Now that the ability to sync home videos has been added in the most recent beta build, i'm sure you've been looking forward to the inevitable questions regarding when it can be removed...sorry about that. So that's my question! We have an option to sync music or not; could we add the option to sync home videos or not? These end up in the "Movies" category of Kodi, and anything from that category in Emby for myself is very out of place in that area of Kodi. In the meantime I've had to remove the category from Emby entirely to get kodi in order, but hopefully that won't have to be my permanent solution as I'd still like to be able to access this content from the emby app on my phone or roku (where it does not show up in the Movies section). Other than that the new beta build is working great! The new sync speed is unbelievable. Faster than kodi's own sync, even. Thanks for all the hard work!

Completed Library no longer auto/background updating with alway on Kodi on beta 1.1.72
kryptonyte posted a topic in Kodi
Hi, it seems with the last couple of betas of Emby for Kodi my Kodi library now no longer auto/background updates/syncs. My Nvidia Shield is always left on with Kodi running (sleep/shutdown disabled). My NAS is also always on and media files are regularly auto copied to the monitored Library folders within Emby. It was previously working in the past with the Kodi library updating almost instantly when Emby was updated with new content. The Emby web interface does appear to update in real time whenever new files are added, but Kodi now no longer auto/background updates/syncs the library - unless a user initiated manual sync or Kodi itself is manually restarted. Whenever a new Beta version of Emby for Kodi is updated, I always do a manual entire library reset on Kodi to ensure the local database has the newest updates. As this issue recently started happening, I just performed a complete uninstall of Kodi on my Nvidia Shield and re-installed and re-setup Emby for Kodi Beta on Kodi Jarvis 16.0 Beta 5 (in case something was corrupted on my setup). Unfortunately this did not resolve the issue as auto/background library updates/syncing still are not occurring. My setup: Emby Linux Mono Version 3.0.5785.0 (running on Asustor AS 7010T x64 running latest v2.5.1 linux firmware) Emby for Kodi Sync Queue on Emby Server version 1.0.5782.13378 Emby for Kodi Beta 1.1.72 Kodi Jarvis 16.0 Beta 5 for Android (running on Nvidia Shield Android TV v2.1) Vanilla Kodi install, running standard Confluence skin with only a couple of simple other addins: Oz Weather, HD Homerun & Multicam (view security cameras) plugins Wired ethernet network The below two media files were recently updated in the Emby Library. They appeared on the Emby web interface immediately, however they did not auto/background update/sync to the Kodi library until I manually restarted Kodi and it performed its standard startup scan: The Fifth Element (1997).m2ts was changed around 2016-01-15 10:39 Heroes Reborn_S01E12_Company Woman.mkv was changed around 2016-01-15 12:05 Logs: No auto/background library updates/sync Kodi log during the time these files were added: http://xbmclogs.com/prvxsh9na Emby Server Log during the time these files were added: https://www.dropbox.com/s/hjjrakm70brk3w5/server-63588426305.txt?dl=0 After Kodi restart Logs: Kodi manually restarted and Emby for Kodi Beta performed the startup scan & then detected new these files: http://xbmclogs.com/p0obfwkhg Emby Server Log during the time Kodi was restarted and startup scan ran: https://www.dropbox.com/s/qo4js18nf9evbur/server-63588426305-post-restart.txt?dl=0 Thanks for your help and let me know if you need any further information. -

Hey, just discovered that the new emby version doesn't play anything when the "Force transcode 1080p/H265" option is activated. Hello, Since 1.1.68 beta, I have always an error when the fast sync tries to delete certain elements of the database. In the log, you can see that the system attempts to delete a record in a table that doesn't seem to exist in the database. Here is the log file containing the error in question. To restore the correct information, I have to reset the database and made a init sync again. I use the lastest version of the plugin (1.1.69) kodi.log

I haven't updated for a while, so reset database and let it sync. I checked back and it was doing a Music sync. This has always been OFF in my setup, so has the default now changed to ON? Also, Enable Emby Cinema Mode is defaulted to ON. This should honour the server-side setting, which in my case is OFF. I think the "Maximum items to request at once from server" has reset, as I always had it set to 500, but it seems it's now 200. No major issue, just thought I'd post my findings. Thanks

