK" the video stops playing ? ? ? I reproduced this as minimally as possible with info logging, and it happened towards the very end of the log. The log was about 40MB, so I can't upload the whole thing. I took a snip of the beginning and end and put on pastebin Beginning http://pastebin.com/9FD4n3gC End http://pastebin.com/sUcNy8yy

Hi first I would like to say how well xbmb3c is working now. I have been trying it off and on for a while (this being the first time since the start of the summer) and it really is good enough to be used as the back end to xbmc. For me the only thing that my family are missing from the main xbmc features is auto play next video. This just allows us to put a TV series on and we get a few episodes to do jobs around the house without being shouted for. This is by no means a deal breaker it would just NE nice to have it as part of xbmb3c. Thanks again everyone's hard work on this awesome addon we really appreciate it. Hi all, I'm using an android minix box connected to my TV, however it doesn't seem as compatible running on a TV as say Plex (sorry for swearing!). For example, the pause/play button on the remote does nothing - you have to "click" on the screen with the mouse remote. Also, if you change the TVs aspect ratio, say wide zoom, the progress bar along with the pause button can disappear into the screen. Plex doesn't seem to do this - be really cool if you guys could implement something! Cheers,

Does xbmbc3 handle external players the same as normal xbmc?
-
This has started happening about 3-4 minutes ago. I'm unable to play anything as I'm getting an error Script failed! XBMB3C. I think something broke in the last update, because the browsing has become really slow as well.
-
Hi, When I enter XBMB3C and click on "Music" or "All Music", it posp up the error "Script failed: XBMB3C". The web client works fine wih my music collection though. I attach the XBMC log in the post, and please let me what I should do to avoid the issue. Thanks! xbmc.zip

Last couple weeks I was on a quest to find perfect software to handle my movie and music collection... I tried everything... After I saw MediaBrowser Server in action I was hooked... It is the solution! But... MediaBrowser Theater is miles away form meeting my needs... It needs at least some kind of music collection support. Anyway... So far, XBMC front end looks very promising. I never used it before, so maybe I just missed something. There some themes that don't really support mouse.. I figured out that "I" open Information screen. I really like Dark version of Arctic theme for ex... Does it support trailers? Not like collection of trailers, but like trailer for each movie.. The only theme that I saw with Trailer button is Titan port from MediaPortal, but it installs YouTube add-on and offers me to choose trailer... This button has nothing to do with MediaBrowser, right? I saw that MediaBrowser already contains links to just one trailer, that's enough for me... Is there a theme that uses that link? And how to get to it?

Could the Unwatched count on artwork be bigger? I can't see it on even the big "Thumbnails" view where I most want to see it (they just look like green dots).

