I've seen other posts about 1.1.65 being the fix for this issue, but running 1.1.62 I'm not having any issues, let it update to 1.1.65 and it won't sync at all. I think I accidentally had it set to debug logging... I am going to roll back to stable now, but I can recreate tomorrow with info logging if needed. Currently it is possible to accidentally start more than one instance of a manual sync...

So a couple things, first I now have 3 entries labeled Emby in the Add On listing. One for 1.1.63, and the other three for .01. My sync gets to 9% (same file every time) and then crashes with a "Library sync thread has exited!" error. Will attach log in a second, just need to switch PCs for that.

When an episode was (in my case more than 90%) watched I'd get a dialog asking to delete or not upon stopping playback or EOF. I don't seem to be getting that anymore, though I can't say exactly when it stopped asking. Its possible its related to moving from a MB customized skin to a generic, but thought I'd mention it and ask if there's a way to get that feature back? I use it a lot!

I've just installed the Kodi addon and after the initial sync, I am missing most of my albums. In the emby web interface I have over 150 albums, where as in Kodi I have just 6. The addon has synced all my songs, however most of them are tagged as (Unknown) for the album. As I say they are correctly appearing in albums on the web interface and they are all correctly tagged. Can anyone help?

I am using Emby for Kodi 1.1.53, and in my music library, when I sort music albums after "Tracks", multidisc albums don't get split up into their individual albums. The titles are ordered like 01 - foo 01 - foobar 02 - foofoo 02 - foofoobar ... This same thing worked without problems when scanning the same audiofiles directly to kodi. Music is properly tagged, either MP3 or FLAC, with the disc tag set.

The Directors node in the music video section of the library does not show any info. It worked previously. Tested with the last stable version 1.1.39 and it was still working. So somewhere between 1.1.39 and 1.1.53 it stopped working. I am not sure if a log is needed for this. Let me know. Cheers, Long Man

Hi everyone! Today I've upgraded my homeserver build and started my library from scratch, as the old one was quite messy. As a part of that cleanup action, I also wiped my Kodi installation and tried installing everything from scratch again, including the Emby addon. The authentication against my Emby server seems to work great, however not a single sync occurs and all sections remain empty without any items. I am running the Emby Addon v1.1.55 together with Kodi Isengard 15.2. I've attached a censored logfile which I took after setting the loglevel of the addon to debug. Hi, I am currently running Emby foir Kodi 1.1.54. I don't know what happen recently but when I go in Artist, I now se every "Artist". I used to see only the "Album Artist" and that's the way I liked it. I am not sure if it's a change in the addon or with Kodi but I can't seem to find a way to only see the Album Artist again. I have several Pi 2's and after a while the stop recieving updates until they are restarted. Looking at the log files I am seeing an error about the database being locked at the time it stops syncing. Normally I use Kodi 16 but I went ahead and downgraded my openelec to see if I got the error on Kodi 15 which I still do. What does use local paths instead of addon reddirect for playback do? does this mean it will show my library files as smb links? instead of the plugin: ? Is one or the other better? will using the smb be able to keep track of my media on emby server? like whats playing,resume etc?

Morning, I have noticed on the last couple of versions of the Addon I have started getting coverart even thou I have got it disabled in the config settings. I have manually deleted the textures files twice and resented but still get coverart. Any ideas why I'm getting them? Regards Scalda

I hide my account and it set up auto login which works in mbc (after a few bumps) however i can not get auto login to work in the Samsung app i manual login and go to settings and set default user as myself and log out and it stills forces me to login in i do the mbc trick of setting hide off and auto logging in and saving the default user as myself auto login option and then re hide user but it does not save my auto login for said user.

