	Hello, I just reinstalled my media center pc with fresh windows 11. I had to reinstall Emby client app from the windows store as the old installer I was familiar with doesnt appear to be available anymore. In the old pc with an old processor and much older video card I was able to passthrough all DD (including Atmos TrueHD) and DTS bitstreams without issues and perfect audio. With the new app up to E-AC3 is ok but any HD bitstream like DD TrueHD or DTS-X stutters like hell and then the audio stop working altogether. In the Audio Options of the Video Player, I set NVIDIA High Def Audio and audio passthrough enabled for ac3, eac3, dts, dns-hd, truehd. Am I doing anything wrong? are there any other setting I need to change? I tried exclusive audio mode but it dent make any difference. I have been using emby since its windows-mce edition and this is the worse it has ever worked for me. Most of my content is from blurry and I have saved the best track which is in truhd and it is now unwatchable.

	In the past few weeks I have gotten this error trying to play a few TV episode. They play fine on the web client but I get the "Playback error no compatible streams" in the Emby MS Store app. The first couple of times it happened I thought it might be a bad file so I replaced it with a new file and it worked fine. But this time I wanted to see if there was anything different that may be causing it. I will attach the relevant portion of the log file, but the only thing I notice right away is that the audio in this particular file has a profile listed as  "Codec AAC - Profile HE-AAC" where most other ones just say "Codec AAC" and don't show any profile. I am wondering if it's just a matter of not having the appropriate codecs installed, so I thought I'd ask before randomly installing codec packs.

	I'm posting this if anyone needs a work-around.

	I've been having an issue with bitstreaming Dolby Atmos to my Yamaha RX-A8A AVR. If an AC3 or EAC3 stream is encoded with Atmos, the audio cuts out, sometimes often, sometimes periodically (the frequency of cut outs changes with each movie). I didn't notice any issues with Atmos encoded streams in any of the higher bitrate streams (e.g. Dolby True HD 7.1 seems fine). Also, it doesn't seem to matter if I have bitstreaming enabled or not, the audio was cutting out with it off, but without the Atmos decoder on my AVR flipping out, it was just little blips of audio cutting out).
</p>

<p>
	This cropped up after a hardware change (at least I think thats what it is, becuase I don't recall having an issue until I changed out the GPU). Current hardware:
</p>

<p>
	AMD Ryzen 5 5700G, 32GB ram, Radeon 9060XT 16GB (previous graphics card was a GeForce 4060Ti 8GB). I also never had an issue with my main PC hooked up (AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D, GeForce 4090).
</p>

<p>
	AFAIK the default behaviour for the Windows app is Balanced video decoding. If you change to High Quality, the problem gets significantly worse, changing to Energy Efficient appears to fix the issue.
</p>

	I am new to Emby but have spent a fair amount of time familiarizing myself with the software as well as testing.
</p>

<p>
	I would like to store metadata in the media folders as .nfo files, but am for the life of me unable to get this feature to work. I have:
</p>

<p>
	- configured the library in question to read and write the nfo files<br />
	- ticked "<span style="background-color:#ffffff;color:rgba(0,0,0,0.87);font-size:14.424px;">Save artwork into media folders" <br />
	- </span>restarted the server after the config change<br />
	- modified metadata for an individual photo followed by running a metadata refresh for that item
</p>

<p>
	but I am unable to see the nfo in the media folder. (I have also tried to change exporer settings to show hidden files just in case it was hidden, but no luck.) Finally I ran a search on the entire file system for "*.nfo" but not a single file was found.
</p>

<p>
	Could it be inadequate folder permissions? - If so, how should I modify the permissions?
</p>

<p>
	Apart from this, I am quite impressed with Emby in comparison to other products I have tested.
</p>

	Any help would be highly appreciated.

	I have searched the forum but can't find this having been handled.

	We are overseas and I thought I'd download some movies for my son to watch while we are traveling.

	I can select to download and Emby adds them to the queue - great.
</p>

<p>
	And then it duplicates them.
</p>

<p>
	And then they all start downloading at different rates.
</p>

<p>
	And then it duplicates them again.
</p>

<p>
	and again ...
</p>

<p>
	I now have 45 progress entries for 5 movies, and none completed after leaving it running for a day and a night.
</p>

	I am using Emby Windows 2.207.2.0 client.  Emby Server on Windows 4.8.10.0.