I'm using XBMB3C 0.9.532 with XBMC 13.2 Gotham. My media stubs appear in my media library as expected. But when I want to play them, nothing happens. This popup message should open: Which is what I have in the file Barry Lyndon (1975).dvd.disc: <discstub> <title>DVD #47</title> </discstub> In the xbmc.log I can see that the XBMB3C is trying to play the file as it was an actual DVD, and of course, it can't find the files. 16:59:20 T:5512 NOTICE: ===== XBMB3C START ===== 16:59:20 T:5512 NOTICE: XBMB3C -> running Python: sys.version_info(major=2, minor=7, micro=5, releaselevel='final', serial=0) 16:59:20 T:5512 NOTICE: XBMB3C -> running XBMB3C: 0.9.532 16:59:20 T:5512 NOTICE: 13.2 Git:20140817-0f3db05 16:59:20 T:5512 NOTICE: XBMB3C -> Platform: Windows 16:59:20 T:5512 NOTICE: XBMB3C -> LogLevel: 0 16:59:20 T:5512 NOTICE: XBMB3C 0 -> Version : 13.2 - {u'major': 13, u'tag': u'stable', u'minor': 2, u'revision': u'20140817-0f3db05'} 16:59:20 T:5512 NOTICE: PLAY ACTION URL PARTS : ['LANBOX:8096', 'e07852e02879f53c90c09bd05592cc93'] 16:59:21 T:2588 NOTICE: Thread FileCache start, auto delete: false 16:59:21 T:5512 NOTICE: XBMB3C getPlayUrl 16:59:21 T:5512 NOTICE: XBMB3C isNetworkQualitySufficient -> TRUE default 16:59:21 T:5512 NOTICE: XBMB3C getPlayUrl -> Direct Play 16:59:22 T:5512 NOTICE: XBMB3C isNetworkQualitySufficient -> TRUE default 16:59:22 T:3460 NOTICE: DVDPlayer: Opening: smb://USERNAME@Lanbox/ex503/Peliculas/Barry Lyndon (1975)/Barry Lyndon (1975).dvd.disc/VIDEO_TS/VIDEO_TS.IFO 16:59:22 T:3460 WARNING: CDVDMessageQueue(player)::Put MSGQ_NOT_INITIALIZED 16:59:22 T:5896 NOTICE: Thread DVDPlayer start, auto delete: false 16:59:22 T:5896 NOTICE: Creating InputStream 16:59:22 T:5896 ERROR: Error on dvdnav_open 16:59:22 T:5896 ERROR: CDVDPlayer::OpenInputStream - error opening [smb://Matias:@Lanbox/ex503/Peliculas/Barry Lyndon (1975)/Barry Lyndon (1975).dvd.disc/VIDEO_TS/VIDEO_TS.IFO] 16:59:22 T:5896 NOTICE: CDVDPlayer::OnExit() 16:59:22 T:5896 NOTICE: CDVDPlayer::OnExit() deleting input stream 16:59:22 T:3460 NOTICE: CDVDPlayer::CloseFile() 16:59:22 T:3460 NOTICE: DVDPlayer: waiting for threads to exit 16:59:22 T:3460 NOTICE: DVDPlayer: finished waiting 16:59:22 T:3460 NOTICE: CDVDPlayer::CloseFile() 16:59:22 T:3460 NOTICE: DVDPlayer: waiting for threads to exit 16:59:22 T:3460 NOTICE: DVDPlayer: finished waiting 16:59:22 T:2444 NOTICE: XBMB3C Service -> onPlayBackStopped 16:59:23 T:3348 NOTICE: Thread LanguageInvoker start, auto delete: false 16:59:23 T:3348 NOTICE: -->Python Interpreter Initialized<-- 16:59:23 T:3348 NOTICE: ===== XBMB3C START ===== 16:59:23 T:3348 NOTICE: XBMB3C -> running Python: sys.version_info(major=2, minor=7, micro=5, releaselevel='final', serial=0) 16:59:23 T:3348 NOTICE: XBMB3C -> running XBMB3C: 0.9.532 16:59:23 T:3348 NOTICE: 13.2 Git:20140817-0f3db05 16:59:23 T:3348 NOTICE: XBMB3C -> Platform: Windows 16:59:23 T:3348 NOTICE: XBMB3C -> LogLevel: 0 16:59:23 T:3348 NOTICE: XBMB3C 0 -> Version : 13.2 - {u'major': 13, u'tag': u'stable', u'minor': 2, u'revision': u'20140817-0f3db05'} 16:59:23 T:3348 NOTICE: ===== XBMB3C STOP ===== 16:59:24 T:4924 NOTICE: Thread FileCache start, auto delete: false 16:59:28 T:3460 NOTICE: Previous line repeats 1 times. 16:59:28 T:3460 NOTICE: Storing total System Uptime 16:59:28 T:3460 NOTICE: Saving settings 16:59:28 T:3460 NOTICE: stop all 16:59:31 T:5512 NOTICE: ===== XBMB3C STOP ===== I found this thread http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=178180&pid=1623771#pid1623771 which led me to this code: Utils.py. Hi, Is it still possible to configure "Play from Stream instead of SMB"? It seems that the configuration items are re-organized and I couldn't find this option to configure "Play from Stream instead of SMB" anymore. I need it because otherwise I don't get menu for Bluray ISOs. Thank you in advance!

I'm not sure the best way to implement what I am looking for, but have not been able to find a way to do what I want. I am looking for a way to have accounts that do not require password entry on our HTPC system, but would from the webclient/apps. I guess really what I would be happy with is something that bypasses password entry if the client PC is on a specific subnet, and requires it otherwise. There is probably some better way of doing this that people already are using, but password entry via remote is annoying for my 6 year old, and having no password for the web client is a bad idea...

I periodically get a script error and the following exception in my log when trying to view a "Folder" of my Library containing TV shows. I can't see any obvious file or state causing this problem. I have installed the new version and a big thank you to @@chessdragon136 for all his hard work, but I do have two small issues, firstly the graphic used in the menu for each TV season is not rendering (what is it looking for on the server?). Secondly when I scroll down the list the whole screen moves up (see attached image).

1) Is there a way to flatten seasons like you can in the standard XBMC TV shows section such that all episodes are shown in one list? 2) Deleting an episode shows a progress bar and takes several seconds to complete. Seems unusually long for this relatively simple task. It also does not seem to delete the thumbnail jpg associated with the deleted episode? Thanks for your help.
