The Nest 54.7 has wrong programming

The problem still exists. Did Emby take any action, ebr?
  3. Oh more than likely, but I think it's already been proven that for quicksync you don't need a lot of ram. Realisitcally OP could get an N100 based NUC and have no problems with it being a server.
  4. very strange. I read some reddit and other and most are saying it's not working. not all but most. very very strange. maybe there is a matrix, the probability might be higher than I was dreaming the last 5 years. evening cet I will try an usb with standard lg player. I will also search old dv mkvs I'm sure of playing it via TV only. maybe it's the v5 vs v8 vs whatever. as written I only have mkvs theres nothing else. thanks and happy Thursday

Roku TV caches wrong subtitle file

follow the instructions to send a log from the app Then also provide the ffmpeg log. When you do this, please only play the one item in question and only choose the forced subtitle. Thanks.
  6. Hi. It sounds like DV is only supported with the internal Zidoo player. If you bring up stats for nerds in the Android TV app, what does it show for HDR Support?

    Emby Premier Costs etc.

I am not sure how much Emby is paying for this but maybe it would be possible for users to enter their own API key instead, since it's free for individual usage (for less than $50k in revenue: https://thetvdb.com/api-information)? The form to apply for the API key does seem scary but it's basically auto approved for individual users which is how I have multiple API keys for free...

  9. Has the original issue alleviated?

    Emby Premier Costs etc.

Correct. Also, we have no plans to eliminate Live TV from Emby.
  11. I have already created some scheduled Series that record every Tuesday - Saturday, but it'd be great to edit the Start Date and End Date of it in case you need to change it or made a mistake. I just found myself now that what I had scheduled on TV got the time stamp changed by them, so now I have to delete my existent Series and create new ones from scratch. Ideally you'd click on a Series and be able to change Start and End Date.

    Prevent Subtitle Burn-In Transcoding?

@jaycedkHmm... I don't have a Subtitle Options under Advanced. Is it a plugin of some kind?
  13. You don't need to download any apps - and this is the point we are making. Emby does not 'play' anything on the LG TV - all it effectively does is pass the 'data' to the internal LG player. It then plays it. This is why there are restrictions. Emby has no control over what the internal player can or cannot play. The 100% proof of this - is to copy the file to a USB stick (as is, just copy your MKV file) and then in the WebOS file explorer (already in the 'Apps') try and play the file. You can download a TS or MP4 DV Demo files from the web and put those on the USB as well if you like - they will play/activate DV - unless the much nwer versions of WebOS now support MKV, I'm suspecting the MKV will not activate DV (and never has) - it may play as HDR if the DV has that fallback layer (MKV/DV 8 ) but will play with odd colours if a MKV/DV5 as the LG Player will not recognise it as DV and change it's colour space.

Option to play using external player

Hi. In the case of Android, we don't control this. The Android system is the one producing that dialog.
  15. Hi, there's already an open request for this or something functionally equivalent. Please join in and contribute to the existing discussion at:
  16. Hi. You aren't the originator of this request and the original request only mentions using the "unwatched" filter in (presumably) the normal views. To hide content there would mean hiding it pretty much everywhere (although, there would have to be some sort of view of "things I marked not interested" in order for you to change your mind). I presumed that you, as the server owner, had only added things you weren't interested in to your server due to requests from your family. I use the folder-based access control to keep things my kids want but I don't separate. It works well for me but maybe not for everyone but I wanted to be sure everyone was aware it is possible.

Option to play using external player

Any chance of this being being reopened again? I am new to Emby and so far very happy with the product. I have been reluctant to buy the product earlier because I unfortunately have 70% of my movies and TV shows in ISO format. I did the mistake when backing up my Blu Ray and DVD discs in the past. It's just the main movie file without the menus, but still, the issue is to play the movies. So, I am really happy about the option of using external player, but as I would like to use the internal one when I can, it is annoying that you have to go to the overall system setting to change the player before watching a movie. The above suggestion is good, but if difficult to add this, a probably easier way is just to add the internal player as option when you select the "external player" to use for a movie. I am using Emby on NVidia Shields. I'll convert my files, but that will take a long, long time...

    Prevent Subtitle Burn-In Transcoding?

    Try some of these settings
  21. Luke, just tested with arm7 and same issue as regular android tv version
  22. hi sorry I don't know how many times I should say that. I never transcoded anything in my life with emby or any other way. I'm 100% sure I watched endless dv movies and shows without receiver (directly with lg app) on b7 and a cxx I don't know from last year. I have only and I really mean only mkv files. the last time I had an ts file or avi or I don't know whatever is 8 years ago best guess. there must be a change with emby or lg webos. I'm not an it guy but with 3 completed studies and a strong interest in technology I would say I'm not completely stupid I know the settings and my setup and in my pictures you see that 2 different dv files (that were played correctly some weeks ago) are recognized as dv and are played directly. they are just pink now or hdr only mode so no, we do not agree that lg and emby aren't playing (or better weren't) playing dv mkv files. i can copy these 2 on usb later but I'm not sure what this info will help? first I need to download an lg app that is able to play local dv files I guess? Last time I read about these topics were some years ago and vlc were not... happy Thursday! sun is shining! it's just tv... but nevertheless annoying...

EMBY no internet access, local connection ONLY

you are correct it does not.. I've removed it.
  24. Hi, I think it's something that's been talked about a lot and can be difficult to search and find a direct answer for... I have a lot of media with image-based subtitles. While my Synology DS220+ can handle a few basic transcodes at a time, even one subtitle burning in brings it to its knees. However it's very difficult at this point to teach my (remote) family how to turn off subtitles by default, and even harder to teach/convince them to turn subtitles on for every movie/show/episode they watch... so I want to leave those settings on for them. But any media with an image-based subtitle is a ticking time bomb if they go to try and play it. The 100% answer would be for me to remux the media to get rid of it, but that'd be a considerable work effort in my current environment. Is there any way to prevent image-based subtitle burn in altogether? Regular non-subtitle transcoding is fine, even necessary in my environment in rare cases... but subtitle burn-in transcoding in particular. Like... if it finds an image-based subtitle, either defer to the next best SRT/ASS or even just turn the subtitles off in that one instance, before it blows anything up? Appreciate any help

Emby Docker Unraid Fallo de conexion

No tengo TLS, voy a ver como se configura.

Emby Docker Unraid Fallo de conexion

Is your Emby Server secured with TLS? (ie. have configured certificate for HTTPS, etc) By the looks of it you are trying to use the HTTPS version of app.emby.media - which won't work unless your server is also running HTTPS You can try forcing the browser to use HTTP only but that is getting more difficult to do, see this helpful guide
