I thought I'd start up a thread, so we can say a few words about any recent movies you have watched and pass thoughts on them, so those sat on the fence regarding a particular film may decide it's worth a shot.

Ok so I'll start of with a couple.

The Conjuring (2013)

I've always been sceptical about Horrors, they always seem to go too far with gore or end up been down right stupid, well, what a nice turn of events with this movie.  The events are based on a true story(apparently), and the pace is pretty good from start to finish.  Now I'm not one that gets edgey by any means and I'm very thick skinned, however, I have to say that the suspense in this film is bang on the money, it had my arm hairs standing on end quite often and physiologically, its a trickster!! I thoroughly enjoyed being tense throughout the movie and would certainly watch it again. This is how horrors should be made.

Pain & Gain (2013)

What can I say, it was totally not the movie I was expecting to see from the Front Cover..... This is a good thing by the way.  Wahlberg &The Rock play outstanding parts in this movie about 3 body builders who need to make some money.  The balance between the story and the comedy in this is perfect(the comedy would probably be more appealing to the males, not girly girls). It's a thoroughly enjoyable movie from start to finish, with no lulls at all throughout.  For a 2hr 10min movie, it feels more like an hour and a half (Good Right?).  Watch this anyday, anytime and you wont feel disappointed.

We have been watching SteinsGate - definitely my favorite in a while.  Kinda a cross between 12 Monkeys and Primer.

I thought it would be a good to throw some ideas around on what playlist's you personally use, or you think would be a good suggestion.

My (extensive) collection consists of the Harry Potter set, the first Alien, Toy Story 4, Gladiator, Mortal Engines, Saving Private Ryan, Schindler's List, Skyscraper (it was cheap) and some fan made 4K Star Wars editions.

Maybe add Apocalypse Now ?

Premise of the game is simple.

You each get 3 guesses to name the person that is associated with the most movies on my personal Emby system.  Only movies count and not TV Shows.
You can use all 3 guesses in one post or spread your guesses out in multiple posts.

I'll let it run until someone guesses the person I think has the most movies.  At that point I'll run some SQL to see if there is another person with more movies associated but for now I honestly don't know the answer but "think" I know who has been in the most movies (no hints).  So it will be kind of fun for me as well as I honestly don't know the answer yet.

I'll post the number of movies that show up for any person guessed.

So to be clear this is what my personal Emby server shows based on my choices of meta-data providers when searching for a person.  It's not based on the meta-data provider or any 3rd party list.
You can guess an actor, director, writer or producer. Different versions of a movie are only counted once.  If I have a 3D, 1080, 720 & 4K version of movie it's still just one movie for this purpose.

So if you guess "Tom Cruise" you would not win and I'd tell you that he appears in 51 movies.
If you guessed "John Malkovich" I'd tell you he shows up in 63 movies but still not the top contender.

The current size of my movies currently stands at 23K+ movies.

So let's see who gets the answer first.  I will bet after the fact a lot of people will say.  Yea that makes sense, this "person" has been in a lot of movies, probably more than you thought.

In recent years, I've been trying REALLY HARD to distance myself from Facebook, so I'm trying something new this year:

I created a discord server for Talkback (Discussions) on many of the current running series and/or upcoming movies. 

Talkbacks, in the past, have always been a great way to get the community involved with the building plot of a particular series or movie. It's something that's been kind of "drying up" in recent years and something I've really missed with interactions since Facebook started push many forums to die out.
