  1. For some odd reason, WMC is playing a lot of my videos with multiple audio sources simultaneously. For example, an anime might have Japanese and English audio tracks. Instead of (logically) playing the default track, it's playing both at the same time. Is there anyway to fix this to only play one? *Edit: Just a thought, could it have something to do with my language settings in WMC? Since the Japanese audio is default, and WMC is trying to play English? *Edit2: Tested the video with WMC DVD language setting set to Japanese and it still plays both tracks at the same time. I think I should test all my dual audio sources. I know it did this for Happy Gilmore, so I stripped the French audio since I'll never use that anyway. *Edit3: Tested several movies which contain 2 or more audio tracks and WMC plays all of them at the same time.
  2. Installed Media Browser Theater version 3.0.5182.20892. I noticed I couldn't use the "configure audio" button under "Video Player" options. It was looking in the standard LAV filter installation location (C:\Program Files (x86)\LAV Filters). However I had earlier installed KLite codec pack, which puts them in a subdirectory of itself (C:\Program Files (x86)\Klite Codec Pack\LAV Filters) Uninstalling Klite and re-installing LAV Filters solved the problem. I opened up MBT and was shown the initial use wizard thingy, something that hadn't come up before!!!
  3. Hello, I would love to see an option added to select audio tracks and subtitles with the Andriod. I was shocked it was not on it by default
  4. [uPDATE] - additional information and clarifications. I'm having a fairly consistent issue with the last two server betas (including 3.0.5188.21314) Where, when streaming, several blu-ray ISOs play (it seems) whatever the #2 audio stream is and incorrectly states it is playing the primary (English) audio stream when the english stream is an HD audio stream (e.g. DTS-MA). Switching streams seems to have the same issue, and critically, there appears to be no way to actually select the primary English stream either before or during playback. I've tested this in the web interface and XBMB3C (in streaming mode) and behavior happens across a number of BD ISOs with multiple audio streams and an HD primary stream. Note this problem does not appear when directly accessing the file system - MBC and XBMB3C both play the expected English audio track for my BD ISOs. Additionally, DVD ISOs play the expected audio track both locally and when streaming. Happy to provide any additional information upon request!
  5. So i was trying to get subtitles to work on MBC/WMC without having to use MPC and the only option seemed to be Media Control. Media Control is fine for the more experience user but is not very WAF worthy. So i decide to try and get MCERemote plus (which is the only other alternative to Media Control) and after 2 days of messy around i finally got it to work properly. So i decided to share my setup so that others may benefit. This has only been tested with Embedded subs only but MceRemote simply turns on or off the subtitle section of FFDshow. So if FFDshow properly enables the external sub, there is no reason why MCE remote wouldnt work. What i installed: Lav x64 (audio/video/splitter) - Latest Build FFDshow x64(Video/DXVA) MCERemote Plus Win7DSFilterTeaker 5.9 Install: Install Lav (you can install X86 and x64...doesnt really matter) Install FFDshow x64 (only video decoder is needed), for the rest of the menus, I left default for the video codec choice (do not enable Subtitles) and disabled the audio mixer Extract MCERemote where ever you want. if you have UAC enabled (set the exe to always Run as Admin) Configure: Win7DSFilterTeaker 5.9: use it to properly assigned x64 codec to FFDshow and Lav for audio (Follow the Lav guide on the Forum) Open Lav Audio and set it up for your system needs (ie: enable AC3 DTS whatever you need) Open open FFDshow and make sure you follow the configuration shown in the jpg that is in the MCERemote Plus folder Open Lav Splitter. Now if your using this for manly anime as i am, you can simply set your Lav Splitter config like my screenshot and if the video files was properly encoded, it should work without a hich. You can view this page to get a explanation on the Splitter if your not familar with it. Now start MCERemote and configure your shortcut keys to do the switching and make sure FFDshow is selected and DirectVobsub is unselected and press OK Thats It! Now start up MBC and start a anime or any video containing subs. Press on your designated Toggle sub key and it should turn on/off the sub. If it does not, press the button once, then right-click on the FFDshow icon and make sure there is a check mark next to Subtitle (this is what the toggle function does in MCERemote config). If that works but still no sub, right-click the FFDshow icon again and this time under subtitle stream, make sure its has a check next to the subtitle and not "No Subtitle". If it was set to "No Subtitle" then Lav Splitter probably wasnt able to set the proper sub which could be be cause the 3 letter code is wrong. The way it suppose to work: FFDshow Subtitle is not checked by default Subtitle must Not be on "No Subtitle " or Toggle will do nothing Audio switching shouldnt be necessary if Lav Splitter is configured properly and Video files are properly encoded with Subs Things i have noticed with MCERemote: Once i switch audio using the shortcut key, i cant seem to switch back. Any feedback would be appreciated. Its not such a big deal because since Lav splitter switches the video to the proper audio on startup but the switch button seems to still not work..as if its a the end of a list and cant go back to the first entry. Cycle Sub streams doesnt seems to work.. probably the same reason as the Cycle Audio stream. Shorcut keys must be a keyboard key and not MCE_... becuase WMC doesnt seem to register it.
