Here is the glitch. Look at the Manhattan Project treatment. (The expected treatment is side case (non clear)) Here is the corresponding game folder (I guess moving from gamebrowser II to gamebrowser III will require a bit of cleaning (screenshot/snap, folder_back/boxrear ... ) Of course, all the NES games are in their own subfolder, in one "NES platform" folder. (I believe it is the recommended setting and it was working flawlessly with MB2.6/GBII/Coverart3). The "folder" file is a jpeg. Most covers are treated properly. The problem only concerns few games. I would say 6 or 7 in this NES folder and maybe two or three more overall for other platforms. Finally, I am not sure if this help but here is a picture of my Coverart setup: You can see I have a profile for the "nes" folder which is the one including the "Manhattan project" subfolder. Thanks for answering me.

What if i set that option then log out, the my roommate logs in, then MBC is restarted, who is logged in automatically? last and current (when setting option) were different. oh snap.. i love logic games. i realize its not an actual handling change, just a string change to avoid confusion to user. Chocolate is always my default theme, i updated MBC to dev build, and went back to default theme, until i manually downloaded chocolate through the new plugin interface.

I have a Dell laptop with Intel HD graphics, when the video starts playing and the MB overlay is present all is well. After a second the MB overlay disappears, and then the screen blacks out for second while the video continues to play (audio is present) and everytime I touch the screen or the track pad it blacks out again before the UI comes on. I'm assuming this is the video switching to some exclusive fullscreen mode, because if I snap another app to the side it doesn't do it. It also occasionally happens without touching the screen or the trackpad, but I don't know what causes it. I've tried all kinds of settings on the video card, and nothing keeps this from happening. The Intel graphics in my Surface don't have this problem, so I don't know what it could be. Some Dell crapware maybe? Anyone have an idea what might be causing it? Had a similar problem? Wouldn't be an issue, but I like to watch movies before bed on my laptop while my wife watches some crappy reality show.

@@gcw07 That's fine, its basic .xml using built in action libraries and pretty easy to write, it's all the guess work making it hard, only too happy to keep it updated as MB changes, i would be doing it for myself anyways. I am doing 2 - a basic play/stop fwd/rew layout as well as an advanced one that switches back and forth between MBT and WMC for those of us still using it for LiveTV, even included a button to screenshot, making it nice and easy for peeps to snap images of issues and get to you guys at the anvil.

Just one thought at the moment... would prefer not to see the pause button overlay the video and instead, bring up the menu bar on the bottom giving you access to media controls. The video should always be playing uninterrupted, and a pause via click should be understood but not highlighted. Ruins the scene often, especially if you're using metro on a desktop (as I do on occasion) because the snap feature is really nifty Thanks!

Thanks very much for the link Cbers / Jack. I've been able to get MPC to play the files! Slight difference though that instead of installing the filters manually, I ran the MPC installer as I may use MPC as my player (if I can ever get the remote commands to work). Anyway, I'm unable to get WMC to be able to play the file I described in the original post (although MPC plays it happily). I've installed the ffdShow x64 and MPC x64 installers and configured ffdShow as per your guide. However, the tweaker dialogs looks a bit different, I that I don't have any ffdShow filters for 32-bit? Should I install ffdshow 32 bit as well as x64? Here's a snap shot of the codec dialog - you'll notice also that I have nothing on 64 bit for mpg? So I you don't mind, my questions: Why have I got no 32-bit filters and only Microsoft options? Does WMC run in 32-bir mode? Which filters should I get installed for playing mpeg files? Thanks for your help - much appreciated. Alex
