Is there any chance that it will work on Netcast? I have an old LG with Netcast 4.5 and it will run Netflix, Plex and other but not emby..

And I LOVE emby..

Can you please open a topic in the community about your issues with the samsung app? Thanks.

Subtitles do work now. Not entirely sure about HEVC but, I do think it will work. However, the app still feels sluggish. I'm not sure if that has to do with the size of the library. Also choosing another audio track does not work, it will still play the default audio track. Also a weird thing where sometimes if I try and select a different audio track by actually using the up button (if the default one is the second one for some reason. I think it's caused by alphabetical order instead of track order) it crashes.

Very nice update, however, in the subtitles, still have some issues. When you select the movie, and try to change the subtitle language, the APP crashes.

but, if you play the movie, and when the movie is playing you change the subtitle, there is no problem.

This is just a minor fix for the next update :)

By the way... i can't see the emby app on my samsung TV (model UE40D6530, Country Portugal), only my LG TV

Cheers!

I am still encountering the issue where the controls stop displaying when you're watching something and you can no longer skip through the videos with the arrow buttons on the remote.

Was hoping that this update would of resolved that.

The only way I can get things working again is to turn the TV off and on again.

First of all, thanks for the update.

My Emby server is a Synology DS118 NAS.

Finally the subtitles (mkv embedded, and external) partially work on LG SJ810V. When I enable subtitle it takes about a minute or two to display on the TV. I see that enabling subtitle starts an ffmpeg process (quite low 5-8% CPU usage) on the server. After it's finished the subtitle become available on TV. It's quite slow, but works...

The GUI on TV looks great, but really slow when scrolling with magic remote. Fortunately the arrow keys works fine without slowdowns.

Changing audio tracks is still broken, it has no effect, only the first audio track works. (I know it takes only two minutes to change audio index with mkvtoolnix)

Keep up good work,

I can confirm this bug.  I experience the exact same issue and reproduce it the exact same way.

To clarify, after you select a movie, you can select the drop-down menu to attempt to change the subtitle language, and the drop down menu will appear.  But as soon as you press the directional arrow on the remote to change the language, the emby app crashes completely.

Hi, this is resolved for the next release of the app, thanks.

Hi, any changelog for 1.07?

Changing audio tracks is still broken, it has no effect, only the first audio track works (I tried with 3-4 different movies).

Changing audio tracks works perfectly fine. Make sure you haven't restricted user access to transcoding. If the issue remains after that, please see how to report a media playback issue. Stay tuned to the blog for the release announcement.

You're right. I didn't know that changing audio track requires transcoding. Thanks.

it's because there's no track selection api to tell LG to choose a non-default audio track.