Since the 1.1.50 update i no longer have the little now playing strip along the bottom of the interface. Have checked with 2 different Kodi devices, the Asus ION3 in the lounge and the Raspberry Pi in the bedroom, and checked using the Android App on 2 x Nexus 5's and a Nexus 7 and also the web interface. I have Emby for Kodi installed and the server configured with Cinema Mode enabled to play 2 trailers then my intro video. I use MPC-HC as an external player and configured in playcorefactory.xml as follows: <rules action="prepend"> <rule filetypes="mkv|mp4|m4v|mov|m2v|avi|divx|ts|mpeg|mpg|ogm|iso|wmv|flv" player="MPC-HC"> <rule name="streams" protocols="daap|m2ts|rtv|rtsp|rtmp|rtmpe|http|https|rtsp|mms|rtp|pvr" player="DVDPlayer"/> </rule> </rules> (Intro video is in .m2ts format) In previous versions of the add-on, it would play the 2 trailers and intro video in DVDPlayer then switch to MPC-HC to play the movie (mkv file). Now when I select a movie, it plays the 2 trailers and intro video in DVDPlayer, then plays the movie in DVDPlayer as well. It never switches to MPC-HC. I did notice that previously, when it was playing the trailers and intro video, the Kodi status bar (that shows when you move the mouse) would show the name of the trailer (or intro video) and would allow me to skip the trailer/video and go right to the movie with the ->| button. Now, it only shows the name of the movie, (even though the trailer/intro is currently playing) and doesn't allow me to skip them, e.g. nothing happens when I click that button. I remember reading somewhere that Cinema Mode creates a playlist for Kodi, (which would explain how I could skip the trailers/intro), but now it seems like it doesn't do that anymore. Now it appears to concatenate them all together into one. I'm using direct play (SMB path is reachable from Kodi machine), but not direct stream, (play from HTTP isn't enabled) or local paths for the movie. Hi! Please, could you add the BRAZILIAN PORTUGUESE (PT-BR) language option for subtitles download? Brazilian Portuguese is *VERY* different from regular Portuguese - the only language available for sub download right now in MediaBrowser3 Server. Opensubtitles has distinct sections for both languages (Portuguese and Brazilian Portuguese). Until the Brazilian Portuguese option is added, the download subtitles feature is unusable for us Brazilians for now... Thanks for the great work so far! Dan

I think the title says most of it. It is one feature of the new HDHomerun DVR that I like. If it could be implemented here it would be awesome. As an example - Let's say I want to fill in my collection of Seinfeld episodes. That show is shown on TBS all the time. It's no longer running as a series and I have been able to record about 56 shows from various seasons that are in my TV Series folder. What if I could set a Series recording and set it to "all shows" but in the background Emby TV would recognize that the episode coming up already exists in my TV Series folder and so skip that episode. The next episode does not exist in my folder so Emby TV records that one. That would be awesome for someone who may want to create their own Netflix type experience using the Server software and do it legally by recording the episode as opposed to downloading it somewhere else. What do you think?

For my shows that have "Specials" episodes, all of the specials are displayed in the listings for each season - like this: I did some googling on the subject, and according to Kodi threads, the way this should work is that Kodi should use the info provided on thetvdb for "aired before" so that the episodes will show up only in the appropriate seasons, and inserted before the appropriate episode. Apparently though, for any specials episode that doesn't include this info in the Kodi database, they'll be shown at the top of each seaon's list, just like what I'm seeing. I look in the metadata manager and see that Emby has brought in the info - see here it should show these specials in season 3 before episode 1 So I suspect these fields are just not included in the data to be synced. I did open up the Kodi database in a sqlite browser, but couldn't decipher the columns to figure out where the data should be so can't tell if that's truly the case.

Hi, let me start by how much i like Emby and Emby for Kodi. Although not perfect yet, it makes syncing content on multiple platforms so easy! Thank you for your dedication! Now to my problem. Every video file i play in Kodi via the Emby for Kodi plugin, the sound quality is very poor. By poor I mean it sounds "metalic" as when playing a mp3 with a very low bitrate. My Emby for Kodi settings are "Play from http instead of SMB" [enabled] and "Video Quality" [2.0Mbps] (I tried changing the quality to a higher value, but it didnt change my problem) What seems to happen is that while transcoding the audio bitrate is lowered significantly resulting in my described poor audio quality. When I am playing the video locally in Kodi via the Emby for Kodi plugin its sounds great. The Emby mediainfo for the file in question shows a bitrate of 375 kbps while the audio stream in Kodi only shows 130 kbps. (See screenshots attached) When I am playing the same videofile over the WebApp it sounds good. I guess that is because it shows me 384 kbps for the audio (See screenshot) On a sidenote, I dont get how a file has 375kbps and then when i play it on the WebApp it suddenly has 384 kbps... I also have attached a screenshot of the mouse-over menu in the Serversettings while I am playing the file via the WebApp I am running Win7 with Kodi 15.0 and Emby for Kodi Stable Repo 1.1.13 and Emby Server Version 3.0.5675.1. It would be great if you could choose any of the colors from the material design palette as the main color for Emby for Android TV. The app itself is beautiful and well laid out, but personally I really don't like the forest green color in the left sidebar and also in the media thumbnails shown on the home screen recommendations.

Hi all, I have a problem using the Emby for Kodi and hoping someone can help me or atleast confirm they have the same problem so I know its not a problem with my sever. Everything syncs fine or atleast no errors on the screen but when I enter some of my TV series there is no seasons or episodes in the folder. Its shows how many episodes I have on the main page for every series but when I enter only some have any files in them. I have tried this on 2 different clients including the PC the server is installed on with the same results. Both PC's are running windows 7 64bit Hope that makes sense but if you need me to try and explain a bit better let me know.