Hi @@Angelblue05 - I mentioned this before but was not able to recreate. Now I have it reproducible. In my views I have a 'Kids' section which is unselected from being grouped in movies. In the 'View Order' section, if I move 'Kids' above 'Movies' then the label for movies becomes 'Kids' during the syncing, and at the end I have two 'Kids' sections (one real, one pointing to movies'. If you can't recreate, I can debug further.. xnappo

I have Jarvis b4, emby 1.1.69, Titan 3.6.16. For the most part the music side of things is functioning ok. But I have some issues which I will try to list below. 1. Albums from different artists with the same name seem to be displayed as one. Greatest hits are common for this issue. 2. The other issue I have noticed is that every once in a while an artist will have all of their albums listed as one single album, and in that one album there will be all their songs listed. Arctic Monkeys has this issue for me. Note I recently used Musicbrainz Picard to fix all my tags, this has been working perfectly for a few months now, the Emby server/Emby Apps display everything perfectly just Kodi with emby addon that does not.

Been getting this for the last couple of weeks, tried to reset the database as recommended elsewhere but it doesn't seem to make any difference log

I noticed a couple of places where the old disableMusic setting is referenced instead of the new enableMusic. kodimonitor.py (66) utils.py (161)

There appear to be some InfoLabels that are empty depending on where a movie was launched from. This only occurs when using emby plugin paths. The problem goes away when using direct paths as set through the addon config. Kodi 15.2 (also tried Jarvis nightly B1) Emby Addon 1.1.59 Skin Aeon MQ 6 3.2.0 Windows 10 (also tried OS X) The debug log doesn't show any errors when starting a movie with either path setting. Example 1: Launch movie from a list view VideoPlayer.Cast and VideoPlayer.CastAndRole are empty on DialogFullScreenInfo ( I didn't test any other labels ) Example 2: Launch same movie from DialogVideoInfo Movie poster image is empty, but Cast/CastAndRole are populated on DialogFullScreenInfo

I recently updated to 1.1.68 on Kodi Jarvis beta3 and I have noticed issues with the Emby nodes that are accessible from Video Addons > Emby. Issue #1 - On my main profile I have the Emby settings to configured to combine all library folders for TV and Movies into a single TV and single Movie view. When I reset my Kodi database, I now have duplicate views for Movies. Both bring up the same listing of items. Issue #2 - On a different Emby user I have two libraries separated from the rest. One is for Kids TV shows (labeled Kids) and another is for Kids Movies (labeled Kids Movies). When I access Emby through the Video Addons, I get a similar duplicate issue with movies, however both entries are labeled Kids Movies. Both entries give me the combined list of Movie items + Kids Movie Items. Instead of seeing a TV entry, I see a Kids entry that shows me the combination of normal TV items as well as the Kids TV items. In the interest of debugging, I looked in the userdata\library\video folder for this profile and I see folders for Emby - Kids, Emby - Kids Movies, movies, tvshows and musicvideos. On the other profile I see Emby - TV, Emby - Movies, movies, tvshows, and movies. I have tried multiple database resets to see if this helps but it does not. On my main profile I tested out removing a one of the Movie Libraries I had from the combined movies view and it did show as a separate item in Kodi. However, I still see a duplicate movie entry in the Add On. Any thoughts? I have created a debug log here (47MB): https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/9445055/kodi.log

This is the first version I've had a chance to try since the refactor. The option to enable syncing the Specials Ordering is missing, and it doesn't appear to be syncing the specials info. Specials that were showing inline in the regular seasons are not showing there - only in the separate "Specials" season. Was removing the specials sync option intentional? Should it be on by default now, but isn't?

All my TV shows are working as expected except for one that is all strm files. They have been scrapped and added to the library correctly but when I try to play them Kodi says file no longer available. I expect the path in Kodi for an episode of this TV show to be: smb://sophocles/TV Shows/RWBY/Season 1/s01e01.strm Instead it is: ?video_id=-sGiE10zNQM That is weird because the contents of s01e01.strm are: plugin://plugin.video.youtube/play/?video_id=-sGiE10zNQM So Emby is obviously reading the strm file and trying to guess at what it is instead of just passing the path to Kodi. How can I make Emby give Kodi the correct path?

I got the new version was forced to redo the database and now the spotlight in the skin Artic Zephyr fanart images don't show to fix this i have to go into tv shows and let each fanart load once and after that they show in the spotlight same goes for the movies. Its like Kodi has to load the images once for them to be able to show in the spotlight. Covers do show without problem its just the background fanart. Was there something changed in this version? i have been using the betas for a while and never had this come up before today.