  6. I just finish reading the topic that was locked but im in the same boat and have yet to find a solution. In the audio setting if i leave ac3 ticked, WMC is unable to play the video but if i test the same video via graphstudio64 , it plays just fine and bitstreams. If i untick ac3, WMC plays the file but in PCM. Also im having issues with anime. Both the english and jap audio will play at the same time.
  7. That worked. I went to LAV Splitter and typed in eng in the audio box and now it works. Thanks.
  8. I know this doesn't involve MB3, but since it involves my HTPC and this is by far the most helpful forum (of any topic) I've ever been a member on, I thought I'd post it here, in the general discussion. This has been a problem for me ever since I first set up my machine, and I can't seem to figure out what the problem is... First, my setup: HTPC connected to audio receiver (Sony STR-DN610) via HDMI Audio receiver connected to TV (Panasonic 65GT30) via HDMI Have tried with HDAVI both turned on, and off, and I'm getting the same results My issue is, sometimes (seems to happen randomly, as in; not every time I do this) when my TV/Receiver gets turned off, or I change inputs; when I get back to my HTPC input I have the speaker icon with a red "X" on it in the corner and the tooltip displays "No speakers or headphones are plugged in" and I get no audio. This forces me to reset the computer, and since this is my main HTPC (the one that runs the server) it can be a major annoyance, not just for me having to restart my computer, but to anyone else that might happen to be watching anything somewhere else in the house since they lose connection to the server. I figure it's got something to do with the fact that when my receiver turns off or changes inputs, somehow my computer thinks there is no audio device connected, but even when I switch back to the HTPC input the computer doesn't see an audio device has been re-connected. I was just wondering if anyone else has had a similar issue, or if there is a way for me to fix/work around this problem, since it's quite annoying having to reset my computer 75% of the time I switch to another input (ie. game system, satellite, etc.) Thanks, Patrick
  9. Lately I've been having a problem with MBTheater Crashing when I play Movies. It doesn't seem to happen with all movies, but with the vast majority of them, it does. So far, I haven't had any problems with TV shows for whatever reason, and everything seems to play perfectly fine in MBClassic, but with MBT I can hardly seem to get any movies to work, as soon as my intro video finished playing, I get an error saying: "Cannot play back the audio stream: the audio format is not supported" I just finished uninstalling all of my codecs, etc. (I was using Shark007), I did a fresh installation of LAV filters, as per the tutorial linked from this site, and MBC still seems to work fine, but still having the same problem with MBT not playing movies for me. I've saved my logs from the crash. I believe I started getting this error after that last 1 or 2 updates. Logs: Server Theater Crash EDIT: Also getting THIS error when playing some titles, which causes MBT to crash, and a THIS one when trying to mark certain TV episodes as watched. The latter error doesn't cause a crash, but it forces me to use the web client to mark some episodes as played.
  10. I was testing a few options of saving audio books (or is it audiobooks) as music or as books. That is for another topic but as I was testing the library structure in the web client, I selected the next/previous track hyperlinks. The next track hyperlink caused it to jump several tracks, never the same, and then selecting the previous hyperlink jumped back a different number of tracks. I tested this on several music albums I have just carefully tagged including multi-disc CDs and got the same results. I will be happy to provide logs and screen shots if needed but it is pretty easy to test. Anybody else seeing this? Thanks, Tanamur Full product details in signature file below...
  11. MBServer: Version 3.0.5083.27698 MBClassic: Version 3.0.100.0 B12-4.1 MBTheater: Not installed PC Server OS: Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit SP1 Codecs: Nothing other than installed with Win7 out of the box and MBServer Extender: HP MediaSmart Connect x280n Sorry if this is a bump of my own topic but could someone instruct me how I can go about troubleshooting mp4 audio playback failure on my extender? I am no expert on containers and codecs. From my standpoint, the mp4 files play video & audio in everything locally on my HTPC/laptop including Media Center and MB-Classic. Also, the mp4 files play video & audio with no problem on the extender in the native HP interface both from the local hard disk and network share from the same HPTC/Laptop (so the device can play the video/audio). It is just the playback through Media Center and MB-Classic that fails on the audio portion on the extender. Video works perfectly. ffprobe = Stream #0:1(eng): Audio: aac (mp4a / 0x6134706D), 48000 Hz, stereo, fltp, 124 kb/s (default) I would really appreciate a point in the right direction. I have not started installing codecs when I don't understand most of the settings and the files play fine locally outside of Media Center. Full clean logs are in the other topic. http://mediabrowser.tv/community/index.php?/topic/2583-extender-mbc-audio-in-mp4-container-not-playing/ Thanks, Tanamur

    iOS Audio Issues

Hi, I searched for this topic and didn't find any results so hopefully this is user error and an easy fix. I was able to successfully get video streaming on my iOS devices tonight, but the audio won't play through the speakers. Audio DOES work through headphones, and also through a bluetooth device (Jambox). Audio works fine from other apps through the iPhone speakers (Netflix, Amazon, YouTube, etc), so I feel pretty comfortable that it's not a phone issue. The issue appears when streaming via wifi or over LTE. Is this expected behavior? I really appreciate any insight anyone can provide. App v1.0 Server v3.0.5061.25570
