I've tried to install it, but wasn't successful. I ended up with this error:

._emby.tmg, invalid app package for security failed!

My Samsung TV No is UNU7120, and my current firmware version is 1260.

I've tried with a FAT32 and NTFS pen drive.

Hi there, I'm sorry to hear about this. Unfortunately I can't find much information when googling about this. Make sure to use a USB 2.0 drive. Can you also check your TV settings, maybe there is a security option you need to enable to allow side loading installations of apps. Thanks.

I deleted everything from the flash drive  or just format it FAT32. Then extracted the file tizen.zip directly to the flashdrive. Switch off the TV. Insert flash drive into TV USB port. Switch on the TV. You will now see Emby under downloaded apps.

Hello, is Emby available for Samsung UE55MU6122K?

Hi, it looks like this is a recent model, right? You should be able to use our USB installation.

Hi, I tried to install App from USB, it worked on my Samsung TV, but I would like to ask, it's in english, but the TV would be for parents. Is it possible to translate this App? I helped on oneskyapp.com with emby server and Webapp translation to Czech. I found there category TVOS/Others, is this also for Samsung Tizen App? If yes, there is Czech language missing in this category. Would it eventualy be possible to add it there so it could be translated? Or is it different category?

Hi there, did you set your language preference in the app's settings?

hmm, that would be maybe the problem .. OK, I'll check it later, TV is a present, so it' packed back in the box. But I think my friend has the same TV or so, so I can ask him to try it.

thanks

Hi

I am currently using version 1.0.85 for samsung tv. Version 84 also worked perfectly. However, during the current version 86 installation, you throw this error:

_emby.tmg, invalid app package for security failed!

I installed each version from USB the same way. Luckily I had the 85 version installer. It is perfectly re-installed. I don't know what the problem might be with the new one. It's a little confusing to always ask me to update but I can't.

Hi,

I am using 1.0.86 (2020/10/20) version since 3 weeks and worked perfectly. Today I started the client again on my new Samsung Smart tv but it isnt working anymore. The error message I get is:

“The application cannot be executed because the validity period has expired”

Can someone tell me what is wrong or how to fix this?

Thank you.

Hello, I had the same problem as you.
Here is how I solved the problem.
Delete the old package on your usb key or format it.
Download the package again on the site and copy it back to your key,
it may need to be extracted on your key.
Be careful before anything else remove the application if it is already
on your TV. Important ;)
That's it for me it works.
Good luck.
Greetings. (Samsung QLED TV with Tizen v.1310)

Sorry i speak french....

Hi,

I have only had the problem once.

Is it possible that since the last version of Tizen, the applications may need a certificate or other? Security ?

I do not know any more sorry.

If the problem comes back you should probably ask Luke.

Glad to have helped you. :)

Hi, let's start with a basic question or two.

Is your Tizen TV and your Emby Server on the same home network?
Do you have any other clients connecting to your Emby Server?

Hi there!

I successfully managed to install using usb stick (I received the 3 quick messages in the upper right corner of the TV), but I can't run the app because my tv is an Samsung Signage model QM49R running Tizen 4.0, and this model didn't come with smart hub installed to launch apps.

What can I do? Try to find a way to install the "smart hub" so I can launch the Emby app, or maybe thats a kind of shortcut to point the location of the app installed?

Help! thanks in advance!

Regards