	Anyone have any idea what is going on?

Originally, all rows were shifted all the way to the right, requiring navigation back to the left-most item (most recent). Now most rows appear centered w/ navigation buttons @ both ends of each row, but unresponsive to mouse clicks.

	I imagine this has to do w/ the ongoing beta customizations? I've seen similar discussions elsewhere, but unrelated to Theater. Given the dynamic update nature of Theater, this seems to have slipped in w/out any changes on my part?

	Hi I have an issue with Emby windows wont download movies or TV series its stuck in ready to transfer, it completed the conversions, i have tried to change download quality to keep original and it just stays ready to transfer, i have checked the BITS manager and it shows transient error, tried to clear the job list to restart it made no difference, i have checked the firewall settings and even turned it off temporarily to confirm it wasnt blocking it.

	i cant run the app as admin it wont allow it, from some research its to do with the windows store apps.

	First of all, I am very excited to be finally seeing an attempt at this outside of the native Blu-ray player, unlike on Apple TV for example basically no-one ended up supporting it.
</p>

<p>
	When playing on 1080p SDR 1080p25 and 1080p24 work flawlessly, however when trying to play 4K HDR 24Hz content, the TV is incorrectly reading it as 3D.
</p>

<p>
	Keeping in mind this, it works fine with some content when 3D is manually turned off, but some content just straight up does not play either way, which I could narrow down to potentially being a bug with Dolby Vision Profile 7.6 which should just be ignored and one example of HEVC Level 5.2 being tagged while it's in reality nowhere close to 5.1 limits.
</p>

<p>
	Network bandwidth is not to blame, some files with even higher bitrate play fine and available bandwidth is 400-ish MBit/s.

	Using Windows Emby app downloaded from Microsoft Store.

	Downloading contents using iOS and Android have no issues and it start downloading straight away.

<p>
	Only Windows Emby app, itstuck at Ready to Transfer. Saw the log there's an error on downloading. Not sure why is there an error. Tried BITS Manager and there's no other queue before this.

	I use the latest Emby Windows App frequently, and it works fine most of the time. However, it fairly frequently hangs when starting. By this, I mean it displays the animated logo but then, instead of showing the normal home screen, it displays a fixed Emby logo and freezes. I can see no way to exit the app except to force it to close via Alt-F4 or Task Manager, etc. I have looked at the logs and they don't seem very helpful. I turned on debug logging, and here is a sample of one of the resulting logs from such a hung session.

<p>
	I have many logs from such hung sessions, and they are all very similar to this. The app doesn't crash, so there is no associated crashdump. It's just stuck.
</p>

<p>
	Note that sometimes it will fail like this several times in a row and then suddenly load just fine without my doing anything to intervene.
</p>

	On a few occasions, the app has appeared to crash during the creation of the animated logo. I am attaching a crashdump that I believe is associated with one such failure. This is much less frequent than the hung sessions.

	Note that I still also have the older Emby Theater installed, and it never has any issues like this. Indeed, once the new app starts successfully, it works just fine too.
</p>

<p>
	These are running on a very capable and up-to-date Windows 11 machine dedicated as a home theater PC. I have a separate dedicated Windows 11 machine running the server.

	I would appreciate any assistance ending this annoyance.

	Hi - Recently a lot of movies are playing choppy on my Xbox one.  They seem to play ok on Samsung TV, but not the Xbox.  Sometimes pausing the playback helps (as if it's buffering somewhere in the background), but other times not.  Sometimes it plays, but then gets choppy.  Some  movies worked fine in the past, but now are experiencing this choppiness, which is weird.
</p>

	I've looked at task manager on the windows server, and nothing seems to be maxing out, and Emby is saying everything is playing direct, and not even transcoding.
</p>

<p>

	I have been using the old Emby for windows ver 3.0.20 with some custom icons.There was an issue where the card background shows (offputting to me), which I was able to remedy with the old winstyles.css.The card background was made transparent so all was good. It also allows the icons to be closer together so they all fit in a single row.Otherwise I end up with 2 rows, so bonus.

	With the new MS store version 4.10.0.3 it's back to looking odd and my icons scroll to take up 2 rows. So I could use some help.
